Disable/option iPhone touch-rotating map
When navigating with my iPhone I usually want to zoom in and out using the pinch movement as most apps use, but half the time trigger the touch to rotate map feature, which I never really need to use.
My suggestion: Disable this (the map will still rotate when you are heading in a certain direction, which is all anyone should need it to do) or at least have an option to turn it off.

Verbal “Animal Alert” & Animal Icon replaced in app
Requesting update to app: 50 mile commute to & from work. High potential for animal / wildlife encounters & add a loss of connection for approx 5 miles during the trip. Would like an “Animal” icon to be placed back into the app & a verbal “Animal Alert” be announced the same way that construction, crashes, hazards & police, do so now. Replace unintuitive “not there” button symbol
When people are driving, symbols need to be instantly recognizable. For example, most of the report icons on the initial report display meet that requirement.
But when driving and you come across something like a partner feed alert and the app wants more info, the “not there” icon option is a stylized… purple and red, what?.. gloved?.. thumbs down hand that doesn’t intuitively convey “NO” and does not match the style theme of the other app icons. Differentiate alternative routes from each other by color
If you display alternative routes while actively navigating/driving, they will all be displayed in the same color. It would be helpful to display each route in a different color for easy differentiation.

Revamp the entire EV charging options/filters/functionality
Many good ideas for improvement already in the suggestion box that should be implemented. There should also be a filter for Tesla stations that are Tesla only, so that those with adapters unable to use those locations can filter them out.14 votes -

Warning of approaching speed limit sign
We need to have a warning about approaching a speed limit change sign 550m ahead. Like the traffic camera warning ahead. This is very necessary so that drivers can proactively reduce speed from a distance. And the speed limit symbol can be optionally larger in size.

EV filter for fast charging (DC) and filter for slow charging (AC)
Choose to search for fast OR slow chargers exclusively (instead of mixed list currently showing).
Add a restrictive filter that on selection ónly displays Fast chargers (DC) when traveling long distances.
Add a separate restrictive filter showing only slow chargers (AC) for destination charging.
Please make the filter option available for Android auto as well.

Extreme Temperature Crisis Response
Waze should add Extreme Temperature events to the Crisis Response process. As extreme heat events and extreme cold events become more and more frequent, citizens are going to increasingly need to find and navigate to Cooling Centers and Warming Centers that local governments and emergency planners open when the weather gets too hot or too cold. When using the assistance, waze often chooses the wrong destination. It would be super helpful to see the destination for a few seconds before the route actually kicks in. Or to be able to confirm.

Speedometer position Android Auto
Actual Speed and Limit icons to be set closer to driver position (left or right of screen) depending on driver position in settings.
On car displays having the icons on opposite side can take the attention off the road for too long when trying to observe the speed limit / actual speed.14 votes -

Speedometer can be pinned to my phones entire display (during carplay). That way it’s easier to read at a glance. Perhaps what displays on your phone screen when connected to carplay could be fully customisable?

Have an option for customizing buttons on the screen like shortcuts for potholes so you only have to tap once instead of going through menus.

Add More Car Icons
I would like to see more options for car icons. Rather than Waze spending time creating the icons, Waze could provide specifications for icons and users could then create and upload their own car icons. A handheld GPS unit I used to have had this capability. It was great to be able to select things like the U.S.S. Enterprise, or Defiant, or Enterprise-E, or Airwolf, or K.I.T.T... or whatever users could come up with.

Speed alerts relevant to the vehicle driven
Hi could you make it possible to have a option to choose a van as a vehicle option? By selecting the vehicle as a car when driving a van makes the speed limit alerts incorrect. Thanks

Trajectcontrole beter opvolgen
