Flexibility
I would like to be able to drop a pin where I saw an object on the road or an incident even though I am now one mile beyond it.

New platform: Firefox OS
Firefox OS (formerly boot-to-Gecko) is a soon-to-be-released platform for low-end smartphones for emerging markets. It combines a stripped-down Android base (called Gonk) with Gecko (the Firefox render engine) and Gaia, a client layer written entirely in HTML5. The Mozilla Foundation is making some apps available for the commercial release, including HERE Maps, created by Nokia, but HERE is not a very good mapping solution, it lacks turn-by-turn navigation and the interface is overall a mess. Waze could really benefit from being the first turn-by-turn navigation solution to come to a platform and, in its turn, Firefox OS really needs…

שמתי לב לכך שהמערכת לא מזהה מעברים תחתיים בכביש, כדוגמה: בצומת כפר שמריהו, בצומת קפלן מנחם בגן ליד עזריאלי, ובמנהרת אלוף שדה. המערכת שולחת אותי לעבור את הצומת דרך הרמזורים מלמעלה ולא שולחת אותי לעבור במעבר התחתי. התוצאה הארכת זמן הנהיגה. כדאי לעדכן את המערכת.

Dear waze, could you send notifications regarding accidents or traffic near you ?
Waze tells us every time there is an accident or traffic and shows us the best route to avoid it. But most of the times its too late and we only get to see this when we turn the apllication on and get in our cars. It would be really helpful if you could add a feature where it warns you beforehand by sending a notification, this way you know before leaving home in the morning or whenever you're going somewhere that you need to leave before your usual time so you're not late. Please consider this. Thank you wazers

Miscellaneous Suggestions - Reporting Items Not There and Hazards
I would suggest having the ability to select reports and mark them as not there. For instance, oncoming traffic reports of speed traps or traffic that have since cleared up but not timed out.
Also reporting a road hazard of disabled vehicle on the road. Currently there's vehicle on shoulder and you can report an accident on the road. We should be able to note a disabled vehicle blocking one lane.
Lastly there should be the ability to note in an accident if it's affecting both sides (when EMS responds from both directions and closes lanes), when the road is…

Alert: Excessive traffic deceleration.
Irrespective of cause, unusually great deceleration of one vehicle is a hazard for the vehicles behind - at least on highways with average speed above that of city traffic.
Real-time alerts from the Waze system via our community of users may offer a unique opportunity to prevent (or reduce injuries and damage of) highway mass crashes.Various alerting criteria may be used e.g:
Client accelerometers (or GPS-speed time derivatives) indicating a deceleration greater than, say, the 80th percentile for that road (segment) or average speed level - established by Waze server statistics.7 votes -

Show upcoming canteens on the road you're moving
An added feature, which I think could be useful, would be the ability to show the nearest canteen or burger van on the road we're moving. If the community could be allowed to add the info it would slowly populate and could have it on the screen as a reminder to grab something to eat.

Hi everyone! I would like to Waze the most used reports remains "top" for example, I use a lot "car stopped on the low side," although it will Waze detects and leaves in the foreground, to avoid have too many unnecessary to manipulation. (Sorry it's a google traduction, I'm french)

When you're driving it's handy to know where a highway police station along the highway is, that's where police activity is usually highest
