  3. Less verbose mode (few short instructions)

    I would like to have a "less verbose mode" where the voice navigation would just say a few short instructions, like "turn right" for example, without all the verbose stuff like street names; or "speed trap", without all the useless words around it.
    The reason is that sometimes I like to listen to music, or audiobooks, or having a conversation while driving, and I find that Waze verbosity is very annoying.

  8. Repat voice navigation

    Currently, Waze may announce a turn only once, making it easy for drivers to miss the instruction, especially at complicated junctions, flyovers, highway exits, and unfamiliar roads.

    I suggest that Waze announce each important turn 2–3 times at appropriate intervals:

    • First alert: Well before the turn, so the driver can prepare.
    • Second alert: As the turn gets closer.
    • Third alert: Just before the turn, when necessary.

    The timing should depend on the vehicle's speed and road complexity. Users should also be able to enable or disable repeated announcements in settings.

    What have you done with Kate? For a while, a second voice occasionally interrupted her flow; a wee while later, a second voice joined the annoying interruptions. Now, Waze claims to have fixed the issue – but that is that Kate’s voice is now completely different: deeper in tone, accented, drops Ts, and is really grating. I have tried the other two female voices, and don’t like either of them…which is why I chose Kate! Why has Waze limited the UK options to just three?   15. Announcements depending on speed

    I recommend that Waze adjust the "trigger distance" for pre-alerts when traveling quickly.

    For example, currently Waze pre-alerts "In one-tenth of a mile ..." regardless of speed.

    If you are driving 60 MPH, you cover the one-tenth of a mile in a mere 6-seconds ... by that time, Waze is already alerting you (AGAIN) that it's time to make the turn.

    I'm all for voice alerts ... but when the app gabs for 10-seconds straight because of back-to-back announcements, eh....

    Warning: Area with a high concentration of traffic accidents.
    Based on daily accident reports, mark areas with a high frequency of accidents as high-risk. Provide a voice warning: "You are approaching a dangerous area with a high concentration of traffic accidents - drive with increased caution!"

    In urban conditions, it can also be applied to dangerous intersections: "Dangerous intersection ahead."

    For turns where accidents are often marked: "Caution, dangerous turn ahead!"

    These voice warnings could greatly contribute to the safety of road users. It is important that they have a voice alert before entering the specific section.

  18. Automatically route

    Automatically route address based on voice input like Google maps.

    I am tired of saying navigating to a particular address and then Waze forces me to select and confirm after clearly specifying where I would like to go.

    Can you please make it like Google Maps where you say it once and it takes you there.

  19. Waze user to be able to edit or delete his own incorrect report location

    Why cant a wazer that reports a camera or police position edit his own report if he makes a mistake? Its hard to accurately report such things whilst driving and passing the location, not to mention illegal. I wont report now as I made a mistake and couldn't edit or remove the incorrect report. Please can we have this feature in a future update to enable new wazers to accurately use the report feature and in turn promote wazers confidence and a more accurate location reporting. I was so embarrassed when I made the false report that I haven't dared…
