Night Mode on all User Interface Elements
When you're in Night Mode the map is, essentially, reversed in color; light things are dark, dark things are light. This is not true for any of the other user interface elements. Search, popups, reporting... all are very bright and very distracting. These interfaces should also be reversed, that is, dark grey backgrounds with light gray text.

Agree, especially annoying during night drive.
Would be good to consider work on that together with <Option to keep "battery saver" always on> request:

If you're going to do this, please allow the full UI to go black, including the Android control button bar (back, home, tab/recently app) as it's currently forcing white when I've set black the phone default.

Popups are really blinding while driving at night in night mode !
I would even call this a “safety hazard” and this issue should get a higher priority. -

This is one of the most important ideas out there. It may not have a huge amount of votes yet, but one bright popup at 4AM on my way to work is enough to blind me, even with brightness on my device down to 10. This is a VERY easy fix, please, get it done ASAP.

Very sensible suggestion!

So, the other night I had a Taco Bell ad pop up while I was driving... it was like someone suddenly shining a flashlight in my eyes while I was making a turn. This really needs to change. If not for any reason other than liability.
