Problem pushing directions bluetooth from android to car speakers
Waze has been my fav for a long time because it pushed spoken directions from all my iPhones to the car speakers via bluetooth. It seemed to do this by tricking my radio (Kenwood) into thinking a call was coming through. Pretty crafty. But since the latest iPhone update that messed up other things regarding bluetooth, Ive gotten an android phone. Now the waze app on android won't push spoken directions to the car speakers when the radio is set on (radio). It seems like a big safety issue since when in the car its hard to hear the little phone speaker and then I'm looking at the phone instead of the road. I'm hoping there's a fix coming soon or maybe there's something i'm not figuring out? insidentally,The interruption of the music momentarily during turn instructions is necessary and shouldn't be seen as agrevating.

Please add the destination address to the flag pin
Please add the destination address to the flag pin when you have reached your final destination. Thiswill help tremendously when you are going to a new address. Thanks!

Remove social networking features
Not sure whey Waze felt it necessary to add all of the social networking features (I'm speaking of facebook and twitter here, not the shared information about traffic speeds and road hazards). I am not a big fan of facebook and don't care to share information that way. Waze used to be a great navigation app. I urge you to return to your home base. Leave facebook to facebook.

Silent mode side of road
When sounds are turned off (or for the hearing impaired), there is no indication of which side of the road on which the destination lies on the screen.

Indicate both start and end of roadworks / traffic
For users that mark the beginning or roadworks / traffic, leave up an icon that they can press to indicate the end of the traffic. From this, work out how long it took me to get through the zone and pass on the info to other users.

Use accelerometer to detect and report on bumpy roads, and offer option to route around them
Use the device's accelerometer to detect bumpiness in the road the user is currently driving on. Send this data to Waze, then use collective data on road bumpiness to offer a routing option so that users can favor driving on smoother roads. Possibly also tie into the existing systems to report/show potholes or road hazards.

Add Bus stops.
We're already able to mark parking spots. I'd like to be able to mark where a bus stop is (maybe with route/bus names), be able to toggle it on/off the map and be able to search for it.

Disable face proximity sensor.
The face proximity sensor is enabled. Since I place my iPhone in the console of my vehicle, every time I move my hand down to perform an action, the display goes black. I have to gingerly reposition my hand before I can do anything.
I suggest disabling the face proximity sensor while in an operational mode. If necessary, you can enable it right before going to a phone call (if not speakerphone).

Custom Road Hazard tags
Allow for custom Road Hazard labels. The current selection is quite general, but it would be nice to have the ability to pre-create custom hazard tags for those times when adding a description isn't possible.

Update and cleanup UserVoice entries
Many UserVoice entries are pre-Client v3 and WME. Close and update current entries to reflect the current offerings.

My Rank and the scoreboard
I'm bummed that you only show the top 50 wazers on the scoreboard. I'm ranked 299 (kinkstone) currently and I want to see the spread of points above and below me.
Please add a pair of options at the top of the list (where you show all v. state and all times v. weekly) where I can choose between "top" or "around me". When showing the scoreboard around me, show the 50 wazers with me centered in the list.
That way I can see the movement and score distribution of people like me.

Show more navigation instructions when losing GPS signal
It would be nice if the client could show more than the next turn (on the screen) when driving by navigation and the GPS signal is lost.
The next turn is shown in green on the bottom left corner, and the 3 following driving instructions could show up in orange above this when GPS signal is lost.
If there is a speed cam between two of the next turns, is should also show up in this "navigation list".

Add intelligence to traffic jam detection
Often users parked will cause a false traffic jam to be reported, yet when stuck in traffic it is usual to be crawling or moving occasionally.
When Waze detects traffic conditions and pops up the question of whether you are in traffic please change the default response dependant on whether the vehicle has been moving or not. If it has been totally stationary please set default response to 'No' as in a total traffic jam the driver will most likely spot the dialogue, only use 'Yes' as the default action when there has been some movement which is much more likely to be traffic conditions.

