Add vehicle’s height
Hi
I think that adding a feature to your waze account where you can choose your car height would help you by driving in adjusted roads and driving eventually in a more accurated path7 votes -
Adding an exemption pass for Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels When you have disable badge
When you have a disable badge you can apply for congestion charge exemption. This is already a pass on the app you can add. However, this also allows you to go through Blackwall tunnel and Silvertown tunnel for free. So adding this exception should be updated. Since it always defaults to going over dartford bridge.

Hazard duration
I've checked, and I can't seem to find this suggestion, if it's already here please direct me to it.
I like to suggest that the duration of some hazards be changed. In particular potholes and construction. Potholes where I am usually last for a month at least, and there aren't enough wazers to keep the ones that are already reported active, so an extended duration for potholes would it be helpful. Even if it were a day or two, it would let other wazers confirm that it's still there.
Construction, could last for a number of hours, or the remainder of the day, as there are lots of short term construction projects that pop up for a day, but like potholes they time out before the construction is done. As with potholes other wazers would have an option to remove the report if it were ended.
This change would be convenient, and help people to better avoid delays.

Potholes are problems on the roads. But long stretches of pothole-ridden sections are also an issue.
Potholes are problems on the roads. But there is something even more annoying, which is larger sections of the road that are completely holed or damaged. The suggestion is to create a new type of alert that is more lasting. Something saying "Damaged section ahead." Perhaps many countries do not suffer from this, but here in Brazil, whether in small towns or capitals, this is extremely common.

Blue badge
Enable there to be a toggle where people in the UK can toggle blue badge which will enable users to drive through certain tolls for example with my blue badge I have certain tolls for free like congestion charge and I'm free to drive through blackwall and Silvertown Tunnels.

Push the start date limit for road closures an extra month in the future
Right now, map editors can place road closures at most one year in advance. When an event ends, they often announce next year's date. It would be handy if we could add those closures at that point, even if the event will take place like a weekend later next year. Now, we often have to set a reminder to add these next week or so. Therefore, I'd like to propose this limit gets pushed one extra month in the future, making the limit 12+1 months. It might be best to adjust this limit for some other related things, such as traffic events, as well.

Optional Weather/storm overlay
I think it would help to have an optional weather overlay into the app. Alerts concerning weather from other users are great but this would be a game changer.

Safety and crime based routes and reporting
Waze should introduce a feature that allows users to report unsafe or crime-prone roads—especially relevant in high-risk areas like South Africa. Based on personal experience, Waze has sometimes routed users through dangerous neighborhoods, which can be especially hazardous for tourists or those unfamiliar with the area.
This feature should allow users to flag roads where recent crime has occurred or where safety is a concern. These reports could be time-stamped and reviewed by the community, similar to how speed traps or traffic accidents are currently handled.
In addition, Waze should add a toggle in the app’s navigation settings—like those for avoiding tolls or highways—that allows users to automatically avoid high-risk areas when planning a route. This would give users more control over their journey and increase trust in the app’s routing, particularly in developing markets where safety concerns are a daily reality.
By helping users avoid dangerous routes through crowdsourced safety data, Waze can position itself as a truly adaptive and user-focused navigation tool.

Emergency vehicle
Clicking/ reporting for an emergency vehicle should be for stopped emergency vehicles and accidents.
It drives me crazy when people are clicking emergency vehicle just because they are passing by which is NOT helpful. This is apparently unclear. Would you kindly make a post that populates with the next update to inform wazers not to click for non-stopped emergency vehicles?7 votes -
Kate
What have you done with Kate? For a while, a second voice occasionally interrupted her flow; a wee while later, a second voice joined the annoying interruptions. Now, Waze claims to have fixed the issue – but that is that Kate’s voice is now completely different: deeper in tone, accented, drops Ts, and is really grating. I have tried the other two female voices, and don’t like either of them…which is why I chose Kate! Why has Waze limited the UK options to just three? Other English-speaking nationalities have many more! Howsabout you just give us back the original Kate, please, Waze? If you don’t: I’ll be deleting the app, I’m afraid…

The "Preferred fuel" should contain EV charging standards too (ChaDeMo, CCS, etc) and list EV chargers if set :) Thank you!
The car menu already provide relevant info if you set your preferred fuel, but it's only for ICE vehicles. Please add option for EV's, and if set, provide chargers as relevant information.

Speed Camera Audio Alerts should be User not Community Choice
It seems there is a lack of clarity regarding Speed Camera Audio Alerts and how they are triggered.
From what I can tell, audio alerts for speed cameras are a "community" choice, meaning that an audio alert will only be played given a number of conditions:
Depending on where you live - Your "community" decides what the threshold should be, that is if you are currently travelling at the speed limit or below, some communities will trigger the audio alert. Some communities require you to be travelling over the speed limit before the audio alert it triggered. Also apparently there is a setting for cameras in the map editor that allows to populate the speed camera. If this is set to 0 the audio is always triggered.
It is questionable that the visual trigger is always activated regardless of what speed the user is going and this is potentially a visual distraction especially if no audio alert is played. Surely it is far safer to audibly relate this information rather than have the user check something pop up on the screen while driving or to keep checking every so often to see if the visible speed camera alert has popped on the screen.
These settings are not made clear by Waze and feel there needs to be a bit more transparency regarding about how the audio speed camera audio alerts work. It is all very confusing and leads to the conclusion that the app doesn't work correctly, when in fact it does, but is a setting related to a "Community" choice.
I won't get into detail about who I think the "Community" might be, maybe this a legal requirement depending on where you live, but again this needs to be more transparent.

Add Option To Avoid NYC Congestion Pricing
I drive from NJ to Queens NY and want to avoid the new congestion charge. Would like to see route options that avoid the new congestion road tax.

EV charging list filters
It would be perfect to see/sort/filter the charging list with distance (to current position, regardless of added time) availability, and charging speed. When a charger is needed, it should be possible to pick from a couple of closer, available and faster selection.
