1. Possibility for editors to create map update requests, for changes that need higher level editors.

   Many times I can see needed changes or map problems that are prohibited for my level to edit or fix. But there is no option to report these issues to the higher levels, inside the map editor.
   Should I have to drive there and create a map issue report?

2. Excluding Specific Road Types in Polygons Based Events

   I would like to propose an improvement to the "Polygons Based Events" by adding an option to exclude certain types of roads, similar to the school zone alerts.

   In my case, I want to set up a PBE for major roadworks, but a highway crosses at a lower level and will be notified of this event even though it is not affected.

3. Cambiar icono en modo moto

   In Car mode, you can change the icon to another one. But in MOTORCYCLE mode, this is not possible and a very thin motorcycle (2D) appears that blends in with the road and is difficult to see easily when riding a motorcycle.
   You should be able to change to a more visible one, such as the arrow or triangle that stands out more. This way, you will avoid taking your eyes off the road more than necessary.

4. Automatically add street when adding a point location

   As a waze level 2 editor, when adding a residential place, I'd like for the street to be automatically pre-filled with the closest segment in the map.

   I have been adding a lot of residential places in my zone and I have to copy the street name and paste in each place I add. This process would be more expedite if street name is filled with the closest segment on the map and would avoid errors of places in streets different than the one they are put into.

5. Validation workflow & access to all functions

   Hello,

   I'm a current level 3 Area Manager and every day I have to deal with bottlenecks because I don't have the necessary level to make changes.
   So I have to find a L4 or L5 to do it, explain it to them and get the result.
   This is very time-consuming and somewhat archaic these days.

   I'd like to suggest the following:
   Be able to give all editors access to all functions or perhaps from L2 or L3 if we want there to be a minimum of editing experience. As well as adding a validation workflow for functions that currently require a higher level.

   In my case, this would allow me to make all the changes and, if some of them require a higher level, to submit a validation request to the higher levels.
   It's smoother and simpler.

   For example, I want to add lanes or speed bumps, but today I can't. With this change, I'll be able to add them and submit them, and an L4 or L5 will then have to validate or reject my edit (this system is in place for certain modifications, so why not extend it more widely?)

6. Lane guidance: Make "View Only" and "View and Hear" behaviors consistent for "continue straight" lanes

   In WME we have two options if we want to force "continue" lane guidance to be surfaced to the user - view only, and view and hear (or more recently, with and without audible instructions).

   Aside from the obvious difference in whether or not an audible instruction is issued to "use the Left 3 lanes to continue straight ..." or only a visual instruction, there's another more subtle behavior change that is not always welcome - namely, if you use the "View and Hear" option, it is additionally treated as a "Continue" TIO (turn instruction override). This means that, if View and Hear is chosen, when you are many miles away from the junction in question the "next turn" in the navigation list will be at the point of this junction, rather than the next actual turn, whereas if you choose "view only", you'll get visual LG about a half mile from the junction but otherwise the "next turn" will be where you'd expect it to be, at the next actual turn maneuver or exit you need to take.

   It is my opinion that these two behaviors should be decoupled - we have access to the Continue TIO if we want/need it for a particular junction, duplicating that functionality on the lane guidance is unexpected behavior and should be changed to simply announce the LG at the same location that view only would show it, without silently also duplicating the "continue" TIO behavior which may or may not be desired at a particular junction.

7. Better support for Rural map editors

   I live in a VERY rural area. Quite often, I'll be driving but not get EA credit because I didn't have cell service. I can literally drive for 50+mi without any cell coverage. I drove 530 miles two days ago and maybe got credit for half of it.

   I'd like it if map editors would have the ability to turn on some sort of feature in the app that saves their location history until cell service is restored. Also, as I have seen others suggest, a larger EA radius from a given drive would be very helpful out here as I cannot possibly drive every back road around here...

10. When using CarPlay i want using waze on Phone not on CarPlay

    When using CarPlay map don't work on Phone, when off on CarPlay waze, not show me map on phone. I want switch map between CarPlay <> Phone. When i Driving on Taxi and check roud better working on Phone, i can faster zoom in, zoom out on phone and change roud, or check alternative street. When i using Uber on Car Play i want using waze on phone.

11. Streamlining changes for adding house numbers

    I'd like to suggest two related changes regarding the addition of house numbers. These are small changes, but in UI design, frictions like this can add up when one is performing the same action over and over.

    1. Always keep the text field active when selecting a house number point

    After clicking to add a house number, the text field to enter the number is automatically active and can be typed in (which is great!) But, when clicking and dragging either the house number itself or the entry point, the cursor goes away, and one has to click the number field again to be able to enter a house number. Even worse, dragging the entry point along the road doesn't work at all, as it deselects the entire house number! To move the entry point, you have to deselect the house number by clicking outside of it, then click on it to reselect it, then click and drag on the entry point.

    The solution to this is to make the text field stay active when the house number is selected, even when dragging either of the points (or have the cursor dissapear momentarily but come back when you release the drag). One should also be able to drag the entry point without it deselecting the house number. That way, the user can perform any of the three actions (moving the house number point, moving the entry point, and editing the number itself) in any order, even more than once, without having to move their mouse around like a maniac.

    As a person with clumsy fingers that uses WME on a laptop, I would say about 30% of my time doing house numbers is spent fixing typos or misclicks. The change seems small, but if you're doing hundreds of house numbers on the same street and having to click three or four times per house number, it gets frustrating very quickly.

    1. When the entry point has been moved already, lock it in place when moving the house number point

    When doing house numbers, I place the point, input the number, and then move the entry point to the correct location. Sometimes, though, I will realize that the house number is misaligned after I do this, and move it to the correct position. The problem is, this resets the position of the entry point, because as the house number moves, the entry point is set to the nearest point on the road.

