Time zone adjustment
Waze should adjust ETA to the local time when destination is a different time zone. When you leave Phoenix for southwest CO, for example, the ETA should be in mountain time, not AZ time. Currently, the ETA only adjusts when your phone automatically adjusts as you cross the time zone. It would be nice to know drive time is 6 hours, but ETA is 7 hours due to time change.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted.
Thanks!

Why is this NOT a thing?

SO freakin stupid not to do that!! And I love how they've chimed in with an explanation!

I would have missed my meeting without doing my own calculations.

When traveling across time zones, it would be good if the arrival time reflected the time zone of where you are arriving.

ETA is not correct when changing time zones. I travel for a living, and I always use this app, but the ETA is wrong every time

Come on Dev’s how hard would that be really? —Loyal Wazer

While navigating from state to state, in the US especially, sometimes your starting point and ending point of a trip are in two different time zones. Having the end trip time indicator take that into account would be very helpful in planning trips.

We’re driving across time zones so why wouldn’t the place of arrival reflect that.? It gave us our local (departure) time instead. Put a wrench in our meeting time.

As a developer myself, this is an obvious and necessary feature and not hard to implement. Hard to believe it is not included.

Agreed. It seems old fashion/low tech without this feature.

Waze should really adjust the time zone so you know you are losing or gaining an hour. Or at least warn you.

This really messed me up for a family get together. Crossed the state line and boom lost an hour ETA. Please, fix.

Agreed, this is such a simple thing and time zone maps should be an easy layer to add to the maps. It would be nice to not have to do time calculations and focus on driving.

It is mind blowing that this hasn't been fixed. Why would I care what time it is in Colorado if I am arriving in OHIO.

This is major bug and this is a simple fix that the folks at WAZE must fix. The QA department dropped the ball on this one.
The ability to determine your arrival time based on the time zone that you are traveling too is a must. Having your arrival time based on your departure timezone is just wrong!!!

Why doesn’t Waze account for time zone change like Apple & Google maps do?

With reference to the original ETA, if the ETA changes during travel, then displayed ETA is updated with new ETA; (red) for increase, green for decrease with time difference eg ORIGINAL ETA 14:30 / New ETA 14:25 [green] +5 or New ETA 14:36 [red] -5
