construction zone stays until construction finishes option
add start/end date option for long-term construction zones
Many road construction and lane reduction projects remain active for days or weeks, but Waze temporary reports disappear after only a few hours.
This creates a major issue because users must repeatedly re-report the same construction zone every day, and once the alert disappears Waze begins routing traffic directly through that delayed area again.
Example: if a city construction sign clearly states lane closure or road work for 30 days, users should be able to submit a construction report with an optional expiration date or duration.

Dashcam
Dashcam which offers possible navigation support has all things like speed etc rear and forward. Here is the idea ai. Image recognisearion which links with a phone I did this simply with raspberry pi python and a YOLO I made it ping when police were in view maybe it's possible to make it mark them up on the app real time option to enable disable this feature for privacy make sure it only sends a gps ping location and don't do it in a radius near somebody's house fully anonymous reporting with this dashcam links up with the app so…

Bottom toolbar shows and hides itself insanely
I use Waze on my iPhone 17 Pro Max screen directly, I often see the bottom toolbar shows and hides itself every 1 second while driving, and when it happens, it will never stop, I have to re-launch the app while driving, which is very dangerous and inconvenient. Toll vs no toll cost estimating
Currently, Waze shows estimated costs for tolls which is very helpful. However, I think it would be very beneficial if there was a feature comparing the estimated cost of taking a toll road vs taking the longer ‘no toll’ option. For example, if a toll road might cost $5 but saves 15 minutes of driving, based on current average fuel prices (typical fuel type and average L/100km entered by user) could a cost estimate for fuel used on the longer route be used to compare and inform the decision for which route to take? Feature Request: Expand Custom Voice Capabilities
I love the “Add a Voice” feature—it’s such a fun and meaningful way to personalize the experience. However, I ran into a limitation with the number of prompts available. For something like a wedding trip, where we want to include inside jokes, family moments, and different types of directions, the current prompt list feels too limited. It would be amazing if Waze could expand this feature to allow: more prompts, multiple variations per prompt, or a way to upload a fuller custom voice pack. Prioritize travel time vs. always suggesting the express lanes on the highway
Waze always suggests the Express lanes, regardless of which set of lanes (Express or Collector) are moving faster between the next cross-over point. Every time I get on the highway, Waze directs me to the Express lanes. Many times, the collectors are moving faster than the express lanes, so I do not understand why Waze keeps directing to the express lanes. Waze should prioritize travel time and should only suggest the express when the travel time is shorter (i.e. when the express is moving faster than the collectors), and when the express makes sense based on the exit you need…

Animal Crossing Hazard
I tend to be on the road often and absolutely love using Waze whenever I need a GPS. As someone on the road often, I tend to notice there are many times that there are sudden animal crossings or a lost pet on the side of the road. This does tend to be on highways where many people are going very fast and are not as careful with their driving.

Implement a “Parking Ranger Alert” feature within reporting tools, similar to existing options for road blockages or traffic incidents. This would allow users to quickly notify others when a parking ranger is in the area, helping drivers make more informed parking decisions in real time.

Add voice notification when there is a mobile police camera in the opposite lane
I use Waze almost every day. I recently received a ticket and noticed that when there is a mobile police camera marked in the opposite lane (even on a two-way road), Waze does not send me a voice notification or warn me about it. Mobile police cameras measure speed in both directions. Can you make the app send a notification even if there is a mobile police camera marked in the opposite lane?

Background Safety & Enforcement Alerts
Add an opt-in "Background Mode" that alerts drivers to speed cameras, red-light cameras, and police presence even when the app isn't being used for navigation.
This would provide "passive protection" for daily commutes where a driver knows the route but still wants to be notified of real-time road hazards. To save battery, the feature could automatically activate only when the phone detects it is connected to a vehicle's Bluetooth.1 vote -

In the province of Quebec, Canada there is a new law requiring all gas stations to update their prices within 5 minutes of changing their prices. The information is freely available from regieessencequebec.ca and there are already apps using this real time data. Waze should link to the government website and use its data that is updated in minutes after gas stations make any price change (they legally have to or face fines of $1,000-$4,000). This data is highly accurate and Waze could even provide alerts from it for users in Quebec, Canada.

Alternating Traffic
Could you create an icon to report alternating traffic during roadworks, using traffic lights?
Because everyone uses your icon for traffic lights that are out of order, even though that hardly ever happens...
