Show search results on map
Waze search results are objectively inferior both in app and on android auto/carplay as compared to other popular navigation apps such as gmaps or apple maps.
Both of those apps display search results on a map view, with A, B, C etc pins with a selectable list on the side, and this works in app and on the in car head unit display. Google Maps also has a MUCH cleaner "add a stop" workflow.
This is a critical and basic feature gap that makes competing map applications much easier to use for searching10 votes -

Enhancing Navigation by Selectively Considering Planned Road Closures
One possible solution could be to include a checkbox that allows editors to choose which planned closures are considered so important that they should be taken into account in the navigation before they become effective. This way, editors can select only the closures that are critical for navigation, while excluding those that are not as important.
For example, in Switzerland these days, the Gotthard Tunnel is closed at night for cleaning. This closure can cause significant disruptions to travel, as the Gotthard Tunnel is an essential link between German-speaking Switzerland and the Italian-speaking Ticino region. Without the tunnel, the detour would have to start much further away, causing much longer travel times and significant inconvenience.
If the closure starts at 10 pm, the navigation would strictly continue towards the Gotthard Tunnel until that time, only to then turn back shortly before the closure. This could be avoided if the planned closure could be taken into account in the navigation before it becomes effective.
A restriction would not pose this problem, but we would not have the flexibility to adjust the closure at short notice, as we would have to wait for the map update. That’s why it would be useful if the planned closures could be taken into account in the navigation before they become effective.
With the checkbox, it could also ensure that the end date is taken into account. For example, if the closure ends at 5am, navigation could start towards that closure beforehand. However, this can only be ensured with the checkbox, so that in case of an accident or an unclear closure end time, navigation is not initiated prematurely.

Configurable Speedometer & Speed Limit location
Before I go ahead and suggest improvements, Waze is a great navigation app with excellent features. I love it! Great work, Waze team; keep it up!! 👏
I suggest introducing a feature where Waze app users can configure the location of the speedometer and speed limit information through the Waze app preferences to be positioned in one of four display corners. I have noticed reports of inconsistent placement across different platforms; some Waze apps display this information on the left, while others display it on the right. To set the context, the suggestion is based on using the Waze iOS app version 4.92, where the speedometer and speed information are in a fixed position in the lower left corner (when in landscape mode/when the mobile phone is tilted horizontally).
Before proceeding, we must always rely on the car's speedometer and the actual road signs! This suggestion is to improve the current in-app experience for Waze users who find that the speedometer and speed limit information are farther away from the steering wheel.
The lack of regulations in this field introduces an overlooked driving hazard. When the speedometer and speed limit information are located in a fixed position further away from the steering wheel, it introduces a driving hazard as the driver has to spend more time navigating the information on the Waze app navigation screen. I am confident that this is an overlooked feature because most Waze users are drivers in countries that drive on the right side of the road; thus, the steering wheel is located on the left side, which is closer to the speedometer on the Waze app navigation screen.
The problem arises when the speedometer and speed limit information are displayed on the left side of the Waze app navigation screen, while the steering wheel is located on the right side. This placement of the speedometer and speed limit information forces the driver to spend more time navigating the information. I would expect more complaints if the speedometer and speed limit information were moved to the bottom right corner and could not be changed. Please, Waze team, let us make driving safer by introducing this overlooked yet crucial feature to improve the Waze navigation app experience. Thank you!

Suppress lane guidance announcement when turning lane is a single lane
Currently, on intersections with Lane Guidance mapped, for TTS voices, Waze announces the number of lanes that turn. For example, "Use the right 2 lanes to turn right".
My suggestion is that if there is only a single lane in the rightmost or leftmost position to perform the turn maneuver (whether it's a Keep, Exit, Turn, or U-Turn), Waze do not announce the "Use the right lane to turn right", or the "Use the left lane to turn left". If there are more lanes or more complex maneuvers, Waze keeps the lane announcments.
There are two benefits:
1) This shortens the announcement times - this is especially useful in urban areas where drivers may be requested to perform several turns in a very short distance/time
2) If there is a single lane to perform the turn maneuver, it should be obvious to the driver. Waze should announce only if the maneuver is not obvious.Note 1: I am making this suggestion to suppress the voice announcement only. This visual lane guidance will continue to be shown to the user.
Note 2: I am suggesting that the announcement suppression be performed for a turn with a single lane. So, if a particular intersection has 2 lanes turning left, but one lane turning right, the "Use the left 2 lanes to turn left..." announcement will still be announced, but the "Use the right lane to turn right..." announcement will be suppressed.

Add a new german TTS voice
Currently there is only one german TTS voice. A new german TTS voice or the option to use 3rd party TTS voices like Siri or Google TTS would be nice.

Please make and option to romove the stipid candys and associated noises
The stupid candy and noises are insane i really would love to know who developed this app and how it is even road safe. Drivers are distracted enough with out their phone making stupid game nosies. Driving isn't a game please remove this from your app or at the very least make an option to shut if off.

Since Brazil has a lot of potholes, I think there should be a shortcut for potholes on the screen for the drivers to be able to report

“Getting fuel/food” option if leaving the route, instead of being nagged to return to it
We just finished a two way cross country journey between Colorado and New Jersey. As usual we used Waze, and as always it was great. However, whenever we pulled off the interstate for any reason we were, of course, nagged with directions to get back onto it. I thought it would be really useful if a box could pop up where you could choose “stopping for fuel” or food, or rest break, so that the app would just pause directions

Add Shortcut to "Vehicle Stopped On Side of Road"
I found a post from 2016 asking for this and it still hasn't been implemented!
There should be a shortcut on the navigation screen to send a "Vehicle Stopped on Shoulder" report with a single click.
This is, by far, the most common type of report and it currently requires FIVE button presses - all of them while looking down at the screen. A user-configurable single-click report button would be even better, but a "Vehicle Stopped On Shoulder" button would be a massive improvement to the current 5-clicks.
This has been suggested many, many times over the past many years, but not implemented. Why?

Speed camera
For UK, notify drivers both sides of the road for upcoming speed traps (non motorway routes). Cameras catch traffic going both directions, not just the side the Speed camera is on.

Option to Disable Waze from Lowering Music Volume, Especially When Music is Playing on Car Speakers over Bluetooth and Waze on Phone Speaker
Please give users to ability to stop Waze from hijacking the audio and lowering music being played. This is especially sensible when music is playing via car speakers while Waze is navigating over the phone speakers. There's literally no reason for Waze to interrupt the music in this case. And even if the music is playing on the phone, there could simply be a different volume bar for music.

Add voice search while driving.
I want to be able to voice search for an address or a place while I'm driving. It is rather a inconvenience to have to put my vehicle in park in order to search where I want to go. Unless I'm doing it wrong.
