4. New destinations on the go

   Hi. Add this feature needed (especially por taxi drivers). When you have a route set from Point A to Point B, be able to add a point C, and D and Etc on the go, to go after point B (not before) without changing the route that already exists. And the application show you how much time and distance it will take you to go from A to C. Contact me for a better explanation if you don't understand. To keep things short. You should be able to add a new destination to go after the one that you already have and should be until 4 destinations more at least.

   Give the option to down load maps of other country and plan on it a trip without times. Just to see the best orders of point to visit. Save the routes and when geting to the country . Apply it on the live map

   Suggestion: Allow Users to Report Temporary Road and Bridge Closures via the Waze Website

   I'm getting quite frustrated with Waze, as multiple times during my commute from work to home, it has directed me towards bridges or roads that are closed due to construction work.

   I think Waze should introduce an interactive map on its desktop website that allows users to easily report temporary road closures, bridge closures, roadworks, and other blockages.

   Some features I'd like to see include:

   • Report closures from a PC: Allow users to select a road or bridge directly on the map and report a temporary closure.
   • Bridges as selectable locations: Make bridges identifiable on the map so users can report when a specific bridge is closed.
   • Temporary construction zones: Allow users to mark areas where roadworks are taking place, including the affected roads.
   • Upload photographic evidence: Let users upload a photo of a road closure sign showing the dates and times of the closure.
   • Manually enter closure times: Allow users to specify when a closure starts and ends, including recurring closures (e.g. overnight roadworks between 8 PM and 6 AM).
   • Community verification: Allow other Waze users to confirm whether a reported closure is still in place.
   • Better route planning: Ensure reported closures are considered when Waze calculates routes, preventing drivers from being directed towards roads that are known to be closed.

   I understand that Waze relies heavily on community reports, but not everyone can safely report a closure while driving. Having the option to report closures from a computer after completing a journey would make it much easier to keep the map accurate.

   The main goal is simple: if a road or bridge is closed, Waze should know about it before directing drivers towards it.

   I believe these features would significantly improve the experience for commuters and help prevent unnecessary diversions, wasted fuel, and frustration.

8. Changement d'itinéraire intempestif

   Quand on sélectionne trajet secondaire (avec péage moins cher par exemple), le trajet se recalcule souvent et remet le trajet par défaut et souvent le plus coûteux sans validation manuelle. L'utilisateur n'a toujours pas les yeux rivés sur les écrans. Il serait beaucoup plus agréable de rester sur le trajet choisi initialement.

9. Slow going cars

   Hi

   I would like to make a suggestion regarding a "mode" to be implemented.

   In Sweden we have cars for younger persons (from 15 years old) that aren´t allowed to faster then 30km/h and aren´t allowed to go on the highway/expressway/motorway. It would be nice to be able to choose this mode and the route is excluding the highways (I know you can choose that) and that the remaining time to destination is calculated with the 30km/h speed limit and the route should probably choose the shortest route per default.

10. Allow multiple modes for route personalisation

    The recent introduction of personalised routes based on previous routing/driving history is great - BUT - many drivers like me have several different driving styles - for instance a) driving around the speed limit b) driving slower to conserve fuel or enjoy the scenery c) driving a vehicle with lower speed limits, towing a caravan (travel trailer) in my case.

    In a recent example, my history was all based on mode a) but then I went on holiday using mode c) followed by mode b) - this resulted in Waze giving non-sensical journey times despite trying to be clever and personalise the resuts to suit me.

    The fact is that none of us use the same driving style all the time.

    For the moment I've switched the personalisation off which means all routes are based on a) but hope that multiple modes will be introduced in the near future

    Prezada equipe de suporte do Waze,

    Gostaria de sugerir a implementação de uma funcionalidade de planejamento de viagens por trem e metrô, abrangendo todas as linhas da rede metroferroviária de São Paulo e da Região Metropolitana, independentemente da operadora responsável.

    A proposta é permitir que o usuário informe a origem e o destino e selecione uma modalidade de transporte público sobre trilhos, recebendo um itinerário completo, desde o deslocamento a pé até a estação de embarque até o percurso final ao endereço desejado.

    Para tornar essa funcionalidade tecnicamente consistente e útil no dia a dia, sugiro os seguintes recursos:

    • Roteamento integrado entre linhas: identificação das estações de embarque e desembarque, sentido de circulação, estações intermediárias e transferências necessárias.
    • Estimativa do tempo total de viagem: cálculo considerando caminhada, espera pelo trem, deslocamento entre estações e tempo de transferência.
    • Comparação de itinerários: alternativas priorizando menor tempo de viagem, menor número de transferências ou menor distância de caminhada.
    • Informações operacionais atualizadas: apresentação de interrupções, circulação com velocidade reduzida, alterações de horários e fechamento de estações, conforme disponibilidade de dados oficiais.
    • Orientação durante o percurso: instruções por etapas e alertas de aproximação da estação de transferência ou desembarque, considerando as limitações de localização em túneis.
    • Acessibilidade: opções de trajeto que considerem acessos adaptados, elevadores e eventuais indisponibilidades desses equipamentos, quando houver informações disponíveis.
    • Integração com o deslocamento de automóvel: possibilidade de planejar parte do trajeto de carro até uma estação e continuar a viagem por trem ou metrô.

