2. Potential Mobile Speed Trap Location Alert

   There are many locations where Police Camera vans stay. These are often the same location, and often around bends so its too late once they see you. You should add to the map, just like with speed cameras, potential mobile speed trap. This would allow everyone to be alert at all times, then if the vans are there, Wazers can further report Police just as usual. This would prevent speeding earlier on rather than when someone finally reports the presence of police. For example, this could be done by adding a new icon e.g. a van symbol, with an audio alert saying 'potential mobile speed trap location ahead'. Locations can be reported by Wazers which can then be added or by looking at available data such as Police Scotland's mobile van location maps. I believe this would greatly improve the experience for all Wazers!

   Proposal: Adding a “Smart Location Clipboard” Feature to Waze on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

   Current Issue:
   When using Waze through CarPlay or Android Auto, drivers and map editors cannot directly save or share a location from the Waze interface.
   To save a location, the driver must:
   1. Disconnect the phone from CarPlay/Android Auto.
   2. Open Waze on the phone.
   3. Select “Share location.”
   4. Exit the app.
   5. Paste the location into Notes or another app and manually add details.

   This process is complicated, distracting for the driver, and in some cases, can cause accidents.

   Proposed Solution – “Smart Location Clipboard”:
   • Add a button or voice command within Waze on CarPlay/Android Auto to save the current location or any location shown on the map directly.
   • No need to disconnect the phone or leave Waze.
   • Saved locations are stored in a special “clipboard” inside Waze.
   • Ability to quickly assign a tag or category to the saved location (e.g., school, gas station, landmark, construction site, etc.) either:
   • By selecting from a quick list on the screen, or
   • By using a simple voice command such as:
   • “There is a school here”
   • “There is a gas station here”
   • “There is a landmark here”
   • Users and editors can later review, edit, and share these saved locations from the phone.

   Benefits:
   • Reduces driver distraction and increases road safety.
   • Simplifies the workflow for active map editors.
   • Speeds up the process of recording important points and notes while driving.
   • Encourages richer and more accurate map data through quick categorization and instant voice reporting.

5. Spoken Turn-by-turn Directions (Bug Report)

   First, I don't think you could possibly make it more difficult for a user to report a bug that needs attention.

   Now, on to the problem. I run Waze on an iPhone 5s. Since I upgraded to iOS 9.3, the spoken turn-by-turn directions have become clipped or truncated. Previously, Waze would say, "In a quarter of a mile, turn left ..." Now, Waze says, "In a qu, turn left." This truncation or omission occurs on all directions that anticipate a turn, i.e., "in 1000 feet" or "in 500 feet" is now completely omitted. This results in the driver being directed to turn prematurely. NOT GOOD!

   I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Waze on my iPhone. The problem remained. I am running Waze 4.4.0.0 on an iPhone 5s with iOS 9.3.1. I use a Bluetooth connection to my 2015 Honda CR-V. My sound settings are Play Sound to Phone Speaker (Off), Prefer Bluetooth (On), Mute Waze during calls (On), Voice language (English US Jane), App Volume (max).

   I hope you can direct me to a fix. Otherwise, I will become a former Waze user.

   In Malaysia, in the Malay language, the adjective comes after the noun.

   For example:

   "King Street" will literally become "Street King" in the Malay language.

   So, when we are looking at the map and instructions in Waze, the actual name of the road is hidden when it is truncated.

   For example

   Lebuhraya Persekutuan where "Lebuhraya" is "Highway" and "Persekutuan" is the "name", when we view in our phones, we can only see "Lebuhraya" plus maybe a bit of Persekutuan. Most of the times, the name does not appear at all. That is not very helpful.

   Please consider changing the arrangement to be Name-Description e.g.

   Persekutuan, Lebuhraya (instead of the official name Lebuhraya Persekutuan)
   Sultan Ismail, Jalan (instead of the official name Jalan Sultan Ismail)
   Parlimen, Jalan (instead of the official name Jalan Parlimen)
   MEX, Lebuhraya (instead of the official name Lebuhraya MEX)
   Mergastua, Persiaran (instead of the official name Persiaran Mergastua)

8. Waze For When: ¡Recordatorio de cosas a hacer para cuando pase cerca de ...!

   Os propongo una sugerencia… hasta me he permitido de ponerle nombre 😉

   Se trataría de poder sincronizar la agenda de Gcalendar con Waze. Pero no para el uso de la agenda normal que eso está desarrollado. Sino para cubrir una necesidades o acciones a hacer … pero que no son necesariamente planificadas con fecha y hora… sinó para justamente para aquellas acciones en las que ya haré cuando pase por …
   y precisamente como no son urgente ni prioritarias … nunca te acuerdas y nunca las haces.

