Please provide an option to turn off the "car stopped on shoulder" warning.
This is the most common warning yet doing nothing more than distracting. People stop on shoulders for few minutes all the time so why do I need to care unless I am planning to drive on the shoulder?? Turning off road hazards does not help.
Great news! The option to filter the kinds of alert you would like to get is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

Yes, it is pointless to know who stopped on shoulder. Moreover, red light cameras are useless too, since no matter what, you have to obey traffic signals with cameras and without them,

Get it done Waze. It won't clutter up the interface, but it will make the app far less aggravating to use. That alert is just abused by folks farming points and is seldom useful as most of the time the vehicles are well off the side of the road. I get the intent, but it isn't worth the trouble it has caused.
Actually, let's take it a step further and get rid of the "vehicle stopped on shoulder" alert completely.

My 100% support for this as well. I have been pushing for it for years. Let's get everyone we know who uses Waze to up vote this one and push it to page 1 of the top requested features.

WAZE. Can I please add all 100 of my votes to this feature request? Adding another audio option like custom alongside alerts only would be the best fix. You could then select exactly what alerts you want. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to post this idea, but I see someone else, or in this case a lot of other people already agree with me. Get it done, Waze!

I concur, please allow this notification to be disabled if desired. Very annoying!

Though it was just me, but I too live in a large Metropolis (DC) and this is a really annoying feature. Please give us a setting to shut this off. There are so many some times that I cant tell there is a real accident ahead. Im not driving on the shoulder of the road.

Obviously some people like the warning, so just give us the option of turning it off. I, for one, hate it since it caused me to miss a very relevant warning because I turned off the sound due to the "vehicle stopped on shoulder" alerts I was getting every two minutes.

This is truly driving me crazy. Please make this an option for us. Living in Los Angeles vehicles are always stopped on the shoulder. I would really really appreciate the ability to turn this off. Thanks for all your hard work

Omg please!!! In Los Angeles there are a million of these and I don't care if a semi is parked on a shoulder 50 feet away from the road. That's not a hazard!!!

Jeff, while you are correct and I see your point the request here is not to disable this alert entirely, it's to add the option to mute it. I am a commercial driver and don't mind it during your situation you mentioned. But if I'm in my personal car in the carpool/fast lane for 3 hours the last thing I want to hear 71 times is about a car parked on the other side of the 7 lane highway. It's the boy that cried wolf story. I'll end up ignoring the useless alerts and maybe the next one will be vehicle stopped in my lane!

Jeff, what a bunch of BS. I bet you one of those who keep reporting and distracting the rest of us. I sure hope we don't share the same road when you panicky change lanes every time your waze is reporting a car stopped on shoulder... Sigh!!!

To ALL of you who complain about this. Take a CDL class and become a MORE attentive driver.

Incase you didn't know..... Most states have a law that indicates ANY vehicles on the shoulder needs to be given extra attention and you MUST move to the next lane over or slow down. This is why you see semi driver's constantly changing lanes (for no apparent reason).

still no solution to this :( ?

A sure way to fix this problem is to abuse the system. Report car stopped on shoulder every 100 feet. If bunch of wazers do that waze will take notice and fix this annoying issue.

Why? Are you driving on shoulder at night? This request is to provide an *option* for those of us who do not want to be distracted with nonsense warnings. Those who like to be distracted with nonsense warnings do not need to turn off the warning. But bottom line, we can complain as much as we want on this forum. It wouldn't make a difference. Waze are too arrogant to even read our comments.

Its actually one of the best features especially at night. If the car is no longer there just update it.
