I am writing to you as both an avid user and a developer to propose a routing idea born from a personal experience.
The other day, while driving in an area I already knew well (Aprilia) after a tiring day, I blindly followed the navigation instructions. In an attempt to save a few minutes or a kilometer, the app directed me onto a secondary road that was nearly impassable and riddled with potholes. Since I have a new car, you can imagine my dismay!

Shared Route Responses
I suggest adding more options to the respond que once someone shares their route with you. Currently, "Thank you" and "I'll be right there" generally don't make sense when clicking on their icon on their route. "Thanks - Drive Safe" or "See you soon!" or maybe, "Bring Ransom Money/ Beer/ Milk/ Candy." 😊

Feature Request: Personalized Cost per Minute for Route Selection
I would like to suggest a feature that would make Waze's route selection much more useful.
Currently, Waze will normally recommend the faster route, even when the time difference is very small and the faster route includes a significant toll.
For example:
- Route A: 42 minutes, no toll
- Route B: 40 minutes, $6 toll
Waze will normally choose Route B because it is faster, even though I am paying $6 just to save 2 minutes.
I don't want to completely disable toll roads, because sometimes paying a toll is absolutely worth…

Commercial Vehicle
Due to having A work van I would be amazed to see a commercial vehicle feature where the speed limit sign is reduced on single (50mph) and duel (60mph) carriageways
With this feature it would be nice to have a function where you can put weight and height and width dimensions in and the route chosen avoids bridges and tunnels that commercial vehicles are unable to use
I believe that it would also be nice to have early announcements maybe as an option where it will warn you of a camera early in advance

Add “Ask Toll Road every time” and fix “Avoid difficult intersections”
Shall we have the option to choose if we want to go Toll Road or not every time we search for a route? Currently we only have “ Toll or No Toll”.
And the option “avoid difficult intersections” shows an even more difficult route that coming out from a small street turning into a heavy traffic main road. Avoid difficult intersections should mean use the intersection with traffic lights that having a clear “stop-go” decision. If the route asks you to travel small quiet street then get across the heavy traffic main road, it’s NOT easy at all. It’s Dangerous.

Fix your stupid app so you can plan a route from a starting location where you aren't
Fix you app so you can plan a route from a starting point different from where you are at. Supposedly your app allows that in iphone, but I'm either the stupidest person alive, or it is so un-intuitive it's ridiculous. I have spent hours trying to figure it out. Could you make it any more complicated. I hate waze today.

Country-by-Country Vignette Selection
The Problem: Currently, Waze treats "Toll and HOV passes" as a global on/off toggle. When planning a multi-country route across Europe (e.g., passing through Austria, Slovenia, and Hungary), toggling any vignette on tricks Waze into clearing the route, but it doesn't tell the user which specific country's vignette they are actually missing or need to buy.
The Solution: Allow drivers to select individual country passes (e.g., check boxes for Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, etc.). adding the new express lanes on the 405 in CA from the 73 to the 605
I noticed when a user has toll roads on when driving in north orange county in southern CA, the new express lanes on the 405 freeway from the 73 to the 605 are not added in to the routes, unless you start driving in them, and then the route activates, the app would get better if the user could see the ETA difference of taking the express lanes vs. not taking them.

Trust the Detour: Waze Should Show Real-Time Savings for Alternative Routes"
In France, during major vacation departures, Waze often suggests alternative routes that are supposedly faster—sometimes even taking you off the highway. But how can drivers trust that this detour is actually a good idea?
My proposal: Waze should automatically share the actual time saved (or lost) with users who took the suggested alternative. Here’s how it could work: Waze identifies a few vehicles heading to the same destination that didn’t take the detour, then compares their travel times with mine if I accept the alternative.
