Would like access to WAZE from apps
Would like access to WAZE from the app SortScape I use for my job scheduling I have also contacted sortscape developers regarding this issue

Select initial driving direction
Very often Waze starts up navigation facing the wrong driving direction. The direction is rectified as the vehicle starts moving, but it can be too late for the initial turn.
Please add the ability to switch driving direction when navigation starts, via a button.
Additionally, Waze should make a better guess at the intial driving direction by using compass data.

Setting the Car’s direction when starting the app and navigation is a known matter which will be addressed in the future.
There are many complexities in location tracking which cause this issue and hold us from providing a solution.
It’s currently on the back burner, but definitely a part of the backlog. -
Temporary recording of speed and location
Please add a setting where you can record the last 2-5-10 minutes of a commute with speed, location and a timestamp. This could allow us to help defend ourselves against police errors. Ive been pulled over twice this year on the highway whit the cruise set to 120kph and the police told me they snapped me a 138 and 130 witch is not possible. It would be nice to have some kind of proof to back me up in the future. People could set this up when creating the account or even disable it for more speed in the app…

Put stopping areas/bays onto maps
When travelling, you need to know where the stopping bays are. on the map you could either have them permanently or as a search button.

Burn in Screen
I am using Waze everyday in my car however; recently I have noted that the waze interface is causing my AMOLED screen to show a shadow screen of waze even while I am in other apps. I was wondering if the waze display screen items location can be changed randomly on an occasional basis to avoid such issues on the phone screens. I informed some of my friends and they found same issue on their phone so we are forced to reduce usage of this app as much as possible to avoid severe damages to our displays. Thanks for your…

The Report button was designed to be noticed while blending in and it’s important to keep it as is.
However, we will revisit this idea when working on Dark mode, in the future. Furthermore, since this is a physical issue that OLED phones suffer from in different apps, we recommend to use Battery Saver mode to allow your display some rest from bright colors that might lead to this dysfunction.

Waze Campus Map for Universities
This would allow students to locate and map their drive/walk to various areas on campus including dining facilities and even things like coke machines, etc. Further, most major universities have mobile apps. Allowing them to integrate with APIs would be amazing. There's a HUGE advertising opportunity here.

Android auto - missing setting
Om android auto user interface there is no posibility on change route option: "avoid/not avoid toll roads"
Very interesting because when you are driving maybe you want to change it easily.

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
Android Auto Proected is a major focus for us in this year, and we encourage you to read more about it in the Android Auto forum for updates and latest releases.

Leona Chen - please bring voice back
When I opened the app today, her voice was gone! Please bring her back. She reminded me of my time in Singapore and in Malaysia. And I really quite miss her!

As you probably know, some of the voices we feature are promotional, meaning they are only available for a limited time.
We offer special voices for holidays, events, and just for fun.
You can use these for the length of the promotion. When the promotion ends, your voice will reset to the default and the voice will no longer appear in the Sound menu.We hope that you enjoyed the voice while it was available and can’t wait to share more exciting voices to come!
Want to try another voice?
Tap Menu and tap the Settings wheel.
Tap Voice & sound.

Alors que des gros rouleurs qui ne connaissent rien à ma localité peuvent le faire avec leurs niveaux

CarPlay speed not padded
The current speed, when connected to Apple CarPlay takes the speed from the vehicle and pads it by approx 11%.
Please either show gps speed or car speed provided by vehicle. Padding not required.

Address lookup with Google Search (Android Auto)
When searching for an address on your phone you get an option to search using Google rather than Waze which is very helpfull as very often I've found Waze can't find an address or location entered but Google nails it just about every time... I would even like to make Google the default if I could as it's a lot more reliable..
For now, just having the ability to search for your entered location or address via Google when using Android Auto would be a good start :-)

Offer a satellite view of the map.
I like how Google maps gives me the satellite view. Why doesn't Waze do that?
