Time zone adjustment
Waze should adjust ETA to the local time when destination is a different time zone. When you leave Phoenix for southwest CO, for example, the ETA should be in mountain time, not AZ time. Currently, the ETA only adjusts when your phone automatically adjusts as you cross the time zone. It would be nice to know drive time is 6 hours, but ETA is 7 hours due to time change.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted.
Thanks!

still very much needed

It's getting close to 2025 and Waze has not caught up to Google Maps on time zone adjustments

Kind of wild that in 2024 this still isn't a feature.

This can’t be that hard to implement. Waze is the only navigation service I have seen that doesn’t account for it.

That’s the difference between making a necessary appointment and not. I'm surprised you don’t account for it

It seems like a 2024 update from an admin would be warranted at some point this year.

The arrival time estimate should be in the destination time zone rather than the current one. All other mainstream map solutions account for this.

I guess google wants people to stop using Waze. LoL

This is definitely a must have for me to use Waze. I frequently travel between time zones and it only makes sense to give ETA in the destinations time zone

Zero excuse for not doing this. Just being arrogant people. Shame Google buying them has not improved customer relations.

LOL! I was searching to see if this had been fixed (it’s been a problem for YEARS and the other map apps have it) and is the main reason I refuse to use Waze. And here I find they’re like NOPE not going to do it. I reminds me after Google bought them, I suggested merging features from Google Maps and got a hateful email back saying they weren’t bought and they would continue doing their own thing. Seems that toxic culture still exists. Oh well.

Is this planned for 2024? I was late for an appointment at the VA in MI because of the time change between Central and Eastern time. Not cool 🤬

Please do this in 2024. I’m no coder but this seems like a very easy fix. Waze is owned by Google so if Google Maps can do it well I do t see why Waze can’t.
I feel like Google is doing a “catch and kill” of their former competitor.

Easy to have arrival time reflect the time zone you are arriving in!!

When planning long trips across time zones, I use Google Maps, because they show the correct time at my destination. It's easier for them to add such a small code.

This is fundamental. Who ever thought putting it in the wrong time at destination was the default way to go?!?! Make it configurable.

How about adding this to 2024?

Decided in February that this couldn’t fit into “plans” for 2023? This isn’t a 10+ month project, you could roll this out in the next update in 2 weeks. Your developers are capable. Spend less time turning cars into Fraggles & more time making sure that the ETAs you provide for cross-time zone trips are accurate. This isn’t a sparkly new feature we’re asking for, it’s a bug that needs to be fixed yesterday.

For me, the ability to see my eta in local time is very important. Otherwise, the app is fantastic.

At least add a line that says arrival time at destination is +\- hours.
