Bring back opposite lane reporting
Why on earth was opposite direction reporting removed? I could get quite sarcastic right now, but it's too early..
Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

i've found a few feature requests related to this but the idea of this request goes beyond the scope of the subject line. Since the 4.x upgrade on iOS removing the ability to report events on the other side of the road, waze has become completely WORTHLESS. However, THEY ARE PUNISHING those of us who have NOT UPGRADED by not giving us our points for driving and reporting events even though other users can see them and thank us for them. Recently, before i downgraded back to 3.9.x, I was driving and noticed and accident and traffic completely stopped on the other side of the road. I was not able to alert other wazers to the situation because the option was removed from the new 4.x version. There were other wazers en route to that area but none there at the time so i was not able to help them because i was on the current 4.x version. Until it is restored, or they at lest restore our points, i'm staying on v3.9 so I can help other wazers (which used to be the purpose of this app) and will be getting my points through WME.

It's important to identify which side of the road I'm reporting a Hazard on so the correct lane gets the report. Your instructions on this website says that after you select ANY report that I'm supposed to specify which side of the road it's on. HOWEVER, that app does NOT have that option for Hazards NOR Traffic Jams! PLEASE add it for ALL reports like your instruction suggests/requires.

It was always helpful to know where there was a hazard, and it didn't matter which direction the poster was travelling.

Its often possible for drivers to observe a situation on the OPPOSITE direction of their road/highway. Therefore it should be possible to edit such events ( remove an accident or A police car that is no longer there for example )

My route is too cluttered with icons and warnings of traffic going the opposite way. I only need to see the events going in the direction i'm navigating. visually the map is too cluttered to see how my route looks.

If I am travelling north on a road, I can see what is happening south. So if I can report an accident in the opposite direction, I can really help people travelling on that road well before they get to it. They can know exactly where the trouble is.

I get every option to report a cop: hidden/visible, left/right side of road, etc. But, there is no option to report a moving cop. I believe this would be great if we could report a moving cop that is passing you (as in on the other side of the road going the opposite way), or is on your side of the road traveling the same way and same speed and/or going slower/faster than you.
There would be so many more people who could be saved/warned by adding this feature! -

Often times police hide where you can't see them when passing by, however the people traveling in the opposite direction can see them plainly. We need to be able to report that they are on the other side (opposite of my direction of travel) so as to warn the people coming in that direction that they are approaching a hidden police.

This already exists. See lower left corner of reporting box.

The current default assumption is that all reports are in the lane I am traveling in. Often I see issues across the median, reporting them makes them appear incorrectly in my lane. It would be nice to have an "Opposite Lane" option (i.e. bottom buttons are my lane, top buttons are opposite lane)

For example, you are driving north on a freeway and see an accident on the southbound lane, then you should be able to report it so that those who are heading south receive information as early as possible, and can change route

In the UK we have speed cameras that can be rotated to face two different directions. If I report a speed cam, it appears on the map facing the direction of travel. However, the next day the camera may have been turned to face the other direction, in which case the report of the camera is incorrect. It is possible to create another camera report for the opposite direction, but it then appears on the wrong side of the road!
Can we have the option to report a 'two way camera'.
