Please, give us an option for caravan, camping-car and big véhicule, to have large and cool road !!!!
I have a big old caravan, ad sometimes, road are not ridding easy with it.
It's possible to have an option like motorway or not, for ridding cool and secure with big and large truck, caravan or camping-car?
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

I love Waze and the concept behind it, but I'm driving a van and very often I'd love to have the road given on the dimensions of my car. We van users are part of the community too

This would allow you to capture a large portion of an in captured market. Height and weight restricted roads are a HAZARD to motor homes and RVs. To be able to have real-time suggestions to avoiding hazards that do not apply to a standard car would be awesome!

Add vehicle option to include RVs (Recreational Vehicles) including width, height and weight. I realize this is a longterm goal but one that is needed. I am based in the US, a member of several RV Clubs and Groups including the Escapees RV Club, FMCA and Airstream with over 150,000 members, President of a regional RV group with over 50,000 members. I always promote WAZE as a navigation app with the caveat that the app does not include height, width or weight allowances. If we can move forward with this suggestion, I will be willing to assist by writing articles for national rv club magazines and solicit the help of the rv community which is in the millions.

Heavy Good Vehicles - HGV. It would be great if WAZE could incorporate these vehicles. I find WAZE very useful and helpful and would use all the time if larger vehicles could be added to the App. Keep up the good work. Can we make a donation via PayPal?

It would be amazing to be able to use Waze for a motorhome. Waze could then ask for our dimensions and then only choose routes that we can fit our motorhome . Instead we get sent down a track that a toddlers trike couldn't fit.

I always use waze but if I tow our camper I have to change to Sygic. It´s nice to get a correct ETA and to avoid low Bridges and small Streets. I always check the Apps with a route to a place in France where may campers have to return because of a low bridge. If I get the correct route with this app I can trust the system.

There should be an option for trucks to input that they are driving a truck

Poderiam incluir tipo de veículo tipo carro/caminhão/ moto e seus respectivos tempos de viagem. O mais interessante seria a de veículos pesados, mais utilizados.

Yo Ella,
Why are you shutting down all the good ideas while saying you'll consider adding more voices?
Did all the coders at waze quit except the guy working on voices? -

This has my full support, as I use a separate device for this purpose. I would note an exception however, I believe WA is the only State which legally dictates a lower towing speed. Accordingly, those choosing to drive slower would be seeking some additional, non-navigational, coding which they could use to replace their maximum Hwy speed for calculating destination time.

Ability to add customised vehicles with limited top speed in order to have travel time to destination calculated correctly on that basis rather than the allowable top speeds along the route. Example: Travel time for a passenger car would be based on the allowable 50 km/h on urban streets and 130 km/h on motorways. However, when travelling with a caravan or a truck, one would perhaps want to limit his speed to 80km/h on motorways. Thus, 50 km/h would apply for all urban streets, but anything above 80 km/h would be limited to 80 km/h, which will result in a correct time to destination / arrival time.

Merci.

Today many travel with bigger motorhomes / Gooseneck Trailers etc. Not a category for big trucks or lorrys, but well over 3.5 ton combination. There is many restricted bridges / roads to max 3.5 ton. Waze keep on telling me to follow a road after I've passed a sign " 3.5 ton max total weight " Couldn't there be a setting option in vehicle to car with boat trailer, caravan or bigger motorhome for to avoid this very annoying problem. Google map have the same issue, be first with this future and get all bigger combo users over . Kind Regards Peter

Add routes that trucks of certain length, weight and height can go on. As trucks can’t drive on every road that a car can, with certain roads or bridges and tunnels having restrictions. It’ll allow for less congestion and accidents happening when the truck is able to go a more desirable route

I'm a truck driver, and there's a lot of roads I simply can't take in my truck. It would be excellent to have a vehicle type for Large Vehicles that avoids unsuitable roads.
This idea would require a lot of implementation and a lot of users adding data to the map. Map data required would be:
- Load / weight limits: Ability to mark a road as an unsuitable route for vehicles over a certain weight (i.e. 10 ton load limit, as many roads in my area are signposted) unless that road MUST be driven to reach the destination. This could also be used to set bridge load limits.
- Length limits: Some roads in my area are restricted to vehicles under a certain length (i.e. vehicles under 10m only) and cannot be driven on in larger vehicles, unless that road is unavoidable to reach the destination.
- Height limits: There are many low bridges in my area, and the ability to mark a place on a road as low clearance (i.e. 3.4m ) which must NOT be passed by a vehicle of greater height, would be excellent. The vehicle selector would also need a new vehicle added. The "Large vehicle" selection would ideally have parameters you can set, these would be:
- Weight
- Length
- Height
- Speed limit
The first three items would be used to avoid roads with lower weight, length, or height limits than the vehicle (i.e. an 8 ton truck would still be allowed on a 10 ton limited road but a 16 ton truck would be given a different route)
The fourth item would be used to adjust ETAs and modify the speed limit display. This would ideally be customisable; In my country, vehicles over 4.5 ton are limited to 100km/h, with some larger trucks limited to 90. Cranes are generally limited to 80.Additionally, rest areas could be marked with length or weight limits (Or simply marked "Truck Friendly" or "Truck Parking Available" to allow truck, caravan and RV drivers to plan suitable rest stops.
The addition of Heavy Vehicle Inspection Stations (both permanent and temporary - reportable) would be beneficial, but not essential.
The implementation of the vehicle type would in theory be fairly easy; the difficult and time consuming part will be gathering the user data for length, height and weight limits. I would suggest marking this feature as Beta until substantial data has been added by users.
Even in Beta this would be useful: A route that avoids some unsuitable roads is still better than a route that doesn't avoid any unsuitable roads.
