Zoom based on time til next turn
If my next turn isnt for half an hour, being zoomed in to the road doesn't give me any information I can't see out the window. If the next turn isnt for a while, zoom all the way out to top down view so you know where you are in your journey. As you get closer to your next turn, goto the regular view so you can see upcoming street names to help you prepare for the turn. Then when you're approaching the intersection, go to a top down zoomed in view (like google maps)

More information for the Editor when opening UR

Problem:
Often the UR (User Report) arrive to us without information, even trying to contact the user we do not get a good response rate, so much is that most open URs are closed as UNIDENTIFIED.
Improvement: When opening a UR you could get more information for the publisher in WME as
Route Start Location
Destination of the Route
Location source (Waze Database or Google Maps)
APP configuration information that user uses as Avoid Dirt Road, Toll, Expressways etc.)You may ask me: The user would not have privacy. In parts yes. When you open a UR, we do not know who the author is. Even if this is a problem, there could be a setting in the APP such as: Send detailed information about the route when opening UR (Yes or No). Option leave as default.

Opción para vías permitidas a PRINCIPIANTES
En Buenos Aires, Argentina al sacar el registro de conducción por primera vez, durante los primeros 6 meses la ley prohíbe la circulación en vías donde la velocidad máxima supere los 60 km/h y, en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, en el ámbito de micro y macro centro. Sería una opción muy interesante que se pueda marcar esto a la hora de elegir las rutas.

integration with the ENGIE app with more travel statistics
Good afternoon . I have used the waze a long time already. . And I love it. I do not travel without it. And recently I acquired the ENGIE device. As described The waze and the engie were made by the same creator. So I wanted to leave a suggestion for Union of the two App. Or rather an integration. Giving statistics on which point the road the car spent more or less. Total trip time. How much time stopped and time in motion. average speed and maximum speed. Among others, it makes the waze more complete and working not only as a map but as an on-board computer. I have many ideas to this App

Traffic sign detection with machine learning
I use waze a few years as my one and only navigation system. In my car is a device holder at the front windows. In Germany we have many highway construction sites. And constant changed street signs are on the highways. Maybe you can add a machine learning system to detect the traffic signs.

Reporting flow
Please streamline the reporting setup to make it more easily done.
You do not allow drivers to type to search yet the reporting can sometimes take 4-5 taps while looking at the phone to find what you want to report exactly(eyes off the road), and got forbid you want to leave a comment. The whole process takes too long and by the time you report, you're sometimes a mile away.
Yes, there is always the option to report later, but part of the fun is knowing you were first to report something ;)

GPS Marker Lag?
I notice some lag from my actual position compared with the GPS marker in the app. Wondering if this is something that is being addressed? iPhone maps doest have as much lag.

Use a voice command to ask from driver for traffic

Create a voice command to ask from driver who drive slower than allowed speed (for example half) that "is traffic in this Ave heavy" and driver answer "yes" or "no" easily3 votes -
Heads up when new route has toll
When traffic is heavy on toll-free roads, waze redirected me to a new route which had toll (to save me 10 min in total).
My suggestion:
if the new route has toll as compared to the toll-free route: Give me a notification.
Better yet: show me how much toll i have to pay to save me x minutes.
I can then accept the new route WITH toll, or stay on the old route WITHOUT toll.3 votes -
Instant directions
An option to just go for the first results on search without any confirmation. As instantaneous as its machinely possible.
I just love the experience of telling "ok google, take me to XYZ place" and get directoins within 3 seconds. This is what it should feel like driving in 2017.

License plate recognition for mobile radars
The idea would be to use the rear camera of the phone to check the licence plates of the cars, and make OCR to read it.
Then it will be compared to a database where users could report the licence plates of the mobile radars onboarded in cars.
Waze could then alert that there is an onboarded radar on the road, and also alert other users with a flag on the map.