    I would propose that, if the user has already moved the entry point along the road for a given house number, it should assume it is at the correct location. So, if I go to move the house number itself, the entry point should stay where it is. If the entry point is not moved, however, it should behave as it does now, because it is nice to be able to drag along a house number and have its entry point come with it if I misclicked the location.

13. Please add Japanese "Stop" signs and pedestrian crossings

    In Japan, pedestrians are required to stop at places where there are stop signs and at crosswalks where there are pedestrians about to cross. In addition, pedestrians are required to slow down when crossing a crosswalk where it is unclear whether there are pedestrians about to cross. Violating these rules will result in police crackdowns and penalties such as fines being imposed on drivers. Currently, there are also "stop" cameras installed, but I understand that these are intended to draw attention to crackdown points. Instead, I would like to see signs and indications that there are crosswalks.

15. Select and edit multiple RPPs

    When you have a street name changed, HN numbers don't need to be modified.
    When you have a street with many RPP, you have to change the street name in each RPP, one by one.
    This is also the argument of some publishers who do not want to use residential

    It should be interesting to be able to select many RPP of the same street (with the control key for exemple or an option on the segment) to be able to change the street name in one time and in each RPP.

16. Update links in WME footer - "Get help" and "Editing forum"

    In the footer of WME are two links: "Get help" and "Editing forum", which are out of date.

    • Get help - Redirects to Waze Discuss home page instead of Wazeopedia content on Waze Discuss

    • Editing forum - The link works currently, but it uses the old phpbb forum link instead of Waze Discuss. Update from http://www.waze.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=8 to https://www.waze.com/discuss/c/editors/waze-map-editors-topics/4930

    Low priority fix, I only post this to make my OCD happy.

17. Allowing a way to requalify a part of a road to pedestrian and pedestrian to road..

    A road was re-qualified as pedestrian, but a part of it is still drivable for local.
    I was able do split the road in two parts.
    But I had to add a new road path for vehicles.
    And alter the pedestrian path elsewhere (where there is a pedestrian path) in the same area.

    The idea is to split a road or a pedestrian path in two or more and be able to switch from one to the other on a part of the path.

    I would like to make a proposal regarding Waze’s voice navigation feature.

    Currently, users primarily rely on the standard voice options provided by Waze.
    Although some users can already create and share custom voices on a limited basis, I believe Waze should take this concept further by introducing a fully supported system where individual creators can produce, upload, and sell their own navigation voices within the app.

    This idea provides significant benefits for Waze, creators, and users alike.

    ■ Reasons for the Proposal

    Creators with strong voice talent can monetize their work
    Aspiring voice actors, streamers, and influencers could sell their own navigation voices, creating a new income opportunity.

    Waze can earn revenue as well
    The more fans purchase a creator’s voice pack, the more revenue Waze can earn through a commission model.
    This creates a sustainable business model that benefits both Waze and the creators.

    Users gain a wider variety of voice options
    In addition to official voices, users could choose from unique voices, dialects, character-style voices, and more—making Waze a more enjoyable navigation experience.

    A simple upload-and-sell system encourages participation
    If creators can upload recorded voice lines, pass a basic quality check, and immediately start selling, many users will be motivated to contribute.

    Building on the existing ability to share custom voices
    Since it is already possible for some users to create and share custom voices on a small scale, expanding this into an official, accessible marketplace would greatly increase participation and value.

    I strongly believe this system would enhance the appeal of Waze and create a model where

19. Suggestion: Expand “School Zones” into a Broader “Sensitive Areas” System

    Waze already has a great and effective feature: School Zones.

    Instead of creating new isolated features, I’d like to suggest expanding this existing model into a broader category called “Sensitive Areas.”

    The idea is to reuse the same zone logic (visual boundary + contextual alert) and apply it to other high-attention environments.

    Possible New Zone Types:

    • Hospital Areas

    Frequent ambulance traffic

    High pedestrian flow

    Need for increased driver awareness

    Example alert:

    “You are entering a hospital area.”

    • Flood-Prone Areas

    Roads with recurring flooding history

    Could trigger alerts during heavy rain

    Prevent vehicle damage and improve routing trust

    Example alert:

    “This area has a history of flooding during heavy rain.”

    • Recurring Construction Areas

    Long-term infrastructure projects

    Frequently altered traffic patterns

    Why this makes sense:

    The technical model already exists (School Zones).

    Driver behavior is already validated.

    It improves safety without cluttering the interface.

    It strengthens Waze’s predictive safety capabilities.

    Governance could follow the same structure:

    Lower-level editors suggest

    Higher-level editors validate

    This would scale an already successful feature into a more structured safety system.

    Would love to hear the community’s thoughts on this.

20. First-Time WME Login Tour / Tutorial

    Create a tour/tutorial screen that pops up when a user logs in to the editor for the first time. The screen would be greyed out except for highlighted areas, where a chat bubble would explain what that button/area in the editor is for. It would also provide the means to have the editor engage the community through the forum or Wazeopedia.

    For example:
    - "This is the layers button. You can turn on extra layers to see roads, places, comments from other editors, etc."
    - "This area contains a feed of map content, your recent drives and editable area, and your Waze map editor settings"
    - "This icon can create a permalink that links directly to selected objects in the editor. Click the icon to open the link on your screen or copy it with Ctrl-C"
    - (Pointing at the bottom left of the screen) "This area contains links to the Waze Forums and Wiki, where you can find editing help and connect with other editors in the Waze Community"
