With the success of Wazers and editors gathering speed limit data. We should keep it rolling and bring the truck and RV community in with adding bridge height clearance info. Additionally allow users to set a height restriction on their app. Preventing routing under low clearance bridges.

i drive i ny and other states that do not allow trailers or trucks on certain roads.
i have a 10’ tall boat trailer set up. definitely only allowed on truck routes

I expect that the streetview cameras already capture Speed limits that are integrated into the Maps, it shouldn't be hard to them to capture bridge clearances and add that to the routing engine.

I like Waze a lot. I am always using Waze while driving my car. I would love to use Waze if there is truck route option when I drive my semi-truck.

I agree, an option to allow routing to take into account weight, height and length of the vehicle in use would be very popular.

Waze is the best navigation app I've come across so far. However, I'm a truck driver. Is it possible to make the app truck route friendly?

Some days ago I was driving an ambulance, luckily out of service. Waze suggested me (bringing me some km far from my road) to take a road which ended with a small gallery (1,90 m high). I lost 20 mins for this reason. In emergency it could be dangerous. I suggest a "van" (or "truck") mode, to let the app know that I'm taller than 1,90m!!

Develop an app for farmers to use when they are moving large overwidth slow equipment down the road. Location and speed could be uploaded from farmers phone alerting traffic within waze. Waze could reroute traffic around or alert as to slow down when approaching. Similar to a road hazard.

Would it be possible to get a vehicle classification option? (Bike, Car, Van, 7.5t, 18t, 32t)

For instance, I drive our delivery van all over the country (UK) and Europe, but I can’t access certain areas because I am commercial van. For example, I can’t drive past Buckingham Palace or through Regent’s Park, Hyde Park… etc. There are also weight restrictions on certain bridges even for vans.

I know there would be a lot more restrictions for even larger vehicles, so I think this would be a great touch to an already awesome app!

For me it would be great, to have Truck navigation option. I drive a bus and I cant drive as fast as passengers cars on highway, ETA in Wazw is always later, than Waze says.

WE use Waze all of the time....but cannot use for tractor-trailer driving. I would pay for that!!