   Me explico con ejemplos.

   Podrías crear un apunte en tu Gcalendar para Waze. De “avísame para devolver el libro a mi tía que vive en la dirección XXXX.” >> de tal forma que yo dejo el libro en el coche y un día que con Waze planifique una ruta cercana o que pase por la dirección de mi tía. ¡Que me avise!

   Así seria una ayuda a la persona como recordatorio y eficiente ya que me ahora tiempo y respetuosa con el medio ambiente al no hacer dos viajes.

   Pero igualmente tendría una aplicación comercial. Imagínate que te ha hablado de una cafetería perfecta para los desayunos. Tú te la apuntas y le pones la banda horaria (p.e. 08 a 10.00h) para que el dia que navegues con Waze por la zona te avise para disfrutar de ese desayuno soñado!

   Bueno! ¡Aquí queda mi idea! Me serviría porque, yo personalmente he llevado cosas en el coche para dejar de camino, cuando vaya a …. Y he llegado al destino sin acordarme montones de veces.

9. ALERTA PARA FAIXA DUPLA/TRIPLA NA BR -- ALERT FOR DOUBLE/TRIPLE BAND IN BR

   Gostaria de sugerir que o aplicativo informe no mapa quando o carro estiver próximo de uma faixa dupla/tripla na BR. Esta função pode evitar ultrapassagens desnecessárias na BR quando o usuário do aplicativo estiver viajando. Diversas vezes quando viajo, vejo motoristas desesperados para ultrapassarem caminhões, principalmente à noite. E em algumas destas vezes, poucos metros depois nos deparamos com a faixa dupla/tripla na estrada, o que torna a ultrapassagem desnecessária naquele momento. Dessa forma, fica a minha sugestão para inserir um aviso, do mesmo modo que ocorre com as sinalizações de radar nas estradas. Desde já, agradeço.

   I would suggest that the app informs you on the map when the car is close to a double/triple lane on the BR. This function can avoid unnecessary overtaking on the BR when the app user is traveling. Several times when I travel, I see drivers desperate to overtake trucks, especially at night. And in some of these times, a few meters later we come across the double/triple lane on the road, which makes overtaking unnecessary at that time. Thus, here is my suggestion to insert a warning, the same as with radar signs on roads. Thank you very much in advance.

10. Australian TTS voice Kylie is only available while I'm in Australia - why region-lock voices?

    We live in a world where people aren't restricted by country borders, and so it's always frustrating when you're faced with a feature or an app on your phone that's not available simply because of where in the world you might currently be.

    I'm Australian and have really embraced using Waze over Google Maps over the years. One of the reasons this has been so easy is because of Kylie, the TTS voice I have selected. However, when I go to another country Kylie suddenly stops being available and Waze sounds British or American with no option to change it back until I'm back at home. Compounded with the lack of an option for automatic switching of units based on location, it's a very jarring experience that forces me back to Google Maps every time.

    I drive overseas several times a year and having to make this switch between apps is very distracting, particularly since it's only discovered once you've started your route navigation. Please don't region-lock your TTS voices - these aren't the special or limited edition voices, it's one of your standard TTS voices that should be available to all. There are Australians living all around the world who I'm sure would also love for Waze to sound like them!

13. Radar audio warning trigger model

    I don't know if this is a new topic or not, but this is a problem that I've encountered wherein the normal Waze behavior is almost like a bug.

    How it works today
    The visual on screen warning for a Speed camera is based on distance only. I.e it will always show on-screen when the driver is X meters from the camera.
    However, the audio warning for a speed camera only activates if you pass the "detection distance" and are "over speed"

    Problem
    In this specific case, the radar is a 70 km/h radar. The detection distance however is when the driver is still in a 30 zone. Very few drivers will drive above 70 km/h there.
    Also, the Audio warning only triggers once. What I mean by this is that Waze will only trigger the audio warning when both of the following conditions are met simultaneously:

    if the driver enters the detection distance
    and is at over speed.
    

    This means that if the driver after passing the detection distance speeds up to a speed greater than the radar, he will still not receive an audio warning.

    How it should work
    The audio warning should trigger anytime:

    the driver is inside the detection zone
    and is over speed.
    

    The difference here is zone vs distance. The app should play an audio warning as soon as the driver's speed increases past the radar speed and is within the zone preceding the radar. It should also trigger again if the drivers slows down to a speed below the Radar and then back up again while in the zone.

    I don't know if this is a new topic or not, but this is a problem that I've encountered wherein the normal Waze behavior is almost like a bug.

