Portrait mode AA small text and sign icons
Having issues with AA on my portrait screen in my Silverado. In the upper left hand corner the text and road signs are almost impossible to read because they are so small.
On landscape mode displays Waze is fine. Also if I load Waze on the Radio and use WIFI it is alright. It is just when running Waze within AA.

Give weighted route options for safety
Add a routing preference called “Prefer Major Roads” or “More Predictable Route.”
The app frequently recommends rural two-lane roads, neighborhood streets or poorly serviced back roads to save less than one or two minutes. These theoretical savings are often erased by farm equipment, school buses, slow vehicles, no-passing zones, poor pavement, difficult intersections or temporary delays that the routing model cannot predict.
Please allow users to select a tolerance such as:
“Prefer divided highways and major roads when they add no more than 3, 5, 10 or 15 minutes.”
The route calculation could consider:
• Road classification and number of lanes
• Divided versus undivided roads
• Passing opportunities
• Historical speed variability
• Road surface and width
• Cellular coverage and nearby services
• Lighting and intersection complexity
• Known crash patterns, where reliable data is availableThis would be especially valuable for families, young drivers, older drivers, commercial travelers, recreational vehicles and drivers traveling through unfamiliar areas.
The goal is not necessarily the shortest or theoretically fastest route. It is the most predictable, comfortable and appropriate route within the user’s chosen time tolerance.

Speech Enhancement over Ducking needed (Disability friendly!) for Android Auto Waze - please do not duck or lower volume of ongoing music!
Hello. Waze unfortunately aggressively ducks any other audio, such as Spotify or the Radio (radio/sirius used to be left alone!), which is dangerous and affects people with disabilities or sensitivity to sound, such as people who have autism or are neurodivergent. The sudden change in volume that was otherwise constant is highly disturbing and can overwhelm our processing, which is the last thing you want to happen while driving!
Please be kind and put a setting options for Waze to leave any volume alone and NOT duck any background noise automatically and arbitrarily. A better option to have, if needed, is for the Waze navigation speech volume to INCREASE instead and TALK OVER the ongoing background noise, such as what would happen in real life when someone like a family members calls your name while you're engaged in an activity. This is far less intrusive and is safer.
Please consider this change. I don't know if this will get any visibility as it touches on disability, but please consider this user friendly enhancement. Thank you!

Multi Waypoint Route Planning
Provide multi waypoint route planning, allowing shaping points for tailoring routes, and a library to store routes.
This could be achieved online via Google Maps and synch to Waze app, perhaps under a Subscription model.
Supporting export in GPX format would be a nice value add in support of this too.1 vote -

Can you please add "Stray Animals" under caution icon? I travel through rural areas of South Africa and this will be very helpful.

Feature request: Please allow Waze links (deep links) to include multiple waypoints or a forced route. This would make it much easier to share routes that intentionally avoid city centers, low bridges, weight restrictions, or other obstacles. Many drivers with trailers, roof cargo, campers, or trucks need to follow a specific route rather than simply navigate to a destination. Being able to share a complete predefined route would greatly improve safety and usability.

Continuous alert for speedometer alert
A user should be able to select a single notification when exceeding the threshold or a continuous alert that is loud enough to cut through the noise of a car or even music settings. The current alert is woefully underwhelming and in most cases cannot be heard

Proposal: Integrating Gemini in Waze as a Proactive Safety and Peace-Enhancing Tool
Hello Waze Development and Innovation Team,
Following recent announcements regarding the expansion of Gemini's AI capabilities within Waze, I would like to submit a core concept aimed at saving lives, built on the fundamental premise that the ultimate goal of every journey is to return home safely.
This initiative proposes leveraging Gemini's natural language processing and continuous presence to serve as a vital safety factor. The core value of AI lies in its sustained, high-level performance, allowing it to actively compensate in real-time for temporary lapses in human performance (such as fatigue, stress, or distraction).
Through short, contextual, and proactive voice prompts, the system can gently refocus the driver during critical moments, functioning as an active safety net until autonomous driving fully mitigates human error.
I welcome the opportunity to share the concept summary with the relevant professional teams within your organization.
Sincerely,
Dudu Efrat.Hello Waze Development and Innovation Team,

Option to have the closest street address displayed constantly instead of just the street you're on
Lots of first responders use and rely on Waze for navigation. We always have to be aware of our exact address in order to accurately communicate our location to Dispatch. There should be a setting that, rather than just displaying the street you're currently on all the time, it always displays the closest address. I.E. instead of just saying "5100 East" as you're driving down the road, it should continuously update the house number: "2571 N 5100 E"

no residential area
Many drivers would rather stay on freeways and major arterial roads, even if the trip is a few minutes longer. Waze currently chooses the fastest route, which often sends drivers through quiet residential streets to save only 1 to 3 minutes.