School Zone Scheduler Improvements
The School Zone Schedule editing interface for both individual school zones and community schedules needs improvements. First and foremost, we should be able to import an ICS file, many school districts make them available to download/subscribe. This would drastically reduce the workload on map editors when it comes to updating the schedules each year, and if the right logic was applied, we could just subscribe the schedule in WME and the backend could look for student holidays, with editors able to verify those days.
The above would drastically reduce the need the need for the next part, which is the calendar picker. If I choose a start date in December, the end date should display December, and not the current month. Doing a range on a single calendar vs two calendar pickers would be ideal. Also having logic that looks at the previous date picked when adding a new date and starting in the same month would eliminate the need to click a bunch of times or type in the dates.

Ability to Report “Automated License Plate Reader” Cameras (ALPR Cameras/Flock Cameras)
I’m writing as a Waze user with a feature suggestion that I believe fits naturally with what has made Waze such a valuable navigation platform… giving drivers useful, community-sourced information about the roads they travel.
I would like to ask Waze to consider adding the ability for users to report fixed automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras, including systems commonly known as Flock cameras.
Waze already empowers its community to share information about police presence, red-light cameras, speed cameras, crashes, hazards, construction, and other conditions that may be relevant to drivers. As automated surveillance technology becomes increasingly common along public roadways, I believe drivers should similarly have the ability to know when they are passing infrastructure specifically designed to identify and record vehicle movements.
For me, this is ultimately an issue of transparency and informed choice.
Whatever someone’s personal opinion of ALPR technology may be, these systems can collect information about ordinary people simply as they travel through their communities. Many drivers may not recognize the cameras, understand what they do, or even realize that their vehicle information is being collected. A small, neutral icon within Waze identifying a known ALPR location would give users information without telling them what to think about it.
There is also an important distinction between providing transparency and facilitating wrongdoing. Waze already demonstrates that potentially sensitive roadway information can be presented responsibly. An ALPR reporting feature could be designed around fixed, publicly visible infrastructure and could simply inform users that an automated license plate reader has been reported at that location.
I believe such a feature would reinforce one of the principles that makes Waze unique: the road is experienced by a community, and members of that community should be able to help one another understand the environment through which they are traveling.
Technology will continue to change the relationship between public spaces, transportation, privacy, and surveillance. Navigation platforms have an opportunity to ensure that increased technological capability is accompanied by increased public awareness.
I hope Waze will seriously consider allowing the community to report ALPR cameras as part of its existing reporting ecosystem. Even if implementation requires careful consideration, I believe the conversation itself is worthwhile.
Thank you for taking the time to consider the suggestion and for continuing to build a navigation platform shaped by the people who actually use the roads.

Apple Carplay HUD Integration Idrive 7
I am writing to formally request the implementation of Head-Up Display (HUD) turn-by-turn navigation support for the Waze iOS app via Apple CarPlay.
I currently drive a 2019 BMW 320d (G20) running iDrive 7. While Apple Maps seamlessly pushes navigation data, street names, and directional arrows directly to my windshield's HUD, Waze remains completely incompatible with this safety feature on iOS.
I am aware that Apple's CarPlay framework has included the necessary APIs for secondary displays for quite some time, and I know that Waze via Android Auto already projects to the HUD on iDrive 7. Furthermore, while the recent version 5.4 update brought instrument cluster support to newer iDrive 8 vehicles, it entirely bypassed both HUD integration and widespread systems like iDrive 7.
Having navigation prompts on the HUD is a critical safety feature that keeps drivers' eyes on the road. Currently, I am forced to run Apple Maps for the HUD visuals while keeping Waze running in the background for hazard alerts.
Please escalate this to your iOS development and product management teams. The BMW community relies heavily on Waze, and closing this feature gap between Android Auto and Apple CarPlay would vastly improve the driving experience.
