Please just show a free driving map without written directions
When you force a listing of written directions or force us to enter a destination, it is annoying and prevents me from seeing the map allowing me to use free driving by the map routes. I do not like driving my car by written directions. I want only to see the map of where I am and drive to wherever I am going.
I really hope this posted feedback matters, but I don't feel that the developers of this app really care about things written here. When this app first came out, it was excellent. Now it is a real pain to use it.
If some people want written directions to a destination, then that should be an option to select in the app.
If people just want to drive seeing the map only, then that should be an option.
What you are doing now forcing us to enter a destination before driving and stopping us from seeing the map really is a major negative for using the Waze app.
I wish Waze would go back to the days when we just pulled up the app, and it showed us the map and where we are on it while we drove to wherever we were going.

Separate Voice Options For Voice Reporting
Currently there are voice options that don't come with the "with street names text" When using said voice options, voice reporting becomes unavailable.
It would be great if there was a setting provided that could allow users to set separate voice options for voice reporting. This would allow users who can't go without voice reporting to be able to play around with different voices.

Still There - Not There buttons in Waze
For the Still There and Not There buttons in Waze, having the buttons next to each other is an issue as you have heard. My suggestion would be to have Still There on the top, the notification reason (Police Ahead, Construction, Accident) in the middle and Not There on the bottom. Because the notification reason is not a button that can be selected this layout would help the issue of hitting the wrong button by accident.

add start/end date option for long-term construction zones
Many road construction and lane reduction projects remain active for days or weeks, but Waze temporary reports disappear after only a few hours.
This creates a major issue because users must repeatedly re-report the same construction zone every day, and once the alert disappears Waze begins routing traffic directly through that delayed area again.
Example: if a city construction sign clearly states lane closure or road work for 30 days, users should be able to submit a construction report with an optional expiration date or duration.
Suggested improvement:
Allow users or map editors to choose:
• construction active today only
• active for 3 days
• active for 7 days
• active until selected end dateThis would help Waze keep routing accurate during long-term lane reductions, prevent unnecessary traffic backups, and avoid sending drivers into known 5 to 15 minute lineup zones once daily reports expire.
This would be especially useful in growing cities with constant utility and roadwork projects.

Option to Select Expressway of Choice (Mix and Matching)
In Phillipines there are Expressways that are owned by different companies.
They are likely non competing so depending on your destination, you're either going to use either one of them or both.So It is natural to have them in Toll and HOV Passes (Autosweep RFID and Easytrip RFID), so the route functions correctly for your desired destination.
But there are certain conditions that they are now competing.
Specifically with NLEX Connector Road vs SKY WAY Stage 3Say you begin your travel at Santa Mesa Manila for example, if your destination for example is somewhere North like Pampanga or Baguio.
the App will likely recommend the Skyway Stage 3 to go to NLEX and then NLEX to your desired destination.
with other route options like service roads.But in reality you have 2 options now to go to NLEX, you can now use the newly created NLEX Connector Road or Sky Way Stage 3.
Right now my solution is to remove one of the RFIDs (Autosweep or Easytrip) to get my desired expressway choice.
this also happens on routes that does not need to go in an expressway but still recommended to.
For example your destination is NLEX, and you want to go service road then NLEX
right now the option if select service road all the way or select expressways all the wayWould be pretty nice to have an option which one to select, kind of like a prompt that asks you which one you preferred on taking.

Hi Police Officer here, I like seeing people posting officer locations
Hi, police officer here. I like seeing people posting officer locations. It encourages people to slow down. It's beneficial in high-traffic/complaint areas. This results in fewer crashes and fewer complaints. With that in mind, could an alert or notification be implemented that notifies users/drivers of an approaching speed limit change and when it changes? I know the speed limit indicator changes, perhaps something a little more flashy.

Move speedometer position
Hello Waze team,
The speedometer is currently hard to see in its position while driving. Please add an option to move it, especially to the top-right corner, or allow users to customize its position on the screen. This will improve visibility and safety.

Exploration mode
On my motorcycle I find myself changing settings to avoid highways and tolls. It would be nice to have a button for this with a reminder to return to normal mode after. I sometimes forget to change back and then have long commute to the next place.

Dashcam
Dashcam which offers possible navigation support has all things like speed etc rear and forward. Here is the idea ai. Image recognisearion which links with a phone I did this simply with raspberry pi python and a YOLO I made it ping when police were in view maybe it's possible to make it mark them up on the app real time option to enable disable this feature for privacy make sure it only sends a gps ping location and don't do it in a radius near somebody's house fully anonymous reporting with this dashcam links up with the app so it has internet access. Maybe also make one for a helmet for bikers aswell. Make it detect different things like roadworks maybe etc but police seem to be the easiest atleast from my experience attempting this. Bottom toolbar shows and hides itself insanely
I use Waze on my iPhone 17 Pro Max screen directly, I often see the bottom toolbar shows and hides itself every 1 second while driving, and when it happens, it will never stop, I have to re-launch the app while driving, which is very dangerous and inconvenient.
