add new alert
Hello,
I have two feature requests that would significantly improve the user experience:
1. Please add a notification when the GPS signal is lost.
In the current version, the app can lose GPS without warning, which causes confusion during navigation.
2. Please add the ability to select the starting point directly from the map.
This is very useful when planning a route from a different location or checking a route for someone else.Thank you for considering these improvements.

auto reroute
Hi Ella and colleagues, I have a waze suggestion. Please ask the Waze engineer to please add an option in the Settings of the App for the end-user: please let me explain first. Waze no longer is asking for re-routing permission - Waze now just dynamically (automatically) re-routes now in the middle of navigating. And I understand why, this is because to minimize distraction. Allow negative speed offset (reduce the speed warning threshold)
It It would be really helpful if Waze allowed us to adjust the speed offset in both directions — not only to add km/h, but also to subtract.
In my case, my car’s speedometer consistently shows 5 km/h faster than the real speed shown in Waze/GPS. I tested this many times and it’s always the same difference.
Because of this, I’d like to set the speed alert to something like:
✅ “Warn me when I’m less than 5 km/h below the speed limit”

Adding Fisheries, water police, and marine parks for greater crime detterence.
If fisheries (as they are called in Australia), water police, and marine parks were added as an alert option, many illegal activities could be prevented. Especially in places such as Australia with fragile ecosystems, overfishing could be prevented by knowing that fisheries, water police or marine parks are active and that people should only take what they need. These alerts could be added like police alerts, at boat ramps or on the water for each respective branch of enforcement to keep out marine wildlife safe.

New reporting features
New features to consider:
- police booze bus (Australian feature)
- relabel “car on shoulder” to “vehicle on shoulder” (to capture all vehicles such as cars, trucks and motorbikes)

Do not dim navigation on opening audio. Make track skip buttons bigger. Allow nav controls to be adjustable on nav Screen
Allow users to customise their nav screen so they can position and size the features they need.
Most importly, just because I want my audio player open with bigger track skip buttons and current track listing DO NOT DIM THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE MAP SCREEN! I’m still navigating, why make it dark and hard to see because I want to see what I’m listening to?!
your UI choices make impede some useful functionality. Let users choose what nav information they need, where on the screen it is and how large it is. Maybe I need a larger speedo and bigger…

Waze vehicle option for trucks.
Need truck routes also, for different truck weights and hights also.

Waze should alert the user if traffic or an accident causes it to re-route you, rather than just doing it.
Alerting the user that a better route is available due to an accident or traffic, rather than just re-routing, would leave the user better informed. I eneded up in a 40 min traffic jam due to an accident because Waze tried to divert me off my usual route with no explanation. My old Garmins/TomToms used to do this.

Add "Federal Police" to the hazard list to inform others that Immigration authorities are active in the area.

INCLUDE KAMIKAZE´S ALERT IN WAZE
LIVES COULD BE SAVED BY INCLUDING A QUICK ACCESS KAMIKAZE (vehicle driving in the wrong direction) ALERT ON WAZE. KAMIKAZES IS ONE, IF NOT THE DEADLIEST DANGERS THAT YOU CAN ENCOUNTER ON A ROAD AND WAZE DO NOT HAVE THIS ALERT. I THINK IT SHOULD INCLUDE IT ASAP

Treat roads with RTC as routable pedestrian path
Right now, when trying to route to a destination on a closed road, it's pretty much like the road no longer exists and Waze will route to the nearest open road.
Sometimes, this means that users will be routed somewhere completely different, like to the middle of a highway, to the other side of a raildroad track into a completely different neighbourhood, etc.
Segments with RTCs on them should be treated as a routable pedestrian path: route the driver to the closest entry point.

Don’t close history while driving
Don’t close history while driving. You tell us not to type and drive but force us to by repeatedly closing the history menu while driving. I car scroll down to pick a location I was at recently, so I have to type it in again while driving.

New fixed Radar
What ever I have reported as mobile radar is actually new radar fixed on the post. There is no option to report fixed radar. Pls add a icon on the main screen rather than going for the selection option which takes time

RV/Truck routing
Any possibility in the future to be able to choose RV or Tractor Trailer as your vehicle then trigger truck routes that would send you around low clearances or sharp turns, step grades etc.?