Cadillac Lyriq
Australian-delivered right-hand drive Cadillac Lyriq MY25, Waze as an app via Android Auto / Google Play store.
Due to the enormous (like seriously huge) display in this car, the map is orientated too far to the right, so that much of the directional information and the speed displays are obscured by the steering wheel; it also makes the response buttons to acknowledge an incident or hazard almost too far away to reach to touch the furthest side of the screen.
Can you please review the appearance and either address the off-centre nature or address the more likely issue which is that it's essentially backwards, and should be made mirror image of the current layout?
Really appreciate it. Have used Waze for a long time via Apple CarPlay, this is the first experience of being able to have Waze as a standalone app on the car directly - and I love the concept, but just need some support to refine the user experience please. Função “no caminho”
Atualmente o app abre a lista de todos os burguer King da cidade e você enquanto dirige tem que procurar e decidir qual é mais perto, quando o que eu queria era só algo já na minha rota ou com pouco desvio

Customizable reporting shortcuts on the main screen
Waze should allow users to add two or three customizable reporting shortcuts to the main navigation screen.
For example, reporting a stopped vehicle currently requires several taps through different menus. While doing this, drivers must look at the screen instead of the road, which can be distracting and potentially dangerous.
Most users regularly use only a few of the available reporting options. Customizable one-tap shortcuts would make it possible to report common hazards much faster and return full attention to the road immediately.

Add a button using carplay
Add a “report via voice” button on the bottom right of the map. I’m in the UK so drive on the right. So to reach over and press report button, then the furthest button away is report via voice its not easy to do while driving. A one tap button on the bottom right would make this MUCH quicker. And get rid of the voice that speaks first.. I want to make my report quickly not wait with “thinking” on the screen, then for someone to speak to me before I can report. Report via voice is meant to be quicker but you have managed to make it a slow 2 button (furthest away from driver) process

Anti-Rubbernecking Alert: Active voice prompt to prevent "curiosity" traffic jams
The Problem:
One of the main causes of heavy traffic jams on highways is drivers slowing down to look at car accidents ("rubbernecking"), even when the accident is on the shoulder or a completely different lane and does not block the traffic flow. This behavior creates "phantom traffic jams" that waste millions of driving hours and increase the risk of secondary rear-end collisions. The Solution (Feature Request):
Develop a smart, location-based alert system that activates when the following conditions are met:Detection: Waze's algorithm detects a significant slowdown near a reported accident, but also recognizes (via user reports or historical data) that the lane itself is open.
Active Alert: About 2000 meters before reaching the point, the app will play a clear and proactive voice alert (instead of just showing an icon on the map).
📢 Suggested Voice Prompt:
"Traffic ahead is caused by drivers slowing down to look at an accident. Your lane is clear, and emergency services are already on site. Please maintain your speed and keep driving safely."Why this is effective:
Behavioral Shifting: Many drivers slow down subconsciously. A direct, explicit voice alert breaks this autopilot behavior, making them aware that they are contributing to the gridlock.
Improves Traffic Flow: Breaking the chain of slowdowns for even a small percentage of drivers will prevent the domino effect and clear the jam much faster.
Safety: Reducing sudden braking near accident scenes will significantly lower the risk of chain-reaction crashes.

Ford Sync 4 Integration
Please have a look at integrating Waze into the newer Ford Sync 4 systems.
Waze works amazing well on Carplay on my Ford Everest 2023. But it really lacks the on dash turn notifications that you get with Apple and Google Maps. I love using Waze but find that I turn to Apple or Google maps especially for inner city nav.
Please add the Sync 4 and Sync 4a in to your next release. I believe Ford have make the API available via their in-Vehicle APIs (Ford AppLink).
