Add Bus stops.
We're already able to mark parking spots. I'd like to be able to mark where a bus stop is (maybe with route/bus names), be able to toggle it on/off the map and be able to search for it.

Partnership with blablacar?
Why not propose to blablacar users to program their trip and send it to waze account (and all planned stops), then the blablacar users can share their trip to their friends, they will be able to follow their trip through facebook (with the existing function).

Wazer message notifications (i.e. private messages) need to be more visible to be effective
In the Past few days I've "private messaged" wazers who were ahead of me on a route to find out about traffic conditions or a slow downs. These messages went unanswered. I didn't think anything of it at the time. This morning on the way into work I just happened to go to "My Waze" to view my ranking... and saw that I had a Private Message from another wazer- from 10 days ago - and never knew it. The message was basically the same as what mine had been. -- I told you all that to tell you this: If we're going to have the private message option at all, we need to know when we get them. A pop up icon message notification at the bottom of the app would be perfect, or if the Menu icon in the lower left corner of the map had a "flag" on it of some sort when we receive a private message to let us know. What ever notification currently exists- isn't working

Google as search engine
Please set google as the default search engine as they have much greater database. That way, we can utilize Waze as our primary map on our iPhones (thanks to Apple map). Thanks :)

Hi wazers around the world! ok this is my idea: 1-on my waze/my car it needs the design of a bycicle (most of wazers use a bycicle) the design oggi a disable car, the design of a person 2- bycicle and bike mode abd pedestrian mode3- record our ways like AUTOGUARD 4- find others wazers like LATITUDE OF GOOGLE. 5-sync. With Facebook in order to find the friends 6- show meteo and animated meteo on 3d map 7-the real time display on map 8-show gas station,bar,ristorant,ATM like google along the way..8- private chit chat with a friend 9- car mode to use without the hands 10- others humors like AT HOME, AT BAR, ON THE BEACH, WITH MY FRIEND ETC...I hope you think about those things to include on the next update.thannks!!!

Fade music on alerts/notifications/Turn-by-Turn
It would be really nice if Waze faded music during audio events (not pause.. pause is a little bit jerky and makes you lose the music beat)
I use my phone (Android) as a Media Center on my car, it controls the audio and video on it. I play music using it (outstanding equalizer settings and audio effects), and the fade function is really necessary so I don't keep distracting looking for corners on GPS.
Also, on my own opinion, fading looks real classy and professional.Original Google Maps' software does that fading, but I don't want to go back using it. Waze is amazing!

How about annoucing police or traffic jams by voice instead of pop ups.
Announcing in the voice warning police in area or traffic ahead in x miles.

Use a system similar to Evernote to access Calendar information. If Location exists and it is shown in the Address Book, ask to nav there.
Use the calendar to chose next location to navigate to semi automatically.

User selected audio announcements

Show more navigation instructions when losing GPS signal
It would be nice if the client could show more than the next turn (on the screen) when driving by navigation and the GPS signal is lost.
The next turn is shown in green on the bottom left corner, and the 3 following driving instructions could show up in orange above this when GPS signal is lost.
If there is a speed cam between two of the next turns, is should also show up in this "navigation list".

Better iPad interface.
The iPad interface is a bit cumbersome to use while driving. I find many of the buttons are too small. I have my iPad docked in a RAM mount next to the stick shift, so its right next to my shift hand.
Different screens appear in different sizes (like the event selection screen is cut in half when reporting a hazard or similar).
Also, display of speed and similar information in the lower right should be larger, much like the turn-by-turn directions in the lower left.
I would also appreciate any prompt buttons to be larger. If the buttons could be twice the size, that would be great. I find the road/shoulder/weather buttons are the perfect size to tap with one hand while driving, and keeping your eyes on the road.The iPad interface is a bit cumbersome to use while driving. For reports and chit-chat. How many symbols can be typed in one message or alert ?
Add the counter of characters left in chit-chat or in reports. As it done in twitter. To be shure the wazers will see your uncutted, full message

Information about tire pressure gauges
In the WME, add the gas station information layer indicating if it has a tire inflator.
In the app, make it clear in the gas station information that it has a tire inflator.

traffic lights and stop signs
I request this idea a lot but it seems like no one listens and Waze team completely ignores it. We need stop signs and traffic lights on the map. All navigations in the market already has it expect only Waze, I don't know why they don't want do it or difficult to them to do it! I can't understand, these things its really very important for the drivers.

Allow "Map Problem" UR reporting using the 'Talk to report' feature to assist user to leave a UR while driving.
Currently the 'Talk to report' feature allows for reporting road hazards but does not allow for reporting 'Map Problems' such as 'incorrect speed limit' or 'no u-turn allowed.'
As a volunteer map editor, if I could tap the report button and say, "Drop UR here for ... " to open a UR with the UR type listed as 'Voice report' and the UR comment pre-filled with the voice to text input from the report, then I would be able to fix 90% more of the map problems that I notice while driving every day.10 votes -

Option to Disable Auto-Rerouting After Route Is Set

I’d like to suggest a feature that allows users to disable automatic rerouting after setting a route.
As a driver, it’s not always possible (or safe) to constantly check the device to notice when Waze changes the route and tap “No thanks” in time to stay on the original path.There are countries where you must follow a specific route due to legal or financial reasons — for example, vignette zones, road restrictions, or toll obligations. When Waze changes the route automatically, it can cause problems such as fines, invalid route logs, or entering roads not suitable for the vehicle.
It would be extremely useful to have a setting like:
“Lock this route — do not suggest or apply alternatives automatically.”Thank you in advance!

Add support for Eircodes (Ireland's Postal Code system)
Irish Eircode support is required in Waze. Unlilke a lot of postcode systems, Irish Eircodes are unique codes that match to an exact building/address. https://www.eircode.ie/benefits/overview
I am constantly getting issues reported by users of the below:
Search for an address by its house number, you get correctly routed to the correct road as we have added house numbers.
Search for the eircode, Waze pulls the coordinates from Google and routes to the nearest segment, so many times, this is the incorrect road, a lot of the time it routes users to roads behind the address beause I assume it's technically closer to the coordinates Google provided for the eircode.
We need someway, as editors, to be able to link eircodes to segments, similar to house numbers so that Waze can know to route to the same segment the house number is linked to.
For further clarification, there seems to be confusion around Irish Eircodes. Let me lay out how important they are. If I need to give someone my address, I give them my Eircode, not my address. The Eircode will bring them right to my address. So when people are using Eircodes and they are routing to incorrect roads, and different roads to the address, it's a major issue for the reliability of Waze. How can you trust Waze to bring you to the correct location if it depends on knowing that Eircodes could bring you to the wrong place.
