Weather overlay
I would love to have a real time weather overlay on the WAZE maps. This would be a GREAT feature to add to aid in knowing more about driving conditions. Please vote and let's see what we can do to make it happen.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Great idea! Waze was founded in Mediterranean latitudes where this is hardly ever an issue. (I am a geography professional, read up on Wikipedia if this confuses you.) However, in the northern USA, during winter months, the sun is often at a very low angle most of the morning, especially during the winter when days are shorter. Moreover, with typically wet winter days, the road surface reflects the low angled sun, further blinding drivers. Definitely add this hazard to Waze, as it causes massive slowdowns on my area.

waze ought provide a block of buttons for reporting
• typical hazards for locality
as I'll never need to report a tornado or snow whereas you might never report fog or hail

I would like "high winds" as an option...they are frequently a problem in my area. Sometimes the gusts will push your car into the next lane! And they can be a real problem if you have a high profile vehicle or a motorcycle.

In Report/Danger/weather, it would be nice to be able to report low standing sun. Where i drive, low standing sun is a big problem and causes quite big impact in the traffic

In nortern Europe (and of course on other places where it is snow in winter) we every winter got a lot of snow. Also got frozen roads after rain. It could be very useful to warn other wazers if i'm driving on a slippery road to avoid accidents

Any chance you guys can add Wind as a hazard? Was driving on Hwy 152, and felt my car was about to take off.
Also, I think sleet would be good add as well. Thank you.

I use the Severn bridges which suffer as a result of high winds, so would be useful to be able to report this to other Waze users.

Add "Sun Glare" as a Hazard

Please consider the addition of:
- Blowing Dust
- High Winds/CrosswindsBlowing dust is a dangerous hazard in arid Desert locales across the Western US as well as other Desert locales around the world. Major accidents and Interstate/roadway closures often result because of poor visibility due to blowing dust. Please consider adding this as a report-able hazard!

great idea! and then have the alert/hazard 'decay' over 30 mins since the sun glare should be gone by then. I wanted to post sun glare yesterday as i could barely see the road on commute home!

information about the temperature in the area based on the GPS and automatic weather warnings based on sites such as weather.com (eg, warning of ice, fog, snow, very hot, etc.)

It may be useful to show the weather conditions with an appropriate icon instead of the yellow triangle.
Furthermore, the user could add the temperature. -

In the hazard list under weather add Sun Glare!
