Highlight Active Icon
We recently got a Mazda CX50 and the interface with iPhone (CarPlay) is controlled with a Command Dial rather than touch screen. It would be very helpful if the active Icon was highlighted to make it more apparent which Icon is active as the Dial is turned. The hardest to see is the Yellow Triangle with the plus sign. I miss that this as the active Icon many times and miss the ability to report a problem at the correct location.

Proactive Alert for Upcoming Passing Lanes / Climbing Lanes (3rd Lane)
PROPOSAL: Add a proactive voice and visual alert for upcoming passing lanes or climbing lanes (3rd lane) at 1km and 500m (e.g., "Passing lane in 500 meters").
PROBLEM: On single-lane highways, poor road signage combined with driver impatience behind slow vehicles leads to high-risk overtaking. Drivers often execute dangerous passes just meters before a dedicated 3rd lane they didn't know was ahead.
SAFETY IMPACT: Early notification shapes driver behavior. Knowing a safe overtaking opportunity is nearby reduces impatience and prevents severe head-on collisions.

Rotary control focus problems on non-touchscreen CarPlay
I use Waze in a 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio with a non-touchscreen display controlled by a rotary knob. Since a recent Waze update, confirmation overlays sometimes appear, but I cannot move focus onto their buttons to respond.
The selected icon is also difficult to identify. Some icons have a faint light-blue border, while others indicate selection differently. Please ensure that every overlay button is reachable with a rotary controller and use a consistent, high-contrast focus indicator throughout Waze on non-touchscreen systems.

why is waze not more ai active
why are not making the ap more ai active ? when i log in for my travel to and from work it needs to be more active in voicing your route is clear, has traffic do you wish to reroute? construction areas, weather good or bad, and keep the same route each time going to a from work, why would i change if there is nothing blocking my route ? my work routing is not be save in memory, it keeps trying to adjust to make it quicker which i do not need.. how soon before this can be implemented…

אני משתמש בגרסה העדכנית ביותר. מבקש שבאופן קבוע האפליקציה תציע חניונים בקרבת היעד. או שתאפשר למשמש בכל שלב לפני היציאה לדרך ליזום חיפוש חניונים בקרבת היעד. הדבר משמעותי באופן כללי, ובפרט כאשר היעד נמצא בתוך עיר צפופה. לצערי בעניין זה האפליקציה לא פועלת באופן עקבי. אלא לעיתים מציעה חניונים בקרבת היעד ולעיתים לא. ולא ראיתי אפשרות עבור המשתמש ליזום חיפוש חניונים קרובים לפני היציאה לדרך. כך שמבחינת חוויית המשתמש, הניווט הכל כך משובח בדרך אל היעד עומד בסתירה לתסכול גדול אם בסוף הנסיעיה אין מקום הולם להחנות בו את הרכב בקרבת היעד.

Automate Far Lanes
Given mutiple (2 or more) turn or continue straight lanes (road width) at point X, with a turn upcoming within 1/2 mile (suggested) at point Y, Waze should automate the recommended turn lane at point X. At least initially, this feature should be able to be over-ridden by editors and the feature should not overwrite any existing far lane or junction box configurations.

Change the reporting icon to the left on driver side of the screen
It would be very helpful if the report icon on my Android auto screen we're on the driver side . I appreciate the voice feature now in place. However, I have to reach to the passenger side of my screen to press the button to start by voice chat. I think it would be much safer if that icon were on the driver side of the screen.
Anyone agree?
I also agree with other post I've seen about switching the speed limit and the time to destination to the opposite side of each other.2 votes -
Bring back Paddington!
Paddington was the best and most enjoyable voice on Waze! Even if we knew the way, we'd still turn Waze on to listen to Paddington talk and direct us. No other voice makes driving as enjoyable as Paddington's did.

Waze not reporting police, vehicles on side of road, etc
I have taken three trips in the last month with at least 300 miles each way. Not even once has Waze alerted me of police, road hazards, etc on any leg of travel. Tried uninstall/reinstall the app to no avail.

Different placement area for Alerts
I am AuDHD. Crazy changes in the app, during navigation, can be severally overwhelming. That is already a Waze factor and separate known bug. But in the meantime, ALL alerts (speedbumps, hazards, police, blockages, ALL OF THEM) appear right on top of the navigation instructions. I have tons crumble to close the alert, often not even being to acknowledge the alert itself, because I have a turn coming up and miss it often enough because I can't get the alert closed. Lumping "FIRE" into "hazards" is dangerous
A hazard can be a tire or object in the road or any number of things, but when, "Fire" is reported, that is NOT just a hazard but an emergency! Not sure if there is a connection between waze and emergency services but, "FIRE!" (Or person or animal in the road and plenty of other types) should definitely be in its ownreporting category.

Dangerous pop ups
There are pop ups mid journey to advertise the voice reporting that I cannot stop without accepting this feature. This is dangerous for motorcyclists. I can't remove the pop up without stopping, removing gloves, clicking the button, and restarting. Absolutely infuriating every time, and incredibly dangerous (even for car drivers, you are forcing them to interact with the phone whist driving, utterly insane)

Suggestion:
The speed limit icon on the HUD is currently too small and difficult to read at a glance relative to the current driving speed. Please consider adding an option to resize, scale up, or customize the speed limit badge display in the app UI. Increasing its visual target value and font size will significantly improve perception-response time and driver safety at higher speeds.3 votes -
