An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedIt sounds like you're requesting timed cameras. Is that right?

An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedMany people do volunteer "24 hours" as you say, so the levels do need to be high.
But try not to look at it like that. You have local knowledge that can improve the map in your area. You're not expected to do it all alone. Work with your local community who can lower locked roads down to your level for you to fix and earn edit points. Senior editors can also provide mentoring to help your editing skills develop.
Find your local community on the forums and ask how you can help: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=19

An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedYou can report a Map Issue at the site of the permanent/fixed camera, and provide a detailed description in the comment field. A volunteer map editor will need to know the exact location of the camera and the direction it faces.
Details on how to report a map issue from within the app is here: https://support.google.com/waze/answer/6262574?hl=en&ref_topic=6262573

You cannot report an issue unless you are directly at the exact site on a route, which is dangerous.

Being able to report from your current location provides some integrity to the report. You can also use Google Assistant / voice controls within the Waze app to report hazards as you approach them.

An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedThe problem with this is the quality mapping of cameras drops and is open to abuse. Instead, report a Map Issue at the site of the permanent/fixed camera, and provide a detailed description in the comment field. A volunteer map editor will need to know the exact location of the camera and the direction it faces.

An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedYou can report speed traps and other mobile enforcement cameras and vehicles as police. It'll still capture people's attention :)

An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedRemember, just driving with the Waze app open helps improve the map for everyone (even if you're not in navigating mode).
But also, traffic jams typically do show up in red. Have you tried out the live map? Might be a better way to see the traffic congestion and hazards you're looking for: https://www.waze.com/live-map

An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedThe Waze map is powered by the community and relies on local knowledge, like yours, to keep it up to date. Have you considered becoming a local map editor? Connect with other members of the editing community to try and coordinate edits together. Sometimes, the road will be locked and you'll need help to fix things like speed limits. Find your local community here: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=19 and reach out to help fix a local area.

An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedThe great thing about Waze is it is the community helping the community. You can report the closure in the app to help other drivers avoid the same closure. Details on how to report different hazards, including closures here: https://support.google.com/waze/answer/6262574
Waze only lets you report closures on roads you're nearby in the app and usually only ahead of you. Next time, try reporting the closure earlier, if it is safe to do so.

Head to https://www.waze.com/live-map, find the exact location, click share (or the link icon in the bottom right) and paste the hyperlink here so we can see where it is. Local volunteer editors might be able to improve the area to overcome this problem.

An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedCan I suggest you make a post on the Waze forums requesting assistance from one of the many volunteer map editors? If the business is listed incorrectly on Waze, they can move the business on the map and correct any details that are incorrect so that users and your customers have a better experience. You'll need to include the name of the business and the correct address. It might also be helpful to find the location on the Waze map (https://www.waze.com/live-map) and then "share" the link to the location for the editors to find it easily.

An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedThe Waze Crisis team already keeps an eye out for disasters around the global and responds to them by closing roads, adding shelter pins to the map, adding evacuation zones to the map that warn users of danger, and much more. An error occurred while saving the comment LostInMyMaps - Volunteer Editor commentedThe problem with this suggestion is that hazard reporting is generally time sensitive. Reporting police or something on the road is generally only useful when the information can be displayed immediately on the map for other Wazers behind the reporter to see. Adding the hazards retrospectively significantly reduces the value. Police regularly move, traffic hazards resolve, and traffic jams are dynamic, etc.
Though in small areas where there is no cell signal because it is blocked by builds or mountains, it might be useful. But it's a significant investment of coding time in what seems like small return. And an internet connection is required to use Waze.
Sounds like you're talking about lane guidance arrows becoming more apparent inside the Waze app?
