WAY OVERDUE - quick easy toggle between freeway routing and surface street routing. Too many steps to compare route quickness.
frequently in a busy freeway city culture being able to toggle quickly between quickest route freeway AND quickest route surface streets - takes too many steps to toggle. Needs to be on front page map. I’ve been a Waze member from the start and shocked that this has not happened where I can input a route for freeway driving and easily switch to surface streets where the route is OFTEN quicker but system keeps me in freeway gridlock when set for freeways. level crossings
I was wondering whether you have looked into using real time train information to inform the Waze journey planner.
This would be most relevant where there are level crossings, and would allow to reroute drivers when the crossing is about to go down.
I believe that currently, Waze only reroute drivers once the crossing has already gone down causing congestion rather than pre-emptively.
I’d be really interested to hear your thoughts on the subject and the feasibility of this.

Better customization options in the settings
I think you should be able to customize your own GPS to be able to avoid certain streets and also to always take Highway as first route priority

Show All Alternate Route Information and Make It Easier to See and Select While Driving
When driving on a route, Waze lets you select alternate routes. However, there is not enough information given to make an informed choice.
Examples:
A) Waze may suggest a different freeway than the one you're currently on, but to get to that freeway you may be routed on side streets. You know that the traffic on the side streets is not accurately reported by Waze and are busy at that time of day and so you would avoid that route if you knew Waze would route you that way.B) Waze senses that traffic is getting worse ahead and suggests…

Indiquer la fermeture d'une rue scolaire
rue ulens numéro 83 située à Molenbeek Saint-Jean (Belgique/Bruxelles) est fermée à la circulation du lundi eu vendredi de 8h20 à 8h40, l'après-midi de 15h10 à 15h30 et le mercredi de 12h15 à 12h30.

Suggest a faster route with Vignettes/passes
This happens very often: You plan a trip. It should take e.g. 12 hours using highways.
Then you open Waze and forget to add the pass/Vignette. The Waze offers you a route. You glance at it and don't see it is taking back roads on the overview, so you accept it and start driving...
After 10/12 hours you realize you are only halfway there and you won't arrive to your accomodation on time (happens more than you'd think)... what happened? Waze didn't prompt you to add the pass/Vignette for a faster route.

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

Aujourd hui bison futé signale journée rouge de Paris à la Bretagne. Demain journée verte.
Waze indique par contre des temps comparables sur le même trajet entre les deux jours. Qui se trompe ? Avez vous analysé ces différences ? Avez vous des données statistiques sur ce que l on appelle en France "les grands départs" ?

New destinations on the go
Hi. Add this feature needed (especially por taxi drivers). When you have a route set from Point A to Point B, be able to add a point C, and D and Etc on the go, to go after point B (not before) without changing the route that already exists. Give the option to down load maps of other country and plan on it a trip without times. Just to see the best orders of point to visit. Save the routes and when geting to the country . Apply it on the live map

Aprimoramento de rotas
Vocês deviam aprimorar as rotas e traçar rotas mais inteligentes para os usuários, talvez usando algum tipo de inteligência artificial para calcular e entender qual seria o melhor trajeto mais curto e direto, pois muitas vezes vocês me dão rotas mais longas e completamente sem sentido me fazendo desviar o trajeto indo para o lado oposto do meu destino e me fazendo dar voltas inúteis no quarteirão para depois voltar ao mesmo lugar onde eu já estava.