    Do ponto de vista técnico, a solução poderia utilizar uma base georreferenciada de estações, acessos e conexões, associada a um mecanismo de roteamento multimodal. A integração com dados das operadoras, por meio de APIs ou padrões como GTFS e GTFS Realtime, quando disponibilizados, permitiria incorporar horários e condições operacionais ao cálculo dos itinerários. Seria relevante também indicar a fonte e o horário da última atualização das informações.

    O principal benefício seria oferecer ao usuário uma visão integrada das opções de deslocamento, facilitando a escolha do percurso mais adequado e incentivando a combinação entre transporte individual e coletivo.

    Solicito que esta sugestão seja encaminhada à equipe responsável pelo desenvolvimento do produto para avaliação de viabilidade técnica e eventual inclusão no planejamento de novas funcionalidades.

12. Customize and Save Preferable Routes & Also In integrate Chat GPT for faster planning and voice control when spotting hazards

    Please add a feature that lets users create and save a preferred custom route to a destination. Sometimes we prefer certain roads because they’re quieter, safer, more scenic or simply better for regular travel. Let us select roads/waypoints, save the exact route, and reuse it anytime while still receiving live traffic, hazard and road-closure alerts. A “Create & Save Custom Route” feature would give Waze users much more control. Also it's very dangerous when we try reporting hazards by tapping on the phone while driving, which can cause accidents. We would all prefer a voice command open through navigation when we spot hazards we just tell AI it alerts the app at the pinpoint location as well. This would be a breakthrough with Waze maps. Everything else is good just some of this features will make it better. Come on we are in 2027 now, let's make use of AI and technology, probably a good futuristic design of the app as well would make users want to keep using Waze all the time. Time for an upgrade Waze team!

    Je vous contacte au sujet du routage proposé par Waze dans la rue [nom de la rue], à [ville].

    Nous constatons depuis quelque temps un afflux très important de véhicules dans cette rue résidentielle, notamment parce que Waze semble y orienter une partie du trafic afin d'éviter les axes principaux.

    Cette situation est devenue particulièrement problématique pour les riverains : augmentation du trafic, nuisances sonores, difficultés de circulation et de stationnement, ainsi qu'un enjeu réel de sécurité pour les piétons, les enfants et les cyclistes.

    La rue n'est manifestement pas dimensionnée pour absorber un tel volume de circulation. Nous souhaitons donc attirer votre attention sur les conséquences concrètes que peut avoir le routage algorithmique lorsqu'il concentre massivement le trafic sur une voie résidentielle.

    Une pétition a d'ailleurs été lancée par les riverains afin de demander que des mesures soient prises face à cette situation. Elle témoigne de la mobilisation locale sur ce sujet :

    אני משתמש בגרסה העדכנית ביותר. מבקש שבאופן קבוע האפליקציה תציע חניונים בקרבת היעד. או שתאפשר למשמש בכל שלב לפני היציאה לדרך ליזום חיפוש חניונים בקרבת היעד. הדבר משמעותי באופן כללי, ובפרט כאשר היעד נמצא בתוך עיר צפופה. לצערי בעניין זה האפליקציה לא פועלת באופן עקבי. אלא לעיתים מציעה חניונים בקרבת היעד ולעיתים לא. ולא ראיתי אפשרות עבור המשתמש ליזום חיפוש חניונים קרובים לפני היציאה לדרך. כך שמבחינת חוויית המשתמש, הניווט הכל כך משובח בדרך אל היעד עומד בסתירה לתסכול גדול אם בסוף הנסיעיה אין מקום הולם להחנות בו את הרכב בקרבת היעד.

    Hi Waze Team,

    I would like to share a feature suggestion based on a real-world driving experience.

    Last week, at around 4:00 PM, I set out on a trip from Joinville to Rio do Sul (Santa Catarina, Brazil). At departure, Waze suggested Route 1 (via BR-101 / Navegantes) as the fastest option. However, the route selection was based on the traffic conditions across the entire path at 4:00 PM.

    As a result, by the time I reached the Blumenau area around 6:00 PM, I ran straight into the predictable rush-hour gridlock on the BR-470 highway. Had I taken Route 2 (via Jaraguá do Sul) at 4:00 PM, I would have avoided kilometers of heavy traffic altogether.

