   Display duration for each notification is directly dependent on number of upvotes and ‘not there’s. The more upvotes a report has, the longer it is displayed on the map and vice versa.

    This properly implemented will silence the SPECIOUS claims in forum https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=126370&p=1016343#p1016343 ..

    The BASELESS claim is sheriff saferty.

    The OBVIOUS issue is reduction of "city revenue".

    Prior waze iterations had user created groups. Popular among them were a set of "SpeedTrapSpotting" geographically started by one well traveled user. Nearly quoting:

    Speed has nothing to do with safety else 15mph, and nothing to do with efficiency else 88mph.

    Reckless driving and Exceeding the speed limit are self evidently NOT synonymous
