Eliminate the middle man, create an app feature to connect drivers and passengers without the middle man like (uber,lyft) those companies are making millions off the back of hard working drivers, be the first to create an app that is purely a connection between driver and passenger no middle man, this will destroy UBER and would be best for everyone, more money for the drivers and cheaper for the passengers. Take out their 25% fee and take them out of the market since they are greedy bastards anyway.

I have had an idea for over 2 years now using waze and seeing how it works , I may not get a email reply but I felt I would love to share my idea with you to just push myself , to see if you like my concept

I work in a cab office 12 hours a day , and knowing the company uber on the market , I have always felt that there systems are quite basic on the scale of how drivers and passengers see the vehicles or how the driver sees the passenger , I feel that waze can build a system such as a uber app with a built in navigation that yourself do to make it the number 1 cab app in the world using the waze icons to be the passenger or the driver or etc with my ideas and with your expertise I feel we could make a huge platform to make a huge demand in the market and compete with uber itself

Auto re-routing that your app does and also to provide an ease and simplicity to the passenger and also to the driver to charge them less but to grow the buisness more , to give rides were you can double up passengers so you can cut the price for a car or on Valentine's Day have the app find a potential date inside the vehicle , " it's upto to you if you walk away with them" the ideas I have I would love for us to work together , yes I am not very rich to spend money in the buisness but I can defiantly spend time to make it work

Waze could easily set up true ride sharing, with which users could opt-in to post planned trips in advance and allow other carpool club members to ask for rides. With its knowledge of millions of trips, Waze could enable carpooling at a great scale and significantly cut the number of cars on the road / emissions.

It would be great to couple waze with a carpooling app (short and long distance).

A driver, who agrees to give people a ride (for free or not), takes a ride from point A to point B. His route is calculated and defined by the GPS. Then a person living close to the route willing to travel towards B would receive a notification and could join the drivers' route.

This would probably reduce the traffic jams around cities in peak hours.

Add a hitchhiking option to the interactive map of Waze would stimulate people to hitchhike and allow drivers to help them.
Waze could create a "hitchhiking" character carrying a sign with his direction on it to inform other users about his location and destination.
This new function would be valuable socially, ethically and ecologically.

Create a "Ride Share Mode" that takes you to the side of the street the person is on as well as where they are being dropped off.

I don't necessarily want to carpool all the time, but it would be nice to be able to connect with people that share my same route in case I get in a bind - car ends up in the shop, for example. I commute 40 miles and nowhere near public transportation.

Hey Im Doron, a committed user of Waze when I have a car that I borrow from my parents. But when Im out of car I mainly rely on public transportation. But sometimes in order to get to my destination(for example on weekends when there is no public transportation in Israel) I have to hitchike. Of course very few cars stop because, well, I might be a kidnapper or a terrorist or whatever. Or it is just not on their mind to pick me up.

Also as a driver sometimes I would prefer a company for long rides and especially I would like to reduce the petrol expension.

So now I proudly present to you "the hitchiker button":

Every user can check a box that says "looking for hitchikers" and if they do, Waze will find for it potential drive companions every time they set a way. Of course the hitchiker would have to submit his destination, and Waze has his location.

What's in it for you?
A.Waze will have a larger community of users because now users will depend more on waze
B. It is a green solution for the pollution of all the cars that are not necesarilly has to be on the roads.

I know it might have some legal problems like responsibility for damage or god forbid kidnapping, but I believe you can overcome it.

My idea waze app will also allow seeing where there are hitchhikers and when you click on the sign of hitchhikers Powered chat between driver and hitchhiker they can determine and find out when the driver arrives to collect them and where. I am very happy for giving me the opportunity to put the idea Ori Lev.

I use waze for cab rides as I don't own a car. It would be great to include the "find a taxi app" in waze.
