I don't know whether it's an update in v4.101.0.1 (or recent to that) or something with my new phone, but these buttons have suddenly started disappearing at or before the physical thing that is being reported. It might be a minor difference in GPS location speed for different phones, but they need to stay for the 5-10 seconds after you've passed as they used to.
Optionally, make it a user setting for how long they will remain after you've passed the incident.

I just swipe from the right edge of my phone to the left and Waze shuts down. Maybe that's a special useful feature only found on Android phones.

What we are aiming to do here is speed based alerters.

Sure, "Don't speed" is a "simple" solution, but so is "don't look at Waze when you're driving because it means you're taking your eyes off the road, yet everyone here does that. I see people panic braking when they see a cop even if they're going below the speed limit.
If you don't want the notification because you're holier than thou and don't speed, then simply turn that notification off - it's really easy to do.
And, this issue seems to be like the one on Microsoft Excel's UV to quit mangling numbers when importing into an Excel file - it's been sitting there for more than a decade with thousands of up votes and it's been ignored too.
Big companies like to claim to listen to their users by putting up these sites, then they simply ignore them.

IF this is added, give me an option to opt-out. I don't want random people sending me messages about something I'm not interested in. It'll look like spam to me.
I've already turned off the "beep" and "message" function because I don't want them. Don't force "social" functions on people who may not want them.
