Navigate until parking, don’t stop at reaching the destination.
Once the app declares reaching my destination it stops navigating to it, but if I didn’t find a parking spot and was forced to keep driving It gets complicated because I can’t tell if I’m still close to where I need to get, and I don’t know the way back to that location in case I’d like to circle around till I find a parking spot.

POLLICY Suggestions from Wazers
Dear Wazers,
I believe Waze is an incredible tool, but I think there are opportunities for improvement. Have you considered incorporating features that allow users to suggest improvements to local governments and cities? For instance, users could report issues like potholes, malfunctioning traffic lights, or poorly synchronized signals directly through the app. Waze could then relay these reports to the relevant authorities responsible for maintaining roads and traffic infrastructure.
Additionally, Wazers could provide suggestions for new roads, bridges, or traffic patterns, which could greatly enrich both the Waze experience and governmental planning efforts. By facilitating this exchange of information, Waze could serve as a valuable platform for citizen input on transportation policies and infrastructure development.
Imagine the impact if Waze became not just a navigation tool, but also a conduit for direct communication between drivers and policymakers. It's an exciting prospect that could revolutionize how we navigate and improve our cities.
Let's work together to make Waze not only the best navigation app but also a powerful agent for positive change in our communities.

move hazard alert button
The hazard alert icon is in the lower left corner of the screen on my android auto waze screen. This results in taking my eyes off the road to reach it across the dash. If it were relocated to the lower left corner of android auto screen it would facilitate easier and safer access.

One select to report
To report an issue whilst driving is dangerous and requires 2 presses and some looking at the screen. Why not let driver press the report button just once, at an incident and when vehicle is stopped a reminder comes up on the screen to complete the report. Waze has already logged its location and the driver can then report the issue as normal.

Search certain area
When trying to find a spot on the map, there should be an option to update the search area. Google let us manually update it, and Apple does it automatically. I don't see why Waze users should not have this essential feature for navigating new places. Thank you

Search bar Rework + Favorites Customization
The search feature feels a little bit messy. Instead of having your recent searches listed under your favorites, let’s add a button for recent searches, just like the buttons for gas, food, etc. Next, Instead of having only your work and home favorites listed, let’s list all of your favorite places under the search bar. You can also add the ability to customize your other favorites with icons similar to work and home. A school icon would be very popular, and adding a boy or a girl icon for a friend’s house could be useful. You could also add other icons, (playground set, shopping bag, different colored houses) to overall promote the customization of your favorite places. This simple change of reworking the search bar and editing your favorite place icons would significantly improve the quality of life of this app.

Player FM Audio App Integration
Hello, I'd like to request that Player FM, a podcast app, be added to the available audio app integrations list. It is presently available in Google Maps, so hoping it would not be a heavy lift.

Partage
North = up, but not while driving❗
I'm happy to see that an option to fix North to the up has finally been added (how many years?), thanks to SyberKnight here
💥BUT💥, as it's really great to browse the map (in 2D mode) with fixed North, like a real map, I really don't see the point of fixing the North up while driving. It causes tons of situations where the guidance is unusable (typically when using the phone in portrait and driving to the west, road to come becomes invisible).
So I suggest to add another sub-option: "Follow road direction when driving". If checked:
- when driving (so in 3D in the common case I presume), the map follows the path direction as before
- but when I start to zoom out and drag the map, the North is being fixed to the topI'm happy to see that an option to fix North to the up has finally been added (how many years?), thanks to SyberKnight here

Put locations at top of 'Where To' list at set time and day
I often do things same time each week. It would be great to have the option to set a time and a day for saved locations.
This would mean if I open Waze around 5:30pm on any Tuesday or Thursday, (this) item will start at the top of my 'Where To' list.
This feature would work best in conjunction with a 'Silent' option for each saved location. Since I go to certain places frequently, I already know how to get there.
Setting a Saved Location to 'Silent' would mean directions are only read aloud to the driver IF THEY DIFFER DUE TO TRAFFIC CONDITIONS.
I generally use Waze to go places I already know how to get to. The main reason for using Waze is to try to avoid getting stuck in a traffic jam. But having directions read out is unnecessary, unless the usual route is different.
This alerts the driver that their regular route is compromised for some reason, and Waze becomes even more useful for going places we can already get to easily.

Sectional speed measurement warning to add info on actual speed limit applicable
So at least in my country (Poland) we have these "sectional speed measurement" areas where instead of on point speed measurement, the average speed is measured along say 10km. The warning currently only warns about approaching the sectional speed measurement but it does not tell you or show the actual applicable speed limit which can be different on different roads and is not unified across the country.

STOP the voice on a fuel station
Please, include the possibility to AUTOMATIC STOP background voice, when stopping on a fuel station. There would be best to have no background voice on the toilet, during coffe drinking or talking to the staff. Thank you.

Keep Waze on top so navigation always visible
I’m sure Waze used to remain visible over other apps. Google suggests Settings -> General -> Display over other apps but option’s not there?
