Follow friend.
Sometimes share one trip more cars (users). For example Business trip or holiday etc. it means two or more cars with the same destination. One of them knows WHERE to go (where is destination) and the others follow him. One car is the leader. In this case could be very useful to add feature called "Follow friend". In MENU where are Friends, add this feature (click on name of leading user and choose "Follow friend") and when the leading user accepts the request, he becomes as a "Moving destination" for user (users) who asked him. The other use of this feature is "Follow ME" when leading user invites friend (friends) to follow him. When friend(s) accept it, they can follow him.

Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year. We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted.

waze 3.5 almost replaces glympse, Truck R! :)
track buddy, like friends without "social" network also benefits from. waze XMPP server
pubsub track buddy
do, however, allow waze Jabber ID to differ from waze username. to mix it up like nicknames implement alias XEP

please do NOT request Account Tokens permission on android. Trolling my contacts to compare with waze online database is very not acceptable.
(glympse works perfectly well •without• account registration)

combine: waze & API or plug-ins & http://glympse.com
or integrate glympse as waze has done with yelp.

Useless eh?
A more mature version of this is now planned
Remain silent, feckless
It OUGHT NEITHER require social datamining or gmail on android
Social location is the new hot widget.
Glympse does this well.. once excessive permissions are cracked ;)
"Where's everyone" for android has a brilliant no registration approach: tagging

Yes, like Glympse... Right now I'm torn between Glympse and Waze, when traveling home in the evening. Its nice for my wife to know my ETA. Since both are fairly large battery hogs, I can't imagine trying to keep both going at the same time.

MUST NOT require the folly of social networking.

This feature is available with Google Latitude, and is the only reason I still use that application for travelling, so my family can see my current location. It would be awesome to incorporate this into Waze, it would remove the only reason I don't use Waze more.

Location Sharing
Allow real-time location sharing using the WAZE application. Something that would allow you to send an email with a map link to a “non-WAZE” user and allow them to track your location. -

Ability to be buddies with other wazers, and track them. If they want to have a multiple car roadtrip, they would always be able to find eachother
