Time zone adjustment
Waze should adjust ETA to the local time when destination is a different time zone. When you leave Phoenix for southwest CO, for example, the ETA should be in mountain time, not AZ time. Currently, the ETA only adjusts when your phone automatically adjusts as you cross the time zone. It would be nice to know drive time is 6 hours, but ETA is 7 hours due to time change.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted.
Thanks!

Having made many, many, trips across time zones. it is really frustrating to have to mentally adjust the ETA to the destination time zone.
Going from Chattanooga to Kansas City is tolerable, because the line is just west of Chattanooga, and I'm subtracting an hour. Going from Kansas City to Chattanooga is a different story. I have to keep mentally adding an hour to my ETA on an already long trip (14 hours, including stops), and I don't hit Eastern time until about an hour before I reach my destination.
I have made other trips across other time zones, and west to east is especially frustrating because it has the mental effect of "lengthening" the trip. Please have the ETA match local time at the destination! (Airlines do it all the time.)
Thanks!
Kathy

It was a great idea a decade ago and remains so to this day.

I was quite surprised when this first surfaced on a trip I took that crossed time zones. I thought this would have been a given on an app that allows you to schedule when you want to arrive somewhere. It is time to bring this forward as a necessary improvement.

This is pushing 11 years old and has well over 1100 votes. I'd respectfully submit that the community feels it would be a valuable feature.

I'm planning a route with a specified arrival time, but the website doesn't seem to account for time zone changes... Seems like an easy fix to adjust departure time and/or highlight the time zone change.

I almost missed a funeral because I had to drive an hour across mountain time zones I wasn't aware of, and set my leave time based on a selected "arrive" time which was bogus. It's 2025 with now fix on a long standing feature

I live near a time zone boundary and the major city is on the other side of it. This is so annoying. Please fix this.

On a roadtrip that crosses time zones. “Hey bro, Waze says I’ll be there for dinner at 6:00…”. Nope.

Airlines do it. Waze should too.

Waze is the only navigation app I use that has this issue. It is so frustrating when getting an ETA and sharing it with friends or family then crossing the state line and being off by an hour for our dinner plans. Its 2025, my car can drive itself.. why can't Waze add or subtract 1 hour from an ETA display.

Bonjour , il serait interessant que les heures d’arrivée tienne compte du décalage horaire concernant le point d’arrivée

The ETA should show the time for the Time Zone you are arriving. My car navigation does this, Apple Maps does this, the Airline reservation systems do this. It should be a no brainer.
FIX IT or get AI to do it.

Arrival time should be the time you arrive with the adjusted time. It’s ridiculous if it says you’ll arrive at 5pm when you’re driving and then all of a sudden when you cross the time zone it adds or deletes an hour. Please change this. I’ve given inaccurate time to people because of this. Arrival time should be arrival time in the location you’re going.

Seems such a simple update - even just listing this in the ETA as "time at destination"
But I agree, over 3 years that this has been out-there

This is pretty lame that we still don't have support for time zones.

Now 3 years later and it still hasn’t been implemented?

I am a advid waze user and promoter... I always tell people to use waze when your going anywhere. It is a better platform than Google maps in most ways. However as of June 2025 this is still a problem when you tell your employer, customer, family, ect... what time you will be arriving and then you are late or early by an hour because in 2025, after many votes to add this feature that all other maps have had for years it still gives you the wrong time. Seriously if your customers opinions are worth nothing after years of being asked to add this me and my family will been starting to use another navigation app. For goodness sakes my 100 dollar amazon head unit built in navigation even does this. Smh

Did you forget or was this just a lazy excuse? Do better!! For someone who travels for work this is critical!! It’s June of 2025.
Get it together! This is a navigation App & it should be standard. You have had plenty of time to implement this. -

Still need this. It can’t be that hard.
