    We plan to work on the 3d map in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

    There should be an (optional) North pointer shown on a the 3d map.
    in areas where I am not really familiar with the road layout, knowing which direction I'm going is useful
