Use clear, distinctive voices
I've been using Waze for a while, but the new voice in the UK is not clear; bland and muffled compared to the old one. Turning the volume is annoying, especially since this is only a recent problem.
Since it makes the directions indistinct, Waze is less useful than it was.
Since it's distracting to try to understand it, continuing to use Waze has become a safety issue.3 votes -
Better navigation - height width weight
Please add three values to segments, maxHeight, maxWidth, maxWeight. All segments should default to 0.
Please add user settings of maxHeight, maxWidth, maxWeight. They should default to 0. The label should direct the user to enter their height/width in metres and weight in tonnes.
When reviewing a navigation route, check if there is a value of maxHeight, maxWidth, maxWeight exceeding 0. If there is a value, cross-check the users maxHeight, maxWidth, maxWeight is lower.
If the users value is higher than the segment value, disregard that segment as a navigation option.

Please change the voiceover to say drive “safely” NOT drive “safe.” It’s an adverb. Or say “Have a safe drive,” used as an adjective.

timing of alerts
is there any way WAZE can have the speed limit changes switch a little earlier, cos at the moment I can go 50ft or more past the speed limit change before the waze updates the change. certain plods near east gordano set up traps right behind the speed limit sign,

Road Name Display
Show current road name in a bubble at the bottom of the screen without having a route selected. This would help when traveling in an unfamiliar area and want to know the name of the streets you are on. This could be added as an option under the navigation group so it would only be shown when selected.

Lucifer Morningstar as a Navigation Voice
I’d love to suggest adding Lucifer Morningstar (from the Netflix series Lucifer) as a voice option for navigation.
He’s charming, sarcastic, effortlessly confident, and always has something clever to say—traits that would fit perfectly into Waze’s fun, personality-filled navigation style. His voice (played by Tom Ellis) would make any drive more entertaining.
Lucifer already has a massive fanbase, and his personality is made for this kind of feature.

Autodetect closures and closed roads
Waze should automatically detect closures and close roads without relying on Wazers to use the in-app closure function or on map editors to add them. Just as Waze can detect traffic and reroute, it could also detect when no one follows the directed guidance and there is zero traffic on a segment. Then when Wazer start driving on the segment again it could reopen.
Google Maps (part of Google Geo) gets closure info from Waze. And Waze (part of Google Geo) should also get closure info from Google Maps. It doesn't now, and instead will route Wazers into a closed…

Expanded voice command for Car Play
Expand voice commands to Car Play to allow hands-free communication to notify other drivers of road incidents, police, etc. This would be a huge safety issue for the driver as well as providing faster and more accurate information for other drivers.

Android Auto - Settings icon
Hello.
I use Android, everything is up to date. When I get in and start the car, Android Auto starts and there is a settings icon in the Waze application. While driving, this icon disappears and after stopping the car it is not visible. So when I want to set something, I have to disconnect and reconnect when the car is stationary. I understand that some settings are not allowed while driving, but they could be visible.

Being able to pinpoint the exact location of a cop, wreck or other map issue
I think Wazer should be able to pinpoint the exact location of a cop, wreck or etc. I know that in the state that I live in, if a cop sees you on the phone, they’re going to pull you over and give you a ticket. So therefore, I can only report a cop after I have already passed them, which leads to an incorrect location of where the cop actually is.

Six essential functions when using apps on mobile phones
Recommendations for the Waze app:
1. Add setting item: Speed adjustment is a slider from 0 to 15km/h to compensate for slower speed compared to reality due to gps latency
2. Change the current speeding warning threshold setting menu to a slider with values from -20km/h to 20km/h so that users can choose the appropriate warning threshold for each need.
3. Add voice speed warning sound option
4. Add option to Repeat overspeed warning: (Off, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds…)

No access to “…. car park”
When I want to park at a car park like Sainsbury’s, Tesco, or Morrisons, I sometimes see signs that say “No access to Morrisons Car Park.” In these cases, you can still use the road, but you’re not allowed to enter the Morrisons car park from that direction.
Could there be an option for users to mark places where these types of signs are posted, so others know not to take that route if they’re specifically trying to access the car park?
Maybe when searching for an address and selecting “car park,” the route guidance could avoid roads that have…
