Live Municipality Display & "Now Entering" Border Alerts
Add a small, dynamic UI element (at the top or bottom of the map) that constantly displays the name of the current city or municipality the driver is in.
How it works:
When a driver crosses a municipal border, the app triggers a subtle chime and a brief notification: "Welcome to [City Name]".Why it’s a game-changer:
Driver Awareness: Prevents drivers from accidentally wandering into unintended or unfamiliar cities.
Situational Context: It’s simply helpful and engaging to always know exactly whose municipal jurisdiction you are driving through.
Safety & Enforcement: Highly beneficial for law enforcement, emergency services, and reporting incidents,…

What do you think of creating icons for speeding cars?
There should be like four icons showing their directions such as North, South, East and West. This can inform all Waze users of speeding and reckless drivers that can endanger other drivers.

Display real-time average speed inside average speed camera zones (section controls)
Description:Currently, Waze alerts drivers when entering an average speed check zone and displays the speed limit. However, it does not show the driver's actual average speed since the beginning of the controlled section.
Proposed Solution:When inside an average speed camera zone, Waze should display a dynamic indicator showing the user's current average speed for that specific section.
Benefits:
-Enhanced Safety: Prevents sudden braking and promotes a smoother driving flow.
-Peace of Mind: Helps drivers maintain the legal limit without doing mental math.
-Competitive Edge: Aligns Waze with features already available on other navigation apps.1 vote -
Add warning for common speed trap area
Similar to the warning given in areas where there is a density of car crashes, the app should provide a warning when users enter an area where there is a historical high density of speed traps reported regardless of whether there is an active police warning or not.

Ability to report and re-route around Flock and other traffic monitoring devices
Given the increase in all kinds of monitoring devices(mobile and fixed) - both end users and map editors need a way to add them all and have the ability to voluntarily route around them as much as possible, even if this is not the fastest or most efficient route (it should be an option).

Show when a driven editable area will expire
When you gain an editing area by driving, WME never tells you when it will be taken away. The only way to know is to remember the date of every trip you made, which is not realistic. In practice editors discover the loss after the fact, sometimes in the middle of handling a UR that can then no longer be closed.
The information already exists on Waze's side: those areas are derived from dated drives, and WME already shows that drive history to the editor in "My drives". What is missing is simply surfacing the resulting date.
What would help,…

Sync contribution points form all google services
I think waze app, waze map editor and google should merge all points and recalculate accounts levels. For example im contributing actively in waze driving app some time and in google maps pretty good time. And now when i started to edit in waze edit map, i cant even update/add speed bump in my city because of lack of levels/points... I mean, i understand that new users should get to know the platform, but we are not new, its not logically to me this.

Semafor temporar

Allow more than one “Add a stop”
On long trips I often need to stop more than once, but Waze doesn’t allow this.

Avoid toll roads
I have “avoid toll roads” enabled but Waze still includes them. It’d be great if I could “drag” my route and save it as my preferred route.

Invisible RTC's and visible TBR's
Add the ability to control the visibility of TBR and RTC in the client (and define it in WME).
They say they often use the wrong type, just to match the required visibility.1 vote -
Allow users to keep hands on the keyboard until done typing
As a general principal of design, please allow the user to keep both hands on the keyboard until done typing information
Examples of desired behavior:
Places - After entering address, use the return/ enter key to activate the "apply" button. Or else automatically apply address changes when tab is used to advance to another field. (Currently, we have to move hand to mouse, click apply, find correct place on keyboard, and then use tab to advance to name field and resume typing)Closures - After entering description, use the tab key to advance to "direction" (Currently, this does not work).…

About adding a river in the waze editor
About adding a river in the waze editor
It takes a very long time to add a river
I think it would be easier if you could write a river as easily as you would write a road.
1 voteThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

referring hazards such as potholes, raise these for map editors to transfer to local authorities escalation portal
when reporting in the uk hazards such as potholes, raise these for map editors to transfer to local authorities escalation portal. most county councils have online portals that could have the information shared ( gps; number of sightings; frequency of travel ) with co-ordinates ( maybe even what3words ) to formally report.
