Plot recently driven roads
It would be great to have an option to mark roads recently driven by other wazers. This would increase the confidence that it's clear from traps, traffic jams etc.

Integrate with Google Latitude
Would you kindly consider integrating Google Latitude in a future iPhone version? I'd love to autoupdate my waze-less family on where I'm driving and it's a bit awkward having to run waze+glympse or waze+latitudie at the same time. If waze was able to update the Latitude position at least every few minutes or kilometers, it would help a lot. Many thanks in advance, and thanks for waze, it works pretty good although there aren't too many users here yet.
20 votesAt the moment this isn’t possible. Hopefully you will find the FB and Twitter integrations sufficient.

2-way road option when munching & mapping new roads
Most roads that I've ever driven on are 2-way roads, yet waze assumes that any new road recorded or cookie munched is on a 1-way road. I'd like a client option to default them to 2-way, since I know that there are areas where 1-way roads prevail. If I happen to munch a 1-way road while in 2-way mode, I can easily correct it in cartouche later, but I'd much rather correct 3-5% of the roads (or less) than 95-97%.

Add an ICE icon for active incidents in real time
We need an option for when we see ice activities in public. Not only does all of this hold up traffic and put us behind behind of where we’re supposed to be, but we also need somebody to step up and be the heroes. Somebody with an infrastructure already in place that allows us to coordinate and work together. You’ve shown time and time again that you’re willing to step up and do what’s right, and now we need that more than ever. Please join us on the right side of history while there’s still a chance.

hide street name
Good morning,
Would it be possible to create an option to hide the street name? At certain intersections, the purple sign hides the white arrow. Additionally, with Android Auto, the street name is already indicated. Sincerely. RR19 votes -

Switch between editor profiles on different servers (NA - ROW - IL)
For those of us who edit on more than one server, it would be really helpful if we could easily switch between servers on our editing profile. I edit in both NA and ROW. My editor profile shows the server for the last place I edit (except sometimes it takes a day or so of editing in the other environment for my profile to switch), which makes it difficult to find the last place I edited on the other server.
I can make a whole string of edits in Laos, make one edit in the US . . . and not be able to go back and see where I left off in Laos . . . or the other way around.
There used to be a script that allowed me to easily switch between servers, but that "broke" when "something" changed in the software, and does not seem to be "fixable."
This is really frustrating!

Add information/instructions on when to add a pass
My suggestion is for the following feature:
Either:
Add an information panel when users enter the Toll and HOV passes page for the first time, informing them that adding passes may route them into areas or through restricted roads.
Or:
Allow us to add information against each pass/permit, giving the user guidance as to what each pass is for.My suggestion solves this problem:
There is less chance that the user will select a pass/permit that they shouldn’t have due to the misunderstanding of how the pass system works. In more words:
Now that Passes/Permits that users have added to their accounts are being passed through to URs in the editor, it’s become obvious that users are adding passes that they shouldn’t be adding. This may be down to a misunderstanding of how the Pass system works. Do the users think they must add the pass to avoid such routes? Maybe.
Adding instructions to the Passes screen or information to each pass individually (preferred) on when to add the pass will give the user a better experience and not be routed where they shouldn’t be but also reduce the amount of URs being raised due to these unexpected routes. My suggestion is for the following feature:

In-app option to turn off familiarity capping
Give the users the option to always display Speed Cameras and Hazards that familiarity capping would otherwise remove from the display.

Show Stop lights
Make viewing intersections with stop lights and option (show the stop light on the navigation). This is something Apple Maps has and it helps people anticipate turns and make less mistakes.

Allow us to create customizable single press shortcut button for hazard reporting etc.
Too many steps to press while driving to report hazard etc can be dangerous. Why not allow users to create a customizable single press shortcut button for reporting car on shoulder or object on road instead of multiple steps of pressing buttons to get to the final issue. ie. not needing to press Hazard and then having to search the type of hazard in the small phone screen while driving. A single shortcut would be much easier. The most commonly used report for me is car on shoulder so why not just allow me to create that single shortcut.

About large vehicles
Waze currently does not support heavy vehicles. However, large vehicles also cause traffic congestion, so it would be better to deal with them in the future.
Supporting larger vehicles allows you to collect more information. This information includes important information for understanding traffic conditions, such as the location and situation of traffic jams and road conditions.
Collecting this information allows Waze to provide you with more accurate traffic information. This allows drivers to avoid traffic jams or choose the best route if they are stuck in traffic.
However, supporting large vehicles also increases the burden on the server. Therefore, a possible method would be to charge a fee for large vehicles and use that fee to cover the burden on the server.
This method increases the burden on users of large vehicles. However, it is considered a necessary measure to alleviate traffic congestion and provide more accurate traffic information.
In conclusion, Waze would be better suited for larger vehicles. However, I think there should be a charge for large vehicles to compensate for the burden on the servers.

Rest area icons and an Altimeter
I use Waze literally every time I get in my vehicle. For both local driving and road trips. It would be awesome to have an altimeter on the screen and to have it show rest areas on the map. Maybe in map editing if we could add rest areas and other places with restrooms to the maps that would be great and a major help for travelers.
