I would like the option to specify a route preference to favor multi-lane roads. They are typically safer to travel, less likely to be entirely blocked, and often much straighter and less hilly which makes it more comfortable for the passengers and easier on the tires, throttle, and breaks.
I hate being routed through some winding mountain road because it is 1 minute faster or your app thinks it saves fuel. It often doesn't save fuel because of the constant elevation and speed changes. Expressway or multi-lane roads often allow me to get 30% better fuel economy, so unless the winding route is >30% shorter, it doesn't save fuel. What is more, stoplights don't save fuel, so when I'm asked to get off a limited-access road for a more optimal, fuel-saving, route, it actually works against what you're after.
