waze whats near me
Add "Whats Near Me?" function to the app.
Add an option to find Places in WME "near me" on the map in the Waze App. Instead of searching for fast food or fashion and clothing, just allow us to find the closest 10 places to our current location. would allow for users to update existing places on the editor, add photos, and various other things. Add arrive button
Sometimes when arriving at very large places, Waze thinks that you arrive only when you are in the front door of the place. Think for example in a mall, the parking lot will be huge, but Waze already traced the route until the front door.
An "arrive" button will help Waze to understand that you are already at your destination and there is no need to recalculate the route while you are looking for a parking spot6 votes -

Police
Police alerts are helpful in many ways, the one thing that would help a bit more is if along with the alert there should be an indication of how much time has passed since the alert was posted. This feature is already available but only if you tap on an upcoming police alert icon in which you will see for example 10min ago on the top right corner, but it does not show in the alert that pops up as you drive....... Unless it is a construction site police are rarely in one spot for very long...... I feel that…

Change "Pedestrian Boardwalk" to "Pedestrian Walkway"
English WME should change "pedestrian boardwalk" to "pedestrian walkway". This attribute is used for pathways that are pedestrian-only, but most are not technically "boardwalks" (i.e. wooden walking paths).

Add 2 min per turn
When the software is calculating route times to determine fastest route, consider artificially adding 2 min per road change to prevent crazy use of on/off ramps or side streets which save only 30 sec of traffic. A road change doesn't actually take 2min, but it's a hassle and increases accident risk, so it should save at least that much to be worthwhile. It could be a "setting" to add 0,1,or 2 min per turn. Perhaps even 3 min per left and 1 min per right.

I'd just like to offer some feedback I think would get a lot more people using the app from Google Maps.
When using Google maps and you say "Navigate Home" or press navigate (mainly when in the Uber app, just as an example) it opens the Google Maps app, calculates the directions and then just goes. You don't have to take your eyes off the road to press go.
When using Waze you have to wait for the app to open, calculate directions and then press go. (Why press go? If it's something I can't think of then maybe…1 vote -

Facebook Connect to connect with friends does not work.
Why does Windows have a Facebook connect with friends option when it does nothing but goes back to the main navigation screen? Lame...

Partner with Self-Driving Car Manufacturer
Partner with Google, or another self-driving car manufacturer, and put Waze in ever car. If the Community already knows where everyone is, when they leave, how fast they're going, etc. Waze could automate traffic and avoid traffic jams

Pronunciation of close
Can you change the pronunciation of close from Klos which is duff, and we are moving to a street name ending in close and it will drive me nuts :)

Taxis vagyok budapesten, az önök által preferált térképet használom. Sajnos térkép hibáiból eredően hatalmas károm származik. Jelen pillanatban taxis társaság fegyelmi eljárás eszközön ellenem. Mivel hatalmas kerülő kell érkezzen a címre és utasai már hatalmas kerülővel érkezem meg célponthoz. Sajnos nagyon komoly kártérítés elé nézhetek taxis társaságom felé és az utolsók felé. Térkép tervezése hatalmas kerülő kell tervezi meg és az ismeretlen helyen vagyok kénytelen vagyok követni. Éjszaka dolgozom azt sem lehet mondani forgalmi dugó miatt tervez kerülök kell. Favela maps in Brazil
Favelas, in Brazil, should be mapped in Waze and users alerted everytime that a proposed traject would enter in one. From a quick search in local
Social Media, you can find history about assaults, robbery, thefts and even murders of waze users that inadvertently followed waze in the middle of a Favela.
Some police offices in Brazil already calls it "the waze victims". And, I'm hearing more and more people complaining about this issue. Yesterday, I almost entered in a Favela following Waze instructions and I can understand what people was talking about...Hope this can help to save lifes.

The waze is connected to the car's security system, every time the airbag is activated it triggers a call to other users to know the location and to activate the emergency service.

During navigation, have options to alert on the map about demands of cities, holes, public lighting off, garbage, water leak. etc. The public bodies will have access to the demands reported by the people.

Remove my neighborhood from your map. You have made traffic in my neighborhood hellish with cut through traffic.
Your app has made it impossible for residents to get out of the neighborhood during evening rush hour. Cars are now backed up 50 deep at a stop sign in our subdivision some days making it impossible for people to get out of their driveways. It is hideous.
