Alternative Warnings for Rural/Country areas
I live in upstate NY where there aren't always enough wazers to report issues that might be there. I was thinking it would be really nice if there would be a way to make known problem areas? For example:
-There is a known speed trap on my way to work but not enough wazers pass through the area to mark a cop if he's there. What if there was an option to place "known speedtrap" warnings so that even if no one has tagged the spot, the prevalence of cop presence would justify the warning even if there isn't a…

Removing C3PO
Please tell me how to remove the C3PO voice and revert to the original. This is really getting on my nerves. This is a lesson in how to screw up a great app. It should be a configuration option. Bad Google!!

linux client
i would like to have a Linux client build. i have built several custom laptops with Bluetooth connected GPS units and network via mobile hot-spots or connected cell cards and would much prefer to use Waze on them.

Need better support.
I have tried the boards and blogs but there is so much info I cannot find the help I need. New Phone,, tried to log in Android..does not recognize password...reset....same problem....dlete..reinstall...same problem.been on waze for years and now about to lose everything..If I don't get help soon will delete completely and not recommend at all.

instant (just in time) ridesharing
hello,
currently I've noticed that waze start to offer ridesharing. And I've idea to make it far better: "hiker" demand ride - app'll seek for a best match which fits his requirements ( destination/ radius from dest & other optional params) in radius of ~3km or time limit...
then notify both sides by voice when they're gettin near each other. It's meant like pick passengers along the road - with don't care attitude - you do not have to check when & where you gonna pick passengers ("hikers") before ride - plan your ride "in advance" & be bothered by…1 voteThanks for your feedback. Do not show the photo dialog in night mode
Making a good night photo is very difficult. Most night photos in Waze are pretty bad. I suggest to not automatically show the photo dialog in night mode.

Have optional driving laws and safe driving test and make results viewable to nearby Wazers.
This will help improve safe driving as well as help Wazers make informed decisions about driving near/with other Wazers.

REVERSIBLE ROADS
There are some countries (At least in Santiago, Chile and Mexico City where I live) that due to a high traffic times, some of the main streets gets REVERSIBLE, meaning that from certain times of the day the regular way of the street is REVERSED so the traffic can be more fluid. I would like to propose the facility of making REVERSIBLE roads

I was recently in a car accident. Is there a way to look at a certain date to see if the accident was reported or a pic taken?

Access to view live traffic cameras where available publicly on the internet like around Pittsburgh, PA..
In many cities there are traffic cameras posted on major routes. These are available over the internet and mobile phones so drivers can see live feeds. It would be great if Waze showed those along routes or on the maps so drivers can quickly view current conditions.
We should also be able to add these to the maps through the editor and link to the published URLs of the cameras.

Sound Navigation
One of my favorite things about Maps is when I'm in route to my destination and I want to here what my next step in my direction is that I can tap the screen and here the lady tell me what to expect next whether I'm .2 miles away, 1 mile away or 5 miles away from my next turn. Allow users to edit Toll road times (general)
In Stockholm roads have toll during week days and then business hours (diff. price throughout the day). Week ends are free as well as evenings. Also bank holidays are free and days before certain bank holidays.
With the general setting today Waze will avoid toll roads (if set to avoid) on times when no toll exist.Either move toll setting to destination setting page or improve map edit to include whereabouts of the toll camera/device and time schedule incl. price.
