Add selectable traffic light icon options & updated TTS for flashing signals
In order to be more hyperlocal, please add selectable traffic light icon options to WME that would then display in the app at intersections where flashing yellow (warning) lights are erected or those that have flashing red lights (stop). In some areas, red flashing lights exist and do indicate it's a stop but from a TTS and visual perspective, "Turn left|right at the flashing light" is much more hyperlocal than turn at the stop sign, when a stop sign might not actually exist there.
An example of said light: https://beta.waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=31.77078&lon=-94.19763&marker=true&zoomLevel=19

Add type "Boom Barrier" to permanent hazard
https://i.imgur.com/T05sm8V.png
In my country (but I think everywhere) there are a lot of barriers which are placed in different areas like PLR, restricted areas, private areas, .. This barriers are opened for locals or by different type of card/transmitters. It's very convenient when user or taxi driver see this permanent hazard on his road. I think it's not difficult to add this type to current PH structure.
In my country there ate not "toll booth"-es and we use this type (they are the same on the picture) but it's not convenient for people who use another TTS and language in…238 votes -
Add option to make restrictions visible similar to closures
This goes together with a suggestion on the APP side to add an option to display some restricted segments.
Since there is no easy way to add closures based on a schedule, there are times it would be nice to have restrictions that can be scheduled show in the app similar to a closure. That way someone driving without a route will have the visual cue like a closure.

WME Client simulator
With each additional functionality on WME (Paths / Far-Lanes / Jubra / Junction box / lanes / ....) gets increasingly difficult to map. This makes it more likely that us map editores will make some kind of mistake or don’t take something into consideration. Having a way to preview the changes before they are live on the map will made both editors and client less frustrated, with a more accurate map.

School Zone excluded segment ID option
Currently, we can exclude based on road types, which in most cases is sufficient. However, there are times that we may need to exclude a segment that is the same road type in the school zone because of cross traffic.
For example, in the image below, the school zone is on a mH. I can exclude the FWY with no concerns, but the 2 yellow arrows point out some mH segments that I can't currently exclude. The issue is that if I am driving either of those routes, I will get a School Zone alert, and eventually a reduced SL,…

Improve House Numbers Editing Interface Clarity
Since the version 2.272, the HN interface has become visually overloaded mainly on cross roads. In the previous version, entering house numbers mode would visually isolate the numbers belonging only to the selected street. This behavior was much more intuitive and provided a cleaner, distraction-free environment for editing.
We suggest restoring this functionality - either by default or as an optional toggle - so that only the house numbers from the selected street are shown during editing. This change would significantly improve clarity, reduce errors, and enhance the overall editing experience.
Thank you for your consideration.

Feature Proposal: Visual Markers for Start and End of Average Speed Zones
Dear Waze Team,
We are writing to you on behalf of the community of volunteer map editors and Waze app users in the Czech Republic. We would like to propose a new feature that, in our opinion, would significantly refine and clarify the display of average speed camera zones on the map.
Currently, we lack an effective way to visually mark the precise start and end points of an average speed zone on the map. We therefore propose two possible solutions:
- A New Icon with No Sound Alert: We propose the introduction of a new, non-audible icon that editors could…

Ensure that permanent hazards and cameras are selected before they can be relocated
As shown in the above video, it's far too easy for a PH or camera to be moved accidentally when panning around the map. Hit a PH while panning, and it can be moved half way across the screen.
Please make it so they have to be selected before they're above to be relocated, just like other map elements.