16. Alertas

    Na parte de alertas ter a função de customização, dirigindo seguido é difícil de registrar algo pela quantidade de opções e classificação não intuitiva. Por exemplo na BR 101 antes de Terra de Areia, quem vem de Porto Alegre, há um túnel e o limite é 80 Km/h, não achei a opção e dentro do túnel perdi o sinal. Outra coisa que pode ter é colocar um alfinete onde a gente clicou no alerta e nele registrar depois o que foi, pois já é a terceira vez que passo ali e continua indicando, incorretamente, 100 Km/h

17. Colore icone per corsia opposta

    È possibile colorare magari in blu le stesse icone ma per la corsia opposta? Non sempre si ha tempo di decifrare icone così piccole e trovo l'interpretazione più immediata e sicura.

18. Avaliação de rotas

    A sugestão é disponibilizar uma opção para avaliar as rotas ou trechos. Algumas vezes peguei rotas com trechos inseguros e vias não pavimentadas, quando haveria a opção de fazer o trajeto pela rodovia com tempo similar.
    O principal objetivo é garantir rotas mais seguras e com vias de melhor qualidade sempre que possível.

19. LUGARES GUARDADOS no funciona

    Waze es fantástico.
    Es el gran invento del siglo.
    Pero hay una característica en su funcionamiento que lo hace muy malo e inútil en ciertos momentos en los que más lo necesitas….

    A diferencia de Google Maps en donde el usuario guarda un lugar, por ejemplo, para visitar al día siguiente, y permite hacerlo en carpetas personalizadas, Waze adolece de un grave defecto: el guardado de un lugar en “MIS LUGARES GUARDADOS” nunca funciona.

    Cuando el usuario busca un lugar y lo guarda en esta categoría “con el icono de la estrella” para ubicarlo con rapidez y facilidad, por ejemplo al día siguiente, se encuentra con la frustración de que éste no está allí.
    Este problema se presenta independientemente de si el usuario asignó o no un nombre personalizado a este lugar.

    El problema es además agigantado por el hecho de que lamentablemente Waze no permite organizar este listado de “favoritos” por orden alfabético o por fecha de creación (ésto sería extremadamente útil), de esta forma la búsqueda (que será infructuosa) lleva mucho tiempo cuando el usuario tiene una gran cantidad de viejos lugares guardados.
    Si. Dije eso…. “viejos lugares guardados”…. pero entonces…. Sí se pueden guardar….?
    La respuesta es incierta.
    Desconozco si quizás existe una demora entre el momento del guardado y la aparición en esa nuestra lista de favoritos, pero el hecho es que es muy frustrante cuando al día siguiente quieres volver a encontrar tu “lugar guardado” y éste no existe en tu lista.

    Este proceso de guardado de lugares “favoritos” es extremadamente importante para planificación de viajes y este mal funcionamiento desalienta el uso de esta aplicación.
    El proceso tampoco funciona intentando hacerlo de la otra forma posible, la cual es, ingresando a “Mi Waze”, “Lugares Guardados” y clickeando arriba en “Agregar un lugar”

    Pido por favor a Waze que solucione este problema a la brevedad posible.

20. Toll Roads - Variable Toll Avoidance

    Summary: An additional check box in navigation in settings, that turns off variable tolls only leaving the Tolls that don't change prices.

    I'm surrounded by Toll roads in DFW, but they have these awful Toll roads that change to be like 20$ on Friday's after work. basically taking advantage of busy times to squeeze money out of us. I don't mind using the toll roads that I know the price of, the ones' with fixed pricing. But these drive me up a wall, so I usually end up setting it to show tolls and then if I see the toll road is digital I'll skip entering it and travel along side it. The only issue is that sometimes by not entering it I'll miss the ability to turn in that direction, because even though the toll road continued straight I was supposed to take an exit a mile back.

    Plus, there have been multiple times where had I taken a different route I would've got there faster, but because it lumps all tolls together, I end up in a situation where I either take the toll road or add an extra 20 minutes I could have avoided by choosing another route. I'm starting to get to the point where I'll set tolls to off and then just ignore the directions and get on the fixed toll road whenever it comes up to re-calculate it... it's a flawed method but kinda all I got right now.

    Plus whenever I use waze it'll combine these fixed prices with the variable priced tolls and just give me no information on the toll amount of the ones I'm actually using. I.e. it does not calculate toll prices. But if my route only takes place on fixed roads it'll tell me how much exactly. So you must have some sort of system that splits the variable tolls and the fixed tolls already, I just ask that we be able to apply that to a search function or settings option.