    My Proposal:
    Integrate a predictive AI/Machine Learning model that calculates route efficiency continuously over time. Instead of assessing current traffic along the whole trip at departure, the algorithm should project expected traffic conditions for the exact time the driver is estimated to hit each specific segment (e.g., predicting 6:00 PM traffic in Blumenau for a driver departing Joinville at 4:00 PM).

    This forward-looking approach would make long-distance routing significantly more accurate and stress-free.

17. Joyfull ride

    I'd like to propose this idea for waze, I'd call it "Joy Ride."

    In this case, I would like to choose routes with curvy roads, other secondary roads, and not too slow speed limits.

    Yes, I know what you are thinking, why don't you just use the feature "avoid Highways"?

    But the problem is that if you use these features in some areas, it just diverts you through streets full of traffic lights and limited to 50 Km/h, not too joyful if you ask me. When what I want is to use the highway until I can divert to have some fun.

    There's also the case in which you want to have a joyride, because you have time, but you still want to get somewhere. So constantly choosing secondary roads can be too long, but choosing one or two would be fine. I don't know how to exactly implement this, but maybe waze would choose the usual main line and then propose detours or alternatives that you could select before leaving.

18. Backup and Restore Destinations

    Hi i would like to suggest a backup and restore function in case a emergency reset situation is needed that would normally wipe all earlier routes. And you only see favorite destinations .

    My suggestion is a way to backup and restore your route info and favorites so you will always have all former destinations you have been to in the past

19. Feature request: EV-aware routing using bus lanes (Estonian use case).

    In Estonia, electric vehicles are legally permitted to use public transport lanes. However, Waze currently appears to calculate routes and ETAs without taking this EV-specific access privilege into account.

    This can result not only in inaccurate ETAs, but also in Waze selecting a suboptimal route for an EV.

    A real example from my daily commute in Tallinn:

    I often have two main route options to my workplace — Paldiski maantee and Tammsaare tee. Both are major arterial roads, but Paldiski maantee has public transport lanes, while Tammsaare tee does not.

    For a conventional car, current traffic conditions may make Tammsaare tee appear faster. For an EV driver, however, Paldiski maantee can be significantly faster because an EV can legally use the public transport lane and bypass much of the congestion.

    On a recent commute, Waze predicted my arrival at 8:58, while I actually arrived at 8:53. The approximately five-minute difference was largely caused by the advantage of using the public transport lane, which did not appear to be reflected in Waze’s ETA.

    Suggested functionality

    When a user has selected an electric vehicle in their vehicle profile, Waze should take locally applicable EV road-access privileges into account when:

    • selecting the fastest route;
    • calculating the ETA;
    • comparing alternative routes.

    In Estonia, this would mean allowing eligible EV routes to use public transport lanes and calculating their travel times accordingly.

    More broadly, this could become a vehicle-aware routing functionality:

    Vehicle type + local road-access rules + real-time traffic = the fastest legal route for that specific vehicle.

    Waze already allows users to specify that they drive an EV, so extending this information to routing and local road-access privileges could make route selection and ETA calculations considerably more accurate for EV drivers.

    This would be particularly valuable in cities such as Tallinn, where access to public transport lanes can materially change both the fastest route and actual journey time during peak-hour traffic.

20. Add Parking Payment Stations with In-App Scanning and Accessibility Filters

    I would like to propose a comprehensive feature for drivers visiting new or large shopping malls, airports, or commercial centers: the ability to log, find, and pay at Parking Payment Stations / Kiosks (Cajeros de pago de estacionamiento).When visiting an unfamiliar place, finding where to pay for the parking ticket before returning to your car can be frustrating and time-consuming. This feature would extend Waze's mission of reducing stress for drivers, from the road all the way to the mall exit.🛠️ How It Could Work:Community Sourced (Waze Places): Allow users to report "Payment Station" as a specific sub-category or icon under Parking/Services when using the "Place" report tool. Drivers can take a photo and pin the exact location (e.g., "Basement 1 - Near North Elevators").Under the "Find Parking" Feature: When a user arrives at a mall and selects a parking lot, Waze could display a sub-category showing verified payment spots within that structure.Walking Navigation: Once the user opens the app to return to their car, they can quickly search "Pay Station" and get a precise walking pin to the nearest machine.🚀 Premium & Complementary Features:In-App Ticket Scanning & Digital Payment: To eliminate the need for physical cash machines entirely, Waze could allow users to scan the barcode or QR code of their parking ticket using the phone’s camera. Through strategic partnerships with participating shopping malls that accept this system, and integrations with Apple Pay, Google Wallet, or credit cards, drivers could pay their parking fee directly inside Waze before walking back to their car.Accessibility Filters for Payment Stations: Shopping malls can be massive and hard to navigate. Waze should include accessibility tags for payment kiosks (e.g., wheelchair-accessible paths, step-free access, or elevator-proximate locations). This ensures that users with disabilities or families with strollers can find the most accessible route to pay and return to their vehicle.
