feature suggestion, pop up reports when there are traffic issues to any of the destinations on your favorites list
we all have favorites saved. waze should pop up a warning when it detects we are travelling and warn of accidents and such in a route to any of the destinations, we could then click to find an alternate route and have from there. also, what about a warning when there are serious accidents near home and work locations.

Beperkte snelheid
Graag een voertuigcategoriekeuze toevoegen: auto met aanhangwagen. Deze zou dan rekening moeten houden met lagere maxinumsnelheden en verbodsbepalingen. Erg handig voor bv vakantieverkeer met caravans/vouwwagens en beroepsverkeer (aannemers/hoveniers/etc).

בבקשה תחזירו בהקדם את האייקון שהיה מראה את כיוון צפון ביחס לכיוון הנסיעה (תוך כדי הנסיעה, על פני מסך הניווט - משתנה ומתכוונן און ליין בהתאם לכיוון הנסיעה בפועל). בדיוק כמו שהיה באפליקציה בעבר. למה הפסקתם ?

Using previous traffic accidents to highlight dangerous corners, junctions and roads to warn drivers.
Maybe highlighting areas in red where there’s high accident rates or even putting a bouquet of flowers or something as a symbol for a previous road death. Making drivers more wary when entering a dangerous corner, junctions etc.

New Icons for users
New icons like road work, fog area. As drivers passed next to it they can tap on the appropriate icon and update your map.
Also I would stonily suggest an Icon for Speed Camera to differ from your police icon.

Add the google map feature: swiping direction box shows next steps
In google maps on Android Auto, swiping on the box showing the next turn shows the next step. If you keep swiping you scroll thru the steps. This feature needs to be added to Waze.

Maximum speed of vehicle
It would be great to have a possibility to set maximum speed of my vehicle / motorbike.

"Pause spoken audio" cannot be turned off
Even with the "Pause spoken audio" off, Waze continue to pause the Apple Podcast app.
Worst, the pause mechanism is not great because it makes me miss a few seconds of podcast at each alert forcing me to rewind.I created a voice with small airplane chimes to get alerts and not missing a turn without having full spoken directions (especially for commute where I know the directions).
The chimes are so small and unintrusive that I prefer to have them played over my music/podcast.Being able to NOT pause the podcast is therefore important.

Lane Guidance on Roundabouts
When approaching a roundabout in the UK, waze will not tell me which lane I need to be in, to take my desired exit.
This is something that Google maps does so WELL! Please consider adding this on waze.

Map & Command more like Google!
PLEASE READ & VOTE!!
Instead of “Turn right / left in .1 miles” (esp. for in-town and city driving) change to Google-like commands (e.g.- “At the next light / stop sign, turn right/left) and SHOW Device - light or sign at corners - on the map, as such - sign or light).
Doing so also helps to know HOW MANY lights or signs remain between you and your next turn.
It’s impractical to watch your mileage in these conditions. It’s more “natural” - as when someone is telling you directions in the passenger seat - to look for the next…3 votes -
Retrospective report submission
The option to retrospectively report an alert for other drivers. Reporting alerts such as collisions, police activity, petrol prices etc can’t and shouldn’t really be done while driving (if driving alone) - but once at a standstill, or at your destination, the option to scroll back down your route and place the alert at the location worth mentioning would be ideal. - the orange button to do so only appears while en-route and your map “centered” using the compass, which takes you away from where you want to report the activity.

Suppress lane guidance announcement when turning lane is a single lane
Currently, on intersections with Lane Guidance mapped, for TTS voices, Waze announces the number of lanes that turn. For example, "Use the right 2 lanes to turn right".
My suggestion is that if there is only a single lane in the rightmost or leftmost position to perform the turn maneuver (whether it's a Keep, Exit, Turn, or U-Turn), Waze do not announce the "Use the right lane to turn right", or the "Use the left lane to turn left". If there are more lanes or more complex maneuvers, Waze keeps the lane announcments.

Display number on screen
The number of your destination should display on the screen as well as the street name.
At the moment only the street name is displayed with no number2 votes -
Ask for rating and feedback at the end of journeys like Google Maps does
After finishing each journey, there should be a prompt to rate the journey in the scale of sad faces or smiley faces like Google Maps does at the end of journeys.
Far too many times Waze re-routes to save a few minutes but takes you down through the tightest narrowest roads possible.
In London, UK roads can either be a breeze or they can be like driving through a maze with all the small tight roads meant for one way traffic but is actually used for two way traffic.
Then please implement the feedback and ratings to show routes where…

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

Show a picture of the destination. when you enter in the address to where you're going show a picture Of the destination and once you arrive show a picture of the destination. a hotel etc
