"Both lanes" reporting option
Add a "both lanes" option when reporting traffic jams, hazards, and accidents affecting both directions of travel at the same time.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

I would find this immensely useful -- a simple ability for us to flag whether or not a hazard, such as a stopped vehicle, is at or toward the Left or Right. Whenever I can manage to do so safely, I try to input "Left" or "Right" in the message box, but it would be easier and safer if Waze facilitated this as a built-in function.

Which side of the road the hazard is on, left or right. Specifically a vehicle stopped hazard. Would be good for multi-lane highways.

YES. Thank god the visuals still show up either way, but it would be VERY helpful to have vocal warning ahead of time, too, regardless of which side of the highway the police was reported on. They also often flip back and forth -- pull over someone southbound, get reported by other southbound drivers, but by the time my northbound self gets to his location, he's finished that stop and moved to my side.

It would be helpful to add what side of the road certain things are on. Whether that’s my final destination, an accident, road construction or other things, knowing the the correct lane to be in would be helpful.

Give the wazers, or wazer passengers who nput hazards or lane closures into the system, needs to be more specific, as to which shoulder or which lane is blocked or if it is even in the opposite direction.
Especially in the Major Metropolitan regions, the need to be able to know which shoulder or lane has disabled vehicles or other dangerous objects in them is important. A broke down car on the smaller left shoulder is much more dangerous to traffic than one in the wide right shoulder, or if there is a disabled car or accident blocking the #2 &3 lanes in a 7 lane freeway, is very important, as cars moving at freeway speeds might not have enough time to stop or make a sudden lane change, if they did not know which lanes were affected. Many times when a vehicle is involved in an accident or has a mechanical breakdown, especially during rush hours, they will not be able to get to the right shoulder, they may be forced to the left shoulder or stay in place, and until responders are able to get to the scene there is a high likelihood of a secondary accident, if there is no alert of the incident.

Make it easy to show what lane hazard is in.

When an accident, pot hole, object on road or roadkill are present, users should be prompted to pick which lane is affected by the event.

We need to have option for reporting police that could affect both lanes of traffic. So if an officer is in the median I could report it for both sides at once, over doing "visible" and "other side" in two reports.

When you place an alert, being able to add which side the caution is on..
For example, on multiple lane roads/highways, choosing the left or right side for an accident/police/ or hazard instead of it always being on the right side of the direction you’re heading in.

When you announce vehicles stopped, state which side of the road (left or right side) so we can change lanes in time safely and avoid them.

Allow drivers to verify, all items on both sides of the road, not just the side you're driving on.

For hazards and/or police presence, what about adding lanes? Left shoulder, right shoulder, object in center lane.

At this time, a person can report an object, vehicle, or closure on a lane, but we can't let people know which lane.
Please create a feature which allows lane selection via a big graphic, similar to the visual feature that already tells a person which lane to be in to take a turn or exit when there are multiple options. Then those of us who have normal sized and plus sized fingers can accurately choose the lane with the issue.
This way, a person can select which lane is closed or which lane has a vehicle stopped or which lane has an object in it. We can all avoid the danger much sooner and much safer.

Today I was driving on the highway while one lane was closed. Every 20 seconds I got a notification from Waze that the lane was closed (every sight in the road was “reported as an issue” automatically I think). Could this be changed into a continuous visualization which lanes are open or closed (or only one notification per 5 minutes). That be great!

Add the option to indicate which lane the accident or danger is in.
Because I see a hazard warning and could change the lane in advance.
(e.g. danger in lane 1-2-3-4) -

Call it way, when reporting police, you only have 3 options: hidden, visible, in other side. There should be a 4th option Colin police in center median. That way both sides of the road or divided highway can get advanced noticed properly.

When reporting construction or accident, can we please have the option to select if a certain lane is closed (left lane closed ahead, etc). Thanks

Please do. I sometimes turn around just so I can "not there" an expired report.
