Speed bumps, buffers & Tollbooths notification.
English: I would like you to add a section to notify the existence of speed bumps or buffers. In Latin America there are many streets, avenues and federal highways that have bumps and at night it is very dangerous because they cannot be seen. This would be a novelty because no gps system has a way to warn you. As well as you could put a notification point where it tells you how many tollbooths you must pass, the location and the costs specifically on the road.
Spanish: Me gustaria que agregaran un apartado para poder notificar la existencia de…

Option to select all segments in a closure at once
It happens that a road closure has to be adjusted (end time changed) or removed. It would be very useful if you could select all segments that belong to a road closure directly at once, eg based on start / end time, description, MTE.
(this can be especially useful for large scale works, closures with many small segments, or if you have to work in WME frequently on a mobile device)13 votes -
Record node RTCs in the edit history
Segment RTCs are recorded in the segment edit history, allowing editors to easily check along a route to see if a now-expired closure may have been the reason for a routing problem flagged up via a UR.
Now that we have the ability to also mark nodes as open/closed in order to allow/deny routing across a closure, having node closure states recorded in the history is also important, so that we can deal with URs related to routing problems along those cross routes as well.
ideally we'd be able to see in the history for a given segment if either…

Event with more than one other language
At the moment it is only possible to enter an englisch and optional one other language name for an WME Event.
Can this limit be increased for optional up to 4 or 5 names (including the englisch language)? That would be a gread addition for events that have official names for more than two languages, espiaclly in regions where boarders with more than one country or countrys which have multiple languages.
As example for boarder regions:
Belgium/Germany/Netherland
Austria/Switzerland/Germany
Austria/Hungary/Slovakia/Czech RepublicAs example for countrys with more than one local language:
Luxemburg (2 languages + englisch)
Switzerland (4 languages are spoken)…13 votes -
Make shields bigger in WME side panel
The little shields under the street name texts box are small and hard to see. Would be nice to have them bigger

External providers: Also suggest places marked as permanently closed (with a proper mark)
WME uses Google Maps as the external provider in Israel and doesn't suggest places marked in Google as permanently closed. Meanwhile, showing that the place is marked as closed in Google would hint that the place needs additional checking and possibly should be removed from the Waze map.

Make the WME Error Messages more user friendly
It would be handy if WME was more detailed in all the error messages.
Like it could at least take you to them so you can see what the issue is and also allow you to easily remove those edits causing the error if you don't have the permissions to make it or someone else has edited the element before you got to it.
The warning notifications haven't really been touched since I started editing and a lot of the time they're not as helpful.
User lukewsaunders even mentioned "for a beginning editor the warnings aren't very helpful and are…

Better Display of House Numbers (Edited or Imported)
Recently the House Number process was changed.
Recommend restoring the last editor's name in the upper left corner if the HN was edited. This used to be displayed until this change.
Recommend that you add a dashed line and color code it to show the status of the HN. There is a script that does this but it would be better to have it native to the WME.
Four colors on the dashed line from the HN number to the anchor point.
White - edited by an editor
Yellow - base import (not edited)
Orange - edited by an editor…13 votes -
Allow editing geometry of segments with permanent hazards (PHs)
Currently, if a segment has a PH, it automatically becomes non-editable by lower level editors, even if they would normally be able to edit a given segment, had there been no PH on that segment. This prevents an editor from continuing, and requires intervention from a senior level editor.
The only way around it, is to remove the entire segment with a PH and add it again, in order to continue fixing geometries. However, there is a big downside to this approach, that it also removes added HNs.
One could isolate the PH, by sub-dividing the segment into three segments,…

Show "Hidden" external providers like Yext
Show that this data exists, so that editors will be more likely to merge than to delete.
When new place points are added as part of a large upload from Yext or some other advertising aggregator, many editors will be likely to reject the new-place PURs because an already perfect place already exists.
If they were aware that there was some other important information in the PUR, then they would be much more likely to accept the PUR.
The back end data script reveals the existence of this data in places. But I don't think it makes sense to depend…
13 votesHey!
Thank you very much for this great suggestion.
It was added to our backlog to try and see the possibility to implement it when we will next use external providers.
Please note there is no ETA for it yet.
Best,

Allow editors to override default order in which area polygons are rendered.
Often times we find that area places intersect on the map and do not render in a way that makes sense. As an example, under the current scheme, a large water body will be drawn behind a smaller park polygon where these two types of objects are drawn together. To combat this, editors are required to either draw complex coastlines twice, or break up water objects to create smaller polygons that will be drawn on top. We could improve the appearance of the map significantly if we had some control over which objects appear in front of others. This could…

We would like to get some examples with permalinks in order to be able to check this suggestions.
Any example will be highly appreciated.
Thank you!

Symbol for Restrictions that repeat annually
Currently, the restrictions that are repeated annually are indicated as those that have expired with the yellow triangle.
It would be very useful to differentiate the restrictions that have actually expired from those that are not currently active but are repeated annually.12 votes -

Invert Coordinates in Editor (first Latitude, after Longitude)
In Waze Map Editor the coordinates appear Longitude and Latitude.
But in my opinion, this is stupid, because all Maps, GPS, Navigators use the opposite, first Latitude and after Longitude.
I use the coordinates to search something in another map, and I have to reverse the coordinates. So, I suggest invert the coordinates in Waze Map Editor. Showing first Latitude, after Longitude.

Suite/floor numbers
Add the ability for editors to add suite and/or floor numbers for establishments. This feature would be especially useful in NYC and other cities with lots of mixed-use development.

Note or comment on reason for place update request in editor
Create an option to add a note onto a PUR in the editor when a change is pending for a higher level editor to approve the request.
There are several suggestions on being able to add reasons for why an update is rejected, but a method for the submitting editor to explain the reason for a change might be more effective in helping the senior editor make the decision to accept or reject.
This can currently be done with a map comment, but often those arent noticed when reviewing the PURs in busy areas or will remain on the map…

New suggestion subcategories: (1) UR Handling and (2) Management Tools
Please add suggestion-box subcategories for (1) UR Handling and (2) Management Tools. These are critical aspects of the experience for all Waze editors. Strictly speaking they are somewhat separate from main WME functionality, so it would be more inviting to provide dedicated suggestion subcategories.
UR Handling would involve all aspects of how URs and PURs are submitted and handled, including communication with UR reporters. Community Management Tools would involve Waze tools to support how new and advancing editors are contacted, informed, awarded greater responsibilities, or in the unfortunate but not uncommon case of difficult editor situations, contained.

Differentiate Visiting Helpers/Raiders from True Area Managers
Please differentiate between visiting helpers/raiders and true Area Managers. At present, temporary map raiders and other visiting helpers are typically provided with editable area by granting them "Area Manager" status. As a result, community tools do not distinguish between visiting helpers and dedicated local managers. This can confuse editors, particularly beginners and visitors, who want to identify a true Area Manager for a region in order to open a conversation on local issues. It may also demoralize true Area Managers when the same status they worked hard for, and feel proud to have been granted, appears to be granted with…
