icon size
I'd like an option for larger map icon sizes. The current icons are too small for me to make out at a glance.

Crowd Tourguide via POI;s
Allow people to add POI's and make a voice recording telling you an interesting fact about this POI.
This will allow other users that pass the area, to listen to the recording and rate it or report it for removal.
This can help people driving through unknown areas to be guided by facts provided by others that would make the journey more interesting than simply driving through an area and not knowing anything about it.1 voteThanks for your feedback. Fix my Starbucks dilemma
Mark places that serve Starbucks as something other than Starbucks. I drive all day and search for Starbucks to get a coffee or food on the way to my destination. I end up at retirement homes, hospitals, churches, schools......

Tripit Integration
Wouldn't it be cool if Waze linked to the Tripit.com API and was able to pull out all of the places I had meetings in a day. That way I could get a feel in advance for the travel time I might require to drive. Also I wouldn't have to screw around copying each address over for every trip, Waze would just be aware of the addresses.

Please remove the daily limit on alerts.
Daily limit on map alerts for police and vehicles on shoulder is WAY too low. Please raise the limit. On a long trip of 600 miles i passed through major cities and the amount of alerts goes up of course. This limit should be related to the WAZE score for the user. The higher the points, the more alerts per day you can send.

Need for Brazilian app: new category for segment (viela) like (dirt roads)
In Brazil government allow traffic in "viela", first "viela" is a drivable road normally between houses. At the moment this segment is categorized/translated as "pedestrian broad walk".
I suggest that that a new type of segment is created "viela" for Brazilian app and Waze editor, since it doesn't share the same restrictions as "pedestrian broad walk".
I also suggest the creation of a button like the existing "dirt road" since some drivers don't like to use "viela" to move arround.

Waze Light
Dear Waze community,
Typically, I rely on Waze to guide me home, however, while leaving a friend's apartment while visiting a foreign country, I found that my fastest route home led me down dark streets and uncrowded areas. Being a young female, I realized that while this was the most efficient way home, it was certainly the least safe. While walking, I realized a vital and potentially life saving feature that could be added to the Waze app would be directions that provided the most lit route in addition to the already offered fastest route. Waze audio stops working when I unplug my iPhone
As is obvious from other comments (including my own), Waze doesn't work well with Apple car play. When I am so frustrated with the inefficiency that I give up and unplug my phone so Waze will stop overriding the radio, Waze stops talking to me through the iPhone speakers. None of the settings changes; it just stops talking. So not only does it not work well with my car speakers, it forces me to pick up the phone and look at the screen every time I need to know whether and where to turn. VERY DANGEROUS.

Add a warning at the beginning of a route, if there's an area we should avoid.
Every day I use Waze to drive to work. I could take either one of two basic routes. Waze usually says "let's take..." and then tells me which route to take. That helps me know which way to turn when I pull out of my driveway, but often Waze tries to make me go around the block before I can actually get started. Consequently, every morning there is confusion about what Waze is really trying to tell me. Display address you're navigating to when you get near your destination
Often times I get close to my destination and I don't remember the exact house number I'm looking for. It would be nice if when Waze prompts that you're nearing your destination, that it would display the address you put in to navigate to so you can look for the house number as you get close to your destination.

Forward road-hazard reports to Highway Patrol
Sometimes I see the same dangerous road hazards day after day and I think local authorities would take care of it if Waze could only pass on the report (if only reports with a lot of "confirmations" from other Waze users).

Please acquire and support Navdy
You may or may not be familiar with the Navdy heads up display unit. I have one, it's a great device.
Sadly, on October 26, 2017, Navdy, Inc. (“Navdy”) entered into an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors (“Assignment”) and, as a result, Navdy is unfortunately no longer conducting business.

Automatic Gas Station Select
When choosing to update fuel prices for nearby gas stations, it would be extremely useful and much safer if the app would automatically select the gas station if only one were to show in the results. The interface could present an option at the top to allow them to add a gas station if the one they were expecting didn’t show up.
By auto selecting the only gas station in the results will make it much better for the user so they can focus more on the road.
