  1. Add a "police are nearby" feature

    Police move frequently. It would be. Nice to know if police were spotted near an area; not necessarily at a specific location. Thanks!

  2. Abbility to report start & end of SPECS.

    SPECS cameras operate as sets of two or more cameras installed along a fixed route that can be from 200 metres (660 feet) to 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) in length.[3] They work by using an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system to record a vehicle's front number plate at each fixed camera site. As the distance is known between these sites, the average speed can be calculated by dividing this by the time taken to travel between two points.[4] The cameras use infrared photography, allowing them to operate both day and night.

    Bring back the old Option to share my Drive on Facebook.
    It was easy and funny to share in Facebook by tap on the facebook logo.

  4. Create shortcut to go to location and alert user of journey (replicate Glympse functionality)

    I have noticed that Waze now offers location sharing. I would like for it to completely replace my need for running Glympse in tandem. Ideally, if I could have a shortcut icon on my phone home screen that started navigation to "Home", and shared my location with my wife, this would be great. Many thanks.

  5. let us post traffic, hazards, & police after we have reached our point limit. its about safety not points.

    Need to be able to add hazerds, traffic, & police after we reach our point limit. more than once i have posted my limit only to top the hill and their be an accident or a car broke down in the road and i am not able to post it. I am not after extra points im after the safety and being able to let people know to find a better route because the road is obstructed. you know once someone has reached their points and they still post that it is a lagitamit problem and not someone trying to…

  6. road ahead preview button

    I would like to have an on map button which, on hold or on press, will zoom out the map to show the entire route ahead.
    Releasing or pressing again will go back to regular nav mode.
    This is great for getting a sense of the route and not having to be constantly alert to input from the client (visual or auditory).

  7. WAZE should allow user to change Traffic Jam status to none

    I have driven past & through areas that show traffic slowdowns/jams on WAZE but the traffic is flowing fine. I can find nowhere in WAZE to delete the Traffic Jam problem or change the status to NO slowdown like I can when Hazard or Police is no longer there.

  8. ETA for Next Road

    I like the idea of being able to see my overall ETA, but it would be cool if I could also see my ETA to my next road. Kinda breaks long commutes into chunks.

  9. Improve starting voice directions

    When setting off from a parking lot I find wave does not give directions left or right when exiting the parking lot. A lot of times I'm left guessing, or having to study the map. It's almost like wave has no idea where it is!

    Once you've made the turn its gets on track.

  11. Miscellaneous Suggestions - Reporting Items Not There and Hazards

    I would suggest having the ability to select reports and mark them as not there. For instance, oncoming traffic reports of speed traps or traffic that have since cleared up but not timed out.

    Also reporting a road hazard of disabled vehicle on the road. Currently there's vehicle on shoulder and you can report an accident on the road. We should be able to note a disabled vehicle blocking one lane.

    Lastly there should be the ability to note in an accident if it's affecting both sides (when EMS responds from both directions and closes lanes), when the road is…

  12. Alert: Excessive traffic deceleration.

    Irrespective of cause, unusually great deceleration of one vehicle is a hazard for the vehicles behind - at least on highways with average speed above that of city traffic.
    Real-time alerts from the Waze system via our community of users may offer a unique opportunity to prevent (or reduce injuries and damage of) highway mass crashes.

    Various alerting criteria may be used e.g:
    Client accelerometers (or GPS-speed time derivatives) indicating a deceleration greater than, say, the 80th percentile for that road (segment) or average speed level - established by Waze server statistics.

  14. Faster Voice Navigation Cadence

    She speaks much slower than, say, Google Maps navigation. Speeding the prompts' delivery minimizes interruptions to other audio you might be listening to.

This will let you mark the position at the moment needed and then identify the hazard or type of report when it is safe to do so after the fact. I always feel like I'm rushed and distracted trying to get the position marked and identified in time.

  19. Self accident(by impact) detection and reporting automaticaly

    Some(maybe many) lives could be saved if Waze could detect accident situation with its user.

    It would listen to phone's accelerometer and after huge amplitude of indices form phone accelerometer and rapid, complete stop/non acceleration for about minute, it could ask user/driver for response.

    If driver is not responding on phones flashing/signaling/dialog on screen, then big chance that driver is in trouble and Waze could send signal of SOS to closest users and even to local administrators to check out situation. Maybe this feature could be used by local 911/112 as well. If not for immediate rescue then for locating…

  20. Level of guidance option

    I would like a new low setting for "level of guidance" under sound settings. I wish I could set it to a two stage tone notifications. Such as one ding x amount of feet before the turn and then a double ding immediately before the turn.

    I find that the verbal instructions can be more than necessary in more familiar areas.
