Indiquer les temps supplémentaires (delta) sur la carte à chaque croisement/sortie d'autoroute
Sur un trajet quotidien, les routes alternatives sont souvent connues.
Quand Waze indique de prendre un autre itinéraire que celui qu'on a l'habitude de faire, il peut être intéressant d'indiquer quel temps supplémentaire on mettrait en restant sur le chemin habituel.
Une différence (delta) de 1 ou 2 minutes est peut-être sans importance.Le trajet alternatif peut manquer de wazer indiquant s'il est viable ou non. Du coup il appartient plutôt au conducteur de décider s'il souhaite l'emprunter ou pas.
Ce que je suggère est d'indiquer par un nombre sur les routes sortant du trajet défini par Waze le temps…

Snow removal equipment
I was in Maryland during the recent blizzard. I was able to make the return drive to Pittsburgh on Monday. The roads where clear, however road crews were doing snow removal on the shoulders, left and right. I found during my drive the crews were often on turns and had I had no warning to be able to change lanes for safe distance.
That's when I thought of a SNOW PLOW notification. It would include a left or right choice and on road or shoulder choice. Moving or stationary would be a choice too, but might be a bit much…

Hazard Acknowledgement

I meet way too many “out of date" hazards, so this is my suggestion.
On Waze, when a driver is approaching a hazard, a dialog box should appear. In the dialog box it should read: “Hazard still here?” The driver should then have the option to press a “Yes” button or a “No” button.
There should also be a timing and a colour code system. i.e. If the “Yes” button is pressed the clock will reset to zero, the hazard icon will stay/change to red. Other drivers can then click the hazard icon and see that this hazard…

רוב טעויות הפניה נגרמות בשל פניה מוקדמת שנגרמת בגלל חוסר יכולת להעריך מרחק על המפה. בישראל נהוג ליצור שתי פניות ימינה - האחת לפני מחלף ואחת אחריה. ההודעה המקובלת כדי לפנות בפניה השינה ימינה היא "בעוד 800 מטר היצמד לנתיב הימני". זה גורם לנהגים להיצמד לנתיב הימני מוקדם מדי ולפנות בפניה הראשונה ימינה במקום בפנייה השניה.

Why can't I sign up using my PC?
I don't have a smart phone but I do like to check the traffic before I leave work. However, there does not appear to be any way to sign up or join or whatever unless you download the app to a phone.

icons on map view
When I am looking at my three route options, the List view shows my small icons representing events on my suggested paths. But, when I switch to Map view - when I want to SEE what's going on where - those same icons are nowhere to be found.
Having the event icons on the map view (when choosing a route) would help me make a more informed decision on which route to choose because I can see for certain how traffic, accidents, etc. will impact each route and which makes more sense (based upon prior experience on those roads).

Simplified UI for logging common hazards
The idea is to reduce the number of clicks needed for "common" tasks. For example, I mostly use one of the three traffic levels for my side of the other side as well as vehicles stopped on the shoulder, again for both sides. If clicking the Hazard pin popped up this list as simple icons first, it's two clicks to complete any of those common tasks. There could still be a "more" option for other details and if it's a editable list then it could be customised per user.

"Prefer Freeways" instead of "Avoid Tolls"
Currently, you can set Waze to 'avoid tolls' which is handy - but this prevents Waze from recommending tollways when there is traffic on the freeway. For example, in Dallas we have 635 and 635 Express. Both follow the exact same path, the only difference is the express lanes cost around $5. It would be very nice if Waze would prefer the freeway, but still recommend the tollway if there is significant traffic reported on the freeway.
Also, Waze seems to have trouble telling if I am on the freeway or tollway, since they are basically right next to each…

Gives the option to cancel a Waze direction change order and recalculate
When we are on a path of two parallel lanes in the same direction, and you being on the track 01 the Waze commands you to go to the track 02, if you stay on track 01 the Waze understands that you went to the track 2 (perhaps by proximity of two lanes).
The problem here is that the Waze calculates the speed of the track 02 taking your car as reference, however it is on the track 01. Thus the track 01 would be the best option, but for this error that indicates that you (and others that did…

Please translate foreign words for exit and onramp
I love waze and have used for several years. One thing, however, is annoying me and that is the English pronunciation of foreign words that mean exit, on ramp, and so forth. It makes no sense what so ever.
For example, I am using waze in Sweden with the English voice over. The Swedish word for "exit" is "Avfart" and instead of translating this to the English word exit, the voice pronounces the word in English. This word is never used on signs in Sweden, only the exit number is listed, so it is really confusing. The same applies to…

Automatically suggest wazers for regular commuting sharing (I say I'm interested, waze observes my habits for a while, then suggests)
Rather than having to search for people to share home to work commuting waze could find and suggest compatible profiles (days, times of days, and itinerary or even a significant portion of itinerary). It is complex to search, independant services may not have enough subscibers etc? It is a green attitude, etc.
The idea is you just need to say you like the idea, then waze does the search and suggestions, after an observation while, with almost no disturbance. The suggestions are sufficiently well presented to serve as an introduction between people who have registered interest in sharing trips.