Add new layer with Road Signs (generated from Street View)
Use AI models to identify Road Signs from existing Street View images, and surface them in WME as a new layer.
Road sign examples:
- Speed limits
- Stop/Give way
- No entry
- Prohibited turns
- Sharp bends
- Lanes mergingIdeally this new layer should come with sub-layers and allow editors to show/hide on demand (similar to how Hazards currently appear in WME). Sub-layers could be groups - for example:
- Warnings
- Speed limits
- Orders

Filter GPS tracks by vehicle type: private, taxi, motorcycle
The GPS layer should have checkmarks where we could choose the vehicle type of the GPS tracks we want to see.
This would be great for determining what type of vehicle is using a particular road, which in turn would be useful for deciding what road restrictions a road should have.85 votes -
Different speed limits for School zone Polygon depending on Entry Point
When creating School zones, i encounter the weird situation where the same segment has 2 different speeds, for example: when you go Southbound is 25mph school zone and for the same street but going Northbound the speeed is 15mph. in this case we will use the lowest speed but this wont be accurate, as the alert is telling users that the School zone is 15mph, mean while they going Southbound where the School sign shows 25mph, so this would create URs, complaining about the proper speed for the Soutbound lane, and this is what this suggestions is intended for so…

Selection of the period of GPS history
As the editor, I would like to have an impact on the length of the GPS track history.
Sometimes you need a short history to catch events, and sometimes as long as possible to check the traffic density or the correctness of the road.

Avoid specific street or area
Add the option in the settings to avoid specific areas, the functionality already exist as you already have the features of avoiding toll roads, dangerous zones, and complex intersections, so just add the functionality to avoid custom areas, for example a specific street or city i dont want to pass through

Partners polygon layer
Hello,
Thanks to the Waze for Cities program, we are happy to have more and more partners, either for road management (Connected Citizens) or for event management (Global Event Partners).
For those who do not know the details, you should know that a partner benefits from one or more polygons that characterize their rights area (data flows to or from Waze, closures, MTE).
The community being very involved, and always on the lookout for modifications to be made in WME, or closures to be programmed, it often happens that our closures or our editions conflict with their closures.
It is…48 votes -
MTE Temporary parking lots
Very often during large events, temporary parking lots are created for the duration of the event, it would be very useful to be able to create in the WME these parking lots only for the duration of the event.
It is not possible to do this now because we have to wait for the map update.33 votes -
Incorporate the Top "X" scripts into native WME
Given the recent injection of malicious code into scripts used by the majority of experienced editors
https://www.waze.com/discuss/t/urgent-two-scripts-were-compromised-on-feb-1-please-read-if-you-use-scripts/365499
I strongly urge Waze relook at the Top "X" scripts that were identified several years ago and incorporate them into native WME.These scripts serve several functions
1) Increase navigation precision: JAI (mentioned above) is absolutely needed for experienced editors to determine the angles and thus, the turn announcements when one moves from one segment to the next
2) Speed up editor time: ColorSpeed (also mentioned above) and others, like LaneTools or Road Shield Assistant, provide a quick visual on the overall WME…95 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Flag Waze segments for addition to Google Maps
If an editor adds roads to Waze and sees they aren't in Google Maps, we have to add them using the Google Maps interface. This does not include access to additional imagery which can make it easier to make the updates.
With the increased data exchange between Waze and Google, it makes sense to have a button to flag sections of the Waze map for incorporation of high priority changes rather than having to map the area twice.

ICON Change on RTC for Turns
Currently when you select a segment with an RTC on a turn arrow, you just see the white fence/barricade icon that you see on the node. You then have to hover over the turn arrow, then click on Turn Closures and go to the window that popped up to see if these are active or finished.
I would like to see the icon changed to the the Red Closed symbol when active, like we see on segments when they are actively closed, and then the grey circle we see when they are finished. It would help tremendously in deciding if…

Additional Imagery requests feedback
With the great feature of Additional Imagery, we can make requests for updates using "The Button".
If the imagery update meets our needs, we should be able to confirm that it did (like a thumbs up for alerts in the app).
If we get an alert that imagery has been updated, but the imagery is not sufficient (not new enough, clouded over, etc), we have to submit a new request. Instead of submitting a new request, there should be an option to reopen the original request to get newer/clearer imagery.
As is, there is no easy way to provide feedback…

House number change history
When selecting a house number the interface no longer shows who last modified the house number. History on the segment doesn't always show what was change (it might show added or deleted, but not moved or edited). Segment history needs to have more detail on what was done.
