Please offer an ad-free version of Waze.
I'm pretty sick of seeing Taco Bells, Ramada Inns, and Smart Water pop up on my map. I'd pay up to $5 for a version of Waze without advertisements.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Agreed. As a map editor, it is my observation that a good number of them are incorrectly placed (there was a KFC ad around the corner from where I work that was placed on the FedEx SuperHub ramp, the nearest actual KFC is about 3-4 miles away!) and it is hard to get the advertisers or Waze staff to fix them. I wouldn't mind paying a small annual fee (hell, for the amount of time I've put in editing the map, I should just get the ad free version for free!) to do away with the ads.

Yes, please get rid of the ads on Waze! Particularly because they BLOCK MY MAP and make me a more distracted driver. This is a dangerous and stupid move. I will start using another map app if these ads don't go away.

The ads are annoying. I don't like having local businesses pop up on my screen when my attention should not be diverted away from the road more than it should. I would much rather pay a premium for the service to be able to opt out of the ads.

I don't have a problem with icons on the map, but the pop-up ads when you come to a stop have been a problem for me. There have been several situations (where I have been navigating to a location I was not familiar with) where an ad popped up when I hit a stop light and Waze never recovered. It froze for a couple of minutes and then crashed. When it finally came back up it had forgotten the route I was on and I had to search from scratch.

I'm not sure if this is what everyone is referring to, but I hate the myriad of restaurant icons (especially Dunkin Donuts in my area) covering the map and obscuring intersections and street names. I'd like to get dynamic updates on traffic and police action, but if I can't read the map, my old Garmin GPS serves me better. I don't want to get too attached to Waze, because I believe it's just a matter of time before the voice interface starts saying, "Dunkin Donuts on right in one quarter mile."
I'd like to see (and pay for) an ad-free version, but I suspect these corporations have much deeper pockets than us, so I'm not holding my breath.

Hey folks, just to point out, this isn't the kind of thing you can pay once for and it's done. Waze should institute a monthly or annual paid scheme, so as to support development and support of their product and servers. I would pay $2-5/month to support an ad-free Waze.

sorry but I don't agree on this one. I like know where dunkin donuts are on the map, however, it would be nice to be able to toggle OFF a chain that I won't go to. I always thought that it would be nice to add a Yelp like feature so I could see the "particular" type of restaurant that I like along the route I'm travelling.

Add an option to turn off ads. The ads have nothing to do with where I'm heading. I constantly have a Renault ad pop up, attempting to drive me 20 km in a different direction. In trying to turn the ad off, I've accidentally clicked on the ad, having Waze re-direct my travel and missing my turn. I had to pull over, re-input my navigation point, and find my way back to where I was going. I'd rather pay for a no-ad option than have them pop up at stops.

Yep, I'd pay up to 5 for a lifetime or maybe a dollar a year to get rid of the ads

Like many others, would gladly pay for an ad-free version of Waze. Would even do it as an in-app purchase for 6-12 months at a time. Ideally, would be a one time / lifetime ad free payment.

If people have an active Google Contributor plan they should get Waze ad-free.

Waze is useless with ad popups, they are the worst! Paid version please! Just when I was about to give Waze frequent use. The speed cameras alerts alone trump google maps navigation.

I'm not using Waze anymore until the ads go away. It's intrusive and inappropriate to see an add on a navigation app.

I'd be happy to pay a reasonable amount to remove ads from my Waze experience, both the banner ads and the featured location ads.
