  1. Allow choice in HN street name

    Hi

Certain streets have a different name or city depending of side.
It would be great to allow, when adding HNs, editors to specify what name we want to assigne to it when alternate bloc is filled.

    Thanks

  2. Add postal codes/ZIP codes to Waze address editor

When a Waze app user searches for an address added using the Waze Map Editor, it does not show the postal code. But with Google addresses, the postal code is shown. Please add postal codes to the WME.

  3. Counter for Chargers at a Charging Station

Please add a counter to charging station tab Chargers. Once you need to scroll (~7+ charging points), it's difficult to assess how many chargers there are. Example: this Tesla Supercharger: https://waze.com/nl/editor?env=row&lat=52.16064&lon=4.54912&zoomLevel=20&venues=2949642.29824096.27841780

Just something like this would suffice: https://i.postimg.cc/90z5LZ8z/afbeelding.png

  4. Issue Tracker: within the Areas I Manage list, add an "All my areas" option

An All my areas option will give me a high-level view of all the areas I manage without selecting each area.

  6. Link points POI to an Area POI

    Hi guys,

The idea is to link points POI to a Area POI.
For example, linking stores in a Mall or linking a company office in a building.
    It's also to avoid this kind of editions : https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon ... 157&zoom=6.
I think this will help editors to determinate which stores or companies are present in a Mall/building and help user to use the right entry to go to shopping or working.
It will be a plus if you can also link, a point POI entry on an Area POI entry.

  7. Street Parking

We have parking lot roads that cover most parking situations, but there's not a great mechanism for handling street parking on public streets where it doesn't make sense to mark a road as a parking lot road. Examples: Many residential neighborhoods, many downtown areas.

Suggestion is to add a flag to all driveable road types except freeway and PLR/PR to indicate "street parking is allowed", along with pricing information similar to how we handle parking lot areas. This could be part of the next phase of the parking project.

  8. Allow applying A->B closures on B->A segments (and vice versa)

When selecting a one-way segment with a closure, and another segment without a closure, it is currently possible to select "Apply on all" to extend the closure to the second segment.

This only works if the second segment has the same one-way direction of the first segment.

When a segment with an A->B/B->A closure is selected, add a new option "Apply closure in any direction", which applies the currently selected closure as "both" on all additional selected segments.

  9. Use of alternate city names for routing

Several years ago the decision was made to use the postal city as an alternate city name for routing to addresses in rural areas. According to Wazeopedia "Waze founder and CTO Ehud stated in a US meetup that a search algorithm is so much work to build correctly and maintain, that Waze does not want to spend the time, money or energy to build their own, and are happy to stack the Waze matching process on top of the Google search algorithm." As a result, WME editors have spent untold time and energy adding the postal cities to these segments.…

  10. Traffic Control Devices

Enable editors to add traffic control devices to intersections like stop signs and traffic lights. This could help drivers navigate when there are few signs/lights.

It’d also be helpful since many drivers make “landmarks” along the way. They’ll know to look for the stop sign in 1000 ft, not just to make a right in 1000 ft.

I don’t think it makes sense to let phone users make these additions, though they can communicate through URs.

  11. WME Road Types

The current classification of roads on the WME follows the road types in the USA (Freeway, Major and Minor Highways and other road types).
In Europe, but I think also in other parts of the world, the classification of roads is very different. This creates problems with editing roads, as it is difficult to adapt the WME type to the real situation.
It is necessary to revise the road classification of the WME according to the real classification of each country so that each country can edit the map in a correct and more real way.

  13. add deny last modifications on edits and lock user liké first 10 edits

When we made modifications, add the ability to remove the edit, for exemple, an editor that does'nt came for a while doesn't know about new editing rules and made errors, if another find it, he could cancel the change, if there is more than 10% of the last 100 edit are refusée, then the user should need to pass 10 new validation before auto submitting...
That just need to be able on the 100 last updates or 30 last days

  14. Disable lane guidance on some intersections

It would be great to disable lane guidance on some intersections, so the user will not view the next lane guidance until he cross the intersection.

  15. Feature Proposal: Visual Markers for Start and End of Average Speed Zones

    Dear Waze Team,

We are writing to you on behalf of the community of volunteer map editors and Waze app users in the Czech Republic. We would like to propose a new feature that, in our opinion, would significantly refine and clarify the display of average speed camera zones on the map.

Currently, we lack an effective way to visually mark the precise start and end points of an average speed zone on the map. We therefore propose two possible solutions:

    1. A New Icon with No Sound Alert: We propose the introduction of a new, non-audible icon that editors could…

  16. Vitrual Lanes

There are many places where Lanes go one or two junctions back (H junctions for example). The editor should allow to define lanes that are not limited to the turns at the end of this segment:
    Real example:
We have 3 lanes. The left lane is loaded for 1 KM. In that 1 KM there are 4 junctions ( right turns allowed).

It would be nice to be able to define 1 lane for Left turn, one for going Straight Ahead, and one for Straight Ahead or Right. And be able to do this for all 5 segments.

  17. Tell us if the reporter closes their own report

    (Copied from https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1525&t=228417)

Please tell us if the reporter has closed their own UR (don't need to know their username).

Quite often a UR is closed by an editor, and it gives their username in the email and closed UR. The problem is we aren't told if this is just some random editor, or the reporter themselves.

It annoys me when an editors closes URs without comment, as it goes against etiquette, but I wouldn't be so bothered if I knew it was the original reporter. If it wasn't the original reporter, then we could follow up with the…

  18. New Permanent hazard: Check-point

In many countries, fixed check-points are installed on the road. It could be done by Police, Customs, Tax services, Weight check... and even borders.

It would be great to have those marqued on the map as permanent Hazard " Check point". It has basically the same effect of a toll booth: You often need to stop there, or a least drive through at a very reduced speed.

This would be a great safety enhancement for both drivers and those manning those check points.

  20. Modify the display when showing history of Turn Guidance

When checking the history of changes to turn guidance, the side panel is too narrow to display the Turn Guidance image (both before and after images)
The box for displaying the arrow takes up half the width (although the proportions are consistent with how its displayed) we don't need that much space used when checking the history.

I am not sure what other changes might be possible, maybe also providing the text fields as text (it would allow us to see if the change was with information in the text field.
