I always wondered why radar detectors didn't have some system with ambulance, police and fire vehicles broadcasting some special radar signal that would alert motorist ahead of them when they had their lights and/or sirens engaged. Could help warn people to move over and look out for emergency vehicles.

Add an emergency vehicle icon , Such as the Hazard, Police, Crash Icons. Have the voice tell people to evacuate the lane and to slow down. Allow Emergency Responders and also Tow Trucks the ability to add to it map quickly. Help us get home safely, one step at a time. Could be your family we are assisting. How about alerting Wazers when an emergency response vehicle is driving down the road behind them? This would alert drivers to pull over to the side of the road and make way for the emergency vehicles. You could just enable official emergency responders to enter their destination into waze and then when they get within a short distance behind wazers, have it alert the wazers to pull over and maybe reroute drivers away from the emergency response location?

We need a move over or slow down for emergency vehicles on waze! People should be able to report emergency vehicles and waze should tell them to move over or slow down!

Similar idea: Have the ability to specify is there is a person in the area. For example, add a separate construction option with the ability to report either an active construction zone (people working), an inactive construction zone (Nighttime, no workers present) and to specify lane closures due to construction (Right lane, Middle lane, left lane closed).

In addition, allow the user to specify if a vehicle or cop on the side of the road is sitting abandoned (no one around)/enforcing the speed limit (Not pulling anyone over) or if a car is newly broken down (people around)/a cop writing a ticket (lights on, out of vehicle).
